FaceTime, she made us feel super comfortable about the entire process and was very knowledgeable. She also took the time to get to know us as a couple before talking any photography details! Alexa came prepared to our engagement session in Santa Monica and had already scouted the area before we got there. During our engagement photo session, Alexa gave the perfect amount of direction and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera - we were laughing and having so much fun the entire time! She took so many pictures during our 2 hour session and there are too many good ones we can’t even pick a favorite!! Not to mention her rate is amazing and you get a sneak peak of your gallery in what seems like hours after your shoot and then with a blink of an eye (two weeks give or take) you have your full gallery. Alexa took two seemingly awkward in front of the camera individuals and let our geek shine, and that shine resonated through her camera lens into a gallery of photos that showed our personality and love for one and another. She gave excellent direction on like hey try this pose, shake it up, walk over there, look back, smile, or give her a smooch that had us laughing and in turn made for brilliant photos that we will cherish for all the days to come.

Before shooting our elopement/engagement shoot with Alexa I was so nervous and unsure of how to pose, but Alexa guided us through the entire process and reassured us the entire time. We chose in person because we wanted to make sure it was the right fit. We are not super “photogenic” and we wanted to make sure that we felt comfortable with our wedding photographer. ions prior to us signing anything, which she did not pressure us to do at all, we booked her that same night we met her we just knew she was the one. Come our engagement shoot day, my fiance and I were a little nervous since we have never taken professional pictures before in the 8 YEARS we have been together. The first couple of seconds were awkward but once Alexa started to direct us we got the hang of it so fast and felt super comfortable. The pictures were so natural not pose-y at all. She made us laugh, told us exactly what to do it was a walk in the park- no punt intended. Once our shoot was over she told us our picture would be ready in 3 weeks and she delivered them in exactly 1 week and 6 days! YUP! She had to instant message me because I went the whole day without noticing that my inbox had my pictures already! Our online gallery is so easy to maneuver and download all our high resolution pics which she did a spectacular job in editing. Plus having all your pictures in one spot and simply giving our family members/friends the link for them to look at is SOOOOO easy! Overall it was such a great experience I cannot wait until our wedding day and see all our gorgeous pictures taken by this amazing photographer! Take a look for yourself, the pictures don't lie!

start of by saying I didn't want to do this engagement photoshoot but the fiance wouldn't take no for an answer lol So you guys could imagine how nervous I was the night before. I almost could not sleep but when I met Alexa it felt like we've known each other for a long time. We had that instant connection and she is just a very fun person to be with. She has great personality that brings out the best in you. When we got to Joshua tree, I was very impressed and inspired by how professional and talented she is. She has an eye for everything and you can really feel her passion. This girl is up for anything and is willing to do everything to make the couple stress-free. Her positivity is contagious. Until now I am still so surprised on how everything turned out that day. I was not nervous at all and I almost forgot that we were doing a photoshoot because we were having such a good time. It was an experience that will we will never forget because aside from the fact that it was our first time at Joshua tree and probably the first and last time we could ever drive a 1965 convertible mustang, we created memories that we will forever cherish. Anybody can be a photographer but only the best ones can make you forget that someone is taking your photos and can make you enjoy each other's company. I am truly heartbroken that I can't have Alexa as my wedding photographer since I booked one already way before but if we were to get married again we definitely would get her!!! was informative and fun, so it seemed like we were taking pictures with a great friend rather than an acquaintance with a camera. This made it so easy to act natural in front of the camera and I know our pictures came out beautifully because of it. I can't emphasize enough how great it was working with Lex. She's tons of fun and a real professional behind the lens. She came up with creative poses and motions to get in great positioning for pictures. We were blown away when we received some teaser pictures LATER THAT SAME NIGHT! She didn't have to, nor did we expect to have several edited and polished pictures in our inbox that we could share with our loved ones and friends. I cannot recommend Lex enough, and am thrilled that she will be taking our wedding photos next year!

os speak for themselves - see the attached photos from our engagement shoot as well as the 85 (!!!) photos she sent us for our SNEAK PEEK within several days of our wedding. Alexa shot photos that were absolutely beautiful, artistic, and reflect the love, friendship, and happiness of our wedding day. However, I also need to comment on the SEVERAL other ways that Alexa was a critical part of our engagement and wedding. 1) She was incredibly flexible and rolled with the punches. As an OBGYN in residency, the majority of my personal life (including wedding planning) gets shoved to the side. I met, booked, and shot my entire engagement shoot with Alexa in a SINGLE DAY. And because she knew we were behind on our wedding website and because she knew I hoped to use her photos, she surprised us with our ENTIRE edited gallery of photos within the weekend. That leads me to.. 2) Alexa works so incredibly hard and CARES about you. She probably broke her eyeballs editing our photos just to surprise us with them. But in addition to her actual role as a photographer, she essentially acted as our real wedding planner. We had a very difficult time working with our hired wedding coordinator that caused me many tears. Alexa was there to provide us with encouragement, advice, opinions, and referrals when I felt a little abandoned during the wedding planning process. 3) She's fun and goofy -- but extremely professional. As all the other reviews describe, she and her team make you feel comfortable even when you're inclined to feel awkward. We had a laugh as she helped me repeatedly tape my plunging Reformation dressing to my chest ("Don't worry, I do bourdoir shoots too! We all have the same parts" - Alexa). And she kept our wedding shots going in a fun, lighthearded, but very timely and efficient manner. 4) She has an eye and aptitude for understanding you. I showed her my engagement dress and gave some vague descriptions about a beach shoot. I really had no idea what I was looking for. But she picked the perfect spot and made my husband and I look like pros. I could go on and on but let me just stop here. I'm crazy about Alexa and I hope she can photograph every important event for the rest of our lives! I've been referring her to all my friends, newly engaged couples, people who just started dating...basically everyone and their mom - and now all y'all on Yelp! We love you, Alexa!

It's always a pleasant experience! Communication between the photographer and videographer is pretty important throughout the day and Alexa makes it super easy. We both aren't huge fans of having our pictures taken, but our entire wedding day was a breeze. She allowed us to enjoy our day together but also made sure she got some amazing pictures and really felt like our friend the whole time. Even our guests can't stop raving about how amazing she is. We couldn't preview our venue, we didn't have a rehearsal, and we couldn't plan our photo shoot locations in advance, so all the photo details were up to Alexa. We placed absolute trust in her to capture our wedding however she felt would look best. Alexa spent time with us prior to the wedding to create a timeline for photos and create a possible shot list. I had a very compact time frame for photos on the ship and Alexa made it happen. Every minute of our day was planned perfectly and she was on time or even early to all of our shoot locations. During the reception she made it a point of going to all of our guests to see if anyone wanted special photos. In less than one week after the wedding we were sent an online gallery of sneak peeks and honestly I would have been satisfied with just those considering how incredible they were. Within a month of our wedding we had over 800 edited photos of our wedding, each more beautiful then the last.  What everyone in our wedding raved about was her speed and professionalism. We never had to retake photos and we only had to pose for the photos once. All in all, could not ask for a better photographer. I'm recommending her whenever I even think someone may need a photographer.
