After speaking with two other potential planners, we felt Kaelyn had the experience, savvy and reliability that we needed. Kaelyn does not mince words - she knows her shit and isn’t afraid to be honest. As a person who appreciates clarity, honesty and openness, Kaelyn was a perfect fit for us. We worked with My Wedding Planner for well over a year during our engagement, and Kaelyn was always available to assist. She kindly listened to all my TikTok-generated ideas, many of which we implemented. She kept our planning timeline on track, visited venues with us, discussed pros and cons and provided options if we didn’t like what was available. Kaelyn is incredibly well connected in the community and never came up short when we needed suggestions. She helped with rehearsal dinner, floral, makeup, hair, video, our hotel block and more! There truly isn’t enough space to cover all the ways Kaelyn made our wedding wonderful. We used her full service planning, so she presented vendor options, we looked them over and discussed with her, and she did all the arranging of contracts and provided payment reminders. The week of the wedding she picked up decor, retrieved and returned glassware we rented, provided emotional support, talked me off ledges, fixed fallen hair, repaired broken suspenders, adjusted our timeline when it got significantly off course, decorated, directed, handed out vendor tips, managed to keep my husband on task and I’m sure there are tons more things she did that I didn’t even notice! After the wedding she mailed in our marriage license so we had one less thing to worry about. If you want to enjoy your wedding day, you need My Wedding Planner! When we were first beginning wedding planning and discussing our budget, I thought: Gosh, Kaelyn’s help is a chunk of our budget, I hope it’s worth it. As time went on and the wedding grew closer and finally happened, I thought: We did not pay this woman nearly enough. She is worth her weight in gold. Thank you Kaelyn, Amber and all the others on the team who helped us along the way. You are all fantastic, professional, fabulous people who have a true passion for what they are doing. Working with you all was a dream. I will recommend you to everyone! Bonus points because Kaelyn and her business is LGBTQ+ friendly!

Our original point of contact with LexEffect resigned about five months before the wedding and Kaelyn took over with a seamless transition. By the time of our first meeting with her, she had totally familiarized herself with all of our details and never gave us a moment of concern. She made great suggestions, researched and rented equipment for our LA band, picked up and delivered food for our wedding party on the day of, set up the entire rehearsal dinner and reception venues per our vision, and saw to every detail. All of our vendors were coordinated through a detailed timeline, and the rentals were returned. Honestly, we didn't need to do a thing except show up and have a lot of fun. Communication, professionalism, positive attitudes, and attention to detail are major strengths. Additionally, Kaelyn and her team are true advocates for the bride and groom in every situation. I give LexEffect the highest recommendation possible.

the DAY of the wedding (June 3), and after being paid in full (and also tipped), Kaelyn just went missing; she never showed up, called, texted, or communicated in ANY way whatsoever until I contacted her approx 3 weeks after the wedding! As you can imagine, there were multiple mishaps; starting with the ceremony, when my husband had to cue the bridesmaids, grandparents, flower girl, etc. down the aisle. Following the ceremony, as GUESTS were carrying chairs to the reception (which was a service paid for and included in Kaelyn's contract price), I inquired a representative (that she sent in her absence) about Kaelyn's whereabouts and was simply told that "she had an emergency." We had a cocktail hour planned; however in her absence, there was no one available to direct guests where to go. Per Kaelyn's cad table set up plan, there were to be separate tables for gifts & guest sign in. Evidently her helpers did not have access to that information either. Approximately 2 hours into a 3 hour reception, I noticed that the guest book was covered with gifts. I took it upon myself to move gifts so that guests could actually sign in. As a result, approximately 20 of 165 guests were able to find and sign well wishes. I was also told verbally (and this item is also listed on the contract) that they would be responsible for getting leftovers to us. Again, that never happened. Lex Effect was responsible for getting all props back to us. My daughter used the engraved cake knife from my own wedding over 32 years ago. And it too, seems to have vanished. Approx. 3 weeks later, via social media, we found out what the real "emergency" was. When confronted about this, she continued to be dishonest. For these reasons, I would never recommend her services:(

From there any wish we had was granted--they have an amazing artist that wrote on chalkboards for us for engagement photos & our wedding, communicated and set up all arrivals and set-up for the big day and literally handled EVERY detail, a MUST for an OCD bride! Everything went smoothly and no detail was left untouched! They also took care of a bunch of additional smaller errands such as returning the cake stand and transporting flowers to a different venue for our Sunday brunch! She helped with communicating with all the other vendors and created a timeline for the weekend. I forgot to mention, I had a second ceremony on the 15th, both events had over 200 people in attendance. I did not have to deal with any details at all the week of my wedding, and I enjoyed spending time with my fiance, friends and family. 100% would recommend her to anyone!

It was easily the best expense for my event- I didn't worry about dealing with vendors, linens, setting up the day of the wedding, securing and executing the timeline, or securing staff and waiters. Christy even went above and beyond by going out to get simple syrup and oranges so that I could have an old-fashioned at the reception (those ingredients completely slipped my mind...). She was very organized, professional, and on top of everything I needed to make sure the day ran smoothly. Her services were truly essential to my wedding, and I don't know how I could have done it without her and her team. I honestly feel it was the best money I spent on the whole thing.

rdinator--I'm very simple and very cheap--but I'm now pushing LexEffect (and Christy) on everyone I know. She answered SO many of my questions and addressed all of my concerns during my 4 month planning periods, and went out of her way to look up information that could possibly help me--thank goodness, because I didn't know what I was doing. She made the rehearsal and actual wedding flow smoothly (even helping save our gifts and decor from a freak rainstorm) but most of all was my go-to person so I didn't have to panic about anything. Also suggested nearly all of the vendors I ended up using, and helped me save a lot of money with recommendations and good advice. Christy was absolutely essential, thank you a million times over.
