ere they DJ’d for and it was awesome and my phone calls prior to the wedding were wonderful. However, there were too many mistakes from DJ Kay at my wedding. The song was incorrect that the groom walked down the aisle to, the bride and groom introduction song was incorrect, the DJ said the wrong groom name when announcing them for the first time prior to the first dance- these were all mistakes made before we even got to meet the DJ in person. The cake cutting song was played during dinner, numerous song requests were accepted including a special dance song that was not approved by the bridal party and greatly affected the timeline messing up sunset photos- even though it was discussed with the DJ prior to the event to not allow song requests from guest- this also resulted in “must play” songs not being played. The DJ also did not announce the release of tables for the buffet or the cake cutting. It felt as if just as playlist was being played. When I made the company aware of my experience they stated that the DJ was only human and that it appeared from videos that’s everyone had a good time. This experience was very disappointing especially when paying for a level 2 service for a more experienced DJ and hope that others have a better experience at their wedding with a DJ than I did.

We selected a Tier 1 DJ package with them (their most basic), but since a Tier I DJ was not available on our date (after we had already signed the contract), they provided us with a Tier 2 DJ at no extra cost. Our DJ for the day, Darian, was enthusiastic, professional, and open to any questions or requests we had. The software we were given to fill out with our requests and our wedding timeline was very thorough. We had a call with Darian the week before the wedding to go over everything, and on the day of, we felt very comfortable that everyone was on the same page, and it would be a great day, and it was! We had multiple guests tell us after the reception that they loved the DJ’s song choices. We had a mixture of older and younger guests, and Darian really played something for everyone. All of our guests had a great time, and that was the most important thing to us. Overall, great service, affordable pricing compared to a lot of DJ services out there. Would recommend!

The bride had informed me that she was told to tell me to go up to the DJ (in this case DJ Wante) to let him know when we were ready for those two songs to be played. After all the important dances had passed (mother/son and father/daughter dances) I went up to the DJ to ask him when it would be appropriate to do the dances/songs after my niece asked me, excited to do the dance. I went up to the DJ booth (sat right by my table) and before I could even get a word out of my mouth, he practically stuck his finger in my face across the booth and said, “No.” in probably the rudest and most unnecessary attitude I’ve ever experienced so brashly. It was completely embarrassing and insulting for me to be treated in such an unkind manner. I made sure to wait once the important dances were over and was simply going to ask him when it would be good for me to come up and request the dances but he gave me no opportunity to go about the situation in a professional or genial manner. My nieces and nephew were absolutely disappointed by this turn of events. What should have been a fun night had taken an upsetting turn for me with DJ Wante’s unkind behavior.
