I’m Lex, the lead photographer of Lex Nelson Photography. I serve couples all over New England -from Bar Harbor to Boston and everywhere in between. Being out on the ocean is my happy place and I believe sunshine is good for the soul. I love pastel colors and pure joy in my work. There is nothing I enjoy more than exploring the rocky coast of Maine with my couples and capturing this gorgeous place I call home.
I graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a BFA in Digital Media. Since then, I’ve worked as a graphic designer, bridesmaid stylist, associate photographer, and finally, a full-time wedding photographer. Starting my own business was something I dreamed of doing and I’m so proud that I made it happen. My job as a photographer allows me to witness the sweetness of your unique relationship and be a part of one of the most special days of your life. I find joy in my work, light and love within my couples, and inspiration in the wildness of nature.

ything on the day of the wedding would run incredibly smoothly. She was so calm and collected throughout the day and helped us make sure everyone was where they needed to be for photos. We aren't at all used to being photographed, but Lex made us feel so comfortable to the point that we were having so much fun taking photos.
Her turn-around-time was incredibly fast and the photos are stunning. There were so many details we had spent months planning that we didn't get to see on the day of the wedding because things were so busy, but Lex captured all of them! We're so thrilled to have these memories captured so beautifully and grateful to Lex for all of her hard work.
