I started as a make-up artist after finishing my Fashion Merchandising degree from the University of North Texas. I have worked for 16 years in the beauty industry. During this time, I have been professionally trained by Bobbi Brown, MAC cosmetics, and bridal extensively in Austin. I am constantly updating my skills, including studying with top industry creatives. In addition, I have done numerous special events, photo shoots, and shows. Leslie was communicative, kind, super warm and friendly with my family and worked with me to finalize my makeup vision. The makeup was gorgeous and lasted all day through sweat, happy tears and an outfit change! I'm so glad I booked LeslieJo Beauty as the hair and make-up artist for my wedding celebration! I had her do hair and make-up for myself, and make-up for my mother and my mother-in-law. I so appreciated the care and attention she took with the mom's. I could tell that Leslie made them feel relaxed throughout the process, and that they both felt beautiful with the end result. It was amazing to see them glow with extra confidence and joy. Both the make-up and their happiness lasted throughout the night! She also made me feel beautiful, too. I looked and felt exactly how I wanted to: glamorous but still myself. I worked up quite a sweat while dancing late into the night, and the make-up held up great. Leslie was amazing to work with, leading up to and during the big day. Super communicative, very flexible, and an expert at what she does. I would highly recommend LeslieJo Beauty to any bride.

As a professional photographer, I rely on makeup artists to make my job easier during retouching. They can literally make or break my editing session. I've worked with Leslie multiple times and her work is among the best I've seen. She has the rare ability to read a situation and understand exactly where her talents fit into a project. Makeup is easy to get wrong. Because she understands the project, she knows exactly how much to insert herself to make the look match the overall vision. Understanding the nuances of a project is what sets her apart from many other makeup artists I've worked with. Another thing that sets her apart is that she understands lighting scenarios. Going above and beyond to understand how lighting impacts skin in photography is a rare skill that most makeup artists don't fully understand. I highly recommend her services.

Leslie was extremely easy to work with. She was very responsive and we had a lot of fun getting ready before the wedding. She did air brush which was a new experience for me and it lasted very well! We also appreciated her taking the extra health precautions by wearing a mask while she was with us.

Both Leslie and Elena did an amazing job. They listened to my vision but gave guidance where needed during my trial. The wedding day was crazy having a large wedding party in a small prep area but their stylists managed it well. The hair and make up was flawless and stayed the whole night.

I was very pleased with Leslie’s work! She did a fantastic job during the trial and the wedding day. She was very easy to work with and has a calm demeanor which was so great in the midst of so many things. She did a great natural look for my mom and a more glam look for myself which I loved. I had sent her a couple of examples of what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely recommend her because of her positive personality and tremendous talent!!

Leslie was so wonderful! She showed up on time and was so efficient. She was able to do my mom's, aunties, mother in law, and my makeup just in time for my ceremony. We started just about 11 am and finished by 3 pm!! I felt like a real life princess lol. I wanted more of a retro look and that's exactly what she gave me. I got so many comments all night. Leslie is nothing short of amazing!! I have sensitive skin and don’t wear a lot of make up so I was very nervous! Leslie did a trial run with me and I was sold! She did several bridesmaids and moms in addition to mine and everyone loved their make up. It didn’t feel heavy but still provided full-coverage and she listened to exactly what we wanted! Along with all of her talent, she is also so very sweet, accommodating, professional and very reasonably priced. Recommend 100%!!!

I don’t do makeup. I am 65 and I needed to look good for my Son’s wedding. I sought LeslieJo out and she was happy to help. She was patient with my reluctance. I learned that shading, and even fake eye lashes, can do wonders in the hand of an artist. She made me look pretty. My son said I looked like Julie Andrews!
