Going into the day we were nervous about everyone having a good time, but we shouldn't have ever worried. however, I do think it is important to share our experience. We also did have someone show up to our wedding, which is important because had it been a no-show completely, that would have been the worst, IMO. Around 1 pm the day of our wedding my fiance gets a call from our DJ (we paid for the 'best' DJ they had) that he was double booked and would not be attending our wedding, but that he would be sending a replacement. Again, I am so grateful that someone was able to come, as not having a DJ/system would have completely ruined our wedding. However, the DJ that was sent (Robb Batts) was unresponsive to my fiance's attempts at communication, messed up the music for our ceremony (we didn't get to walk down the aisle as husband and wife to music, even though we were announced twice which was awkward and waited an absurd amount of time in my opinion), and did not initially play our music at the reception. My mother's prayer and speech were not announced and not photographed due to that, same with our toasts which are moments I CANNOT get back. Our schedule was not followed and announcements were skipped altogether, I had to approach the DJ stand multiple times, for example, to ask for him to tell the guests they could get desserts (we had a variety of cupcakes). Just thinking about it almost puts me in tears. Luckily we had a good group of friends so once the music got going we made the best of a frustrating situation because I didn't need to ruin my reception photos on top of everything else, however, even with that, it was like my iTunes was just put on shuffle nothing special (actual comment multiple people made to me during and after the wedding) and of course after my husband messaged the DJ we paid for and asked him to talk to the DJ about playing the music we requested because initially, the music was not remotely close to what we requested. We paid for DJ Joel Rabe because of the experience we wanted and said multiple times in emails, texts, phone calls, and in-person meetings how important this was to us, we did not get that experience and we will never have the opportunity for a do-over. I am still so upset about everything, but you live and you learn. I hope no one else has to go through this stress and pain on what should be the happiest day of their lives. I have stuck with the facts of what happened, and I have texts, emails, witnesses, to corroborate the events, because I think reviews and being honest is a very important part of keeping sites like the Knot accurate and informative.

We felt an immediate rapport with him from our first video meeting. On the day of, he showed up on time, was flexible by arranging around our photographers and wedding planners needs. He was sure to double check all the versions of our songs for certain events ( we had specific versions of songs we wanted played for first dance etc). the dance floor was full the ENTIRE time, every young person at the party danced very hard for the whole night, even my younger brother who I have NEVER seen dance before stayed on the floor the whole time and had a great time. We had a wide variety of music choices and he knew what to do with all of them. He read the mood of the dance floor well, changed songs at the right times, he knew when dancers were getting tired, so he gave them quick breaks and then reeled them all back in. He was an absolute hero, and everyone of my friends left at the end of the night being very sore, very tired, and happy from dancing. He's a great professional, a great performer, he injected wonderful personality and hosting into his running the dance floor and I highly recommend him.

When planning a wedding every bride worries of the possibility that their wedding will be boring, or no one will dance, I know I thought that, and this couldn't be furthest from the truth on our day! We worked with DJ Charles Honeycutt and could not be happier! We spoke with Charles the week before the wedding after we filled out our song preference sheet. We made sure he was aware that he didn't have to stick to our song list, if what we had wasn't working, then feel free to change it up and feel the crowd because we wanted everyone on the dance floor and Charles did just that. There was NEVER a dull moment in dancing. He played songs for all age ranges and got everyone on the dance floor. Our guests had an blast and we of course did too!! I would highly recommend Lethal Rhythms for any event especially Charles Honeycutt!! I don't have enough good things to say about the kindness and professionalism of this company! He spins at 150+ weddings annually, so he is a true EXPERT at keeping the party moving. Even better, he took some great pictures of the crowd from his DJ stage, and even provided us with a custom mix of our entire wedding playlist. My now wife originally wanted a band, but we are so glad we opted for DJ Joel, as he certainly brought a wider spectrum of music than a band ever could (he even does his own mixes on the fly). In short, our goal for our wedding was to have great food, ample booze, and fantastic music, and DJ Joel Rabe came through in spades in the last department. You won't be disappointed!

Joel took the time to meet with us on multiple occasions from initial conversations, check-ins, walk-thrus at the venue, and finalizing the details to be sure we had the most magical reception and he did not disappoint. He gave us great feedback on ideas that we wanted, made suggestions, and turned our ideas into reality even better than we thought. He knows how to keep the party engaged and pick up on the vibe if the music needs to be pumped up or settle a little (ours was pumped to the max). We used Lethal Rhythms DJs not only for DJ services but also for the photo booth rental (HIGHLY recommend and so much fun!) as well as videography. Lee and his team did a great job with videography and were extremely professional with working closely and seamlessly with our photographer. I LOVE our sneak peek video and so excited to see the full video soon. Joel worked closely with our wedding planner, day of coordinator, and photographer to make sure everyone was in contact and on the same page so there were no hiccups day of....which coming from a little Bridezilla was much appreciated :) I cannot thank Joel and his team enough and for the great job they did.... my friends and family are still talking about the reception! He understands the complexity of his role as a DJ--not just as someone who plays good music, but as someone who sets the mood for the event and coordinates the progression of the evening. To top it all off, Evan is just a good guy all around. You might not realize it if you are currently planning your wedding, but you want to be surrounded by good people at your wedding, from the event staff to your coordinator, and your DJ is especially important. You want to like the people you work with. Lethal Rhythms provided that positive experience from beginning to end.
