We could not recommend Liam more highly as a photographer for wedding and/or engagement photos, or for any other special occasion. We loved Liam's creative and artistic photographic style, and his final wedding album absolutely blew us away. He and his 2nd photographer captured so many little moments and glances in their photos of our ceremony and reception. We know these photos will help us hold onto memories of the day for the rest of our lives. Beyond the photos themselves, Liam was also an absolute pleasure to work with, he made us feel comfortable during each shoot and especially through the course of our busy wedding day. We also really felt that he was looking out for us, ensuring that we would have a collection of treasured photos but without interfering with our other wedding day priorities.

We worked with Liam for our small family wedding in Washington Park in Denver. Everything about our experience with Liam was wonderful. He checked in leading up to our wedding to make sure that all the details were covered and remembered all of the small things that we had discussed. On the day of our wedding, he seamlessly wove into the day, put us all at ease, and made sure that we had all of the pictures that we hoped for (and more)! He was also really good at keeping everyone focused and engaged in the process. We really appreciated Liam's experience with small weddings, creativity, and professionalism. We could not have asked for a better photographer! It was very important to my husband and I to find someone we trusted and felt at ease with. We wanted traditional wedding photos as well as artistic expression that reflected both our personalities, as well as the beautiful Colorado nature around us. All of our guests at our wedding raved about Liam during our wedding as well as how beautiful the photos turned out once we received them. We trusted Liam with ALL the things and he definitely exceeded our expectations. Liam was the best decision we made regarding our wedding!

Liam is absolutely amazing! He did the photography for our wedding in October of this year, we had a micro wedding, under 35 people, and Liam was able to capture every scene and aspect of it. The emotion, The partying, The lighting, everything was on point. I highly suggest liam for both your engagement photos and your wedding! (He’s also got some good dance moves)

I wish I could give Liam a 50 star review! Liam was our photographer for our wedding in July 2023, and he also took our engagement photos. My husband and I were extremely impressed with not only Liam's photos from our big day, but also his professionalism and vision. Liam was able to capture our love perfectly, as well as our love of the outdoors and landscapes. We were especially surprised to receive 10 polaroid style photos printed out on the day of our wedding for us to enjoy! He captured so many unique details and intimate moments from our wedding day. We even received our sneak peek photos within a day after our wedding. Liam has been such a pleasure to work with; he is incredibly professional, is excellent at communication, and captured our day perfectly. We are so glad we picked Tartan Trews for our wedding photography!

Tartan Trews was amazing!! Liam was so great to work with and provided amazing photos for both our engagement and wedding day. He was always punctual, and communicated with us throughout the whole process. He was really the only part of the day that I didn't worry about! We had a bit of an unconventional timeline and he made it work and captured great moments that I wouldn't have thought about. 100% recommend Liam for wedding photos.

Photography was one of the only things I was super picky about for my wedding and I could not have asked for a better photographer! I picked Tartan Trews because after looking through portfolios and Instagram, I fell in love with Liam's creative style and specifically requested he take creative freedom in our pictures. Liam was amazing to work with through the whole process and even gave me a little bit of advice outside of just photography. We got our sneak peak photos back in less than 12 hours from when he left the wedding got the rest of our photos back in less than 3 weeks. He also offered to do a few getting ready pictures at no extra charge to make sure the wedding party was comfortable in front of the camera, which was just so incredibly kind. Overall, Liam was outstanding to work with and I will be recommending him to all of my friends when they are getting married.

Liam was fantastic throughout the whole process! Worked with us on payments and he is a freaking magician with a camera! At one point he was taking pictures with both hands simultaneously, surprised both me and my hubby! Just received my photos from him as well and they are absolutely stunning and beautiful ❤️ if I went back and redid planning everything I would definitely rehire him! Worth every penny and then some in my opinion. He directed some photos/poses but let us be natural and let things flow organically in those poses. He also sent us a list to fill out of photos and photo groupings we wanted to have. He's also very friendly, a lot of people at the wedding talked with him and some joked around. Overall I would definitely suggest hiring him as your wedding photographer he is simply amazing with his cameras! He also is very good at communicating before and during our event. We absolutely loved him and his photos! ❤️❤️

Liam was amazing! He was at the venue before we even arrived and was ready to begin as we walked in. He fit right in with our group and had a magical way of getting the best pictures and you didn't even realize he is pointing a camera at you. We had rain the day of the wedding and I was so sad that we wouldn't have all the beautiful outdoor shots, somehow Liam made those shots happen, and they were gorgeous! We couldn't have chosen a better photographer. Thank you Liam!

Our photos are absolutely stunning! Liam is an excellent artist and such a positive and professional person to work with. I had multiple family members and members of the wedding party approach me after the event to share how fun it was to take photos with Liam. He keeps things light and fun, and gets through all the shots without needing to dominate the event. Liam has an eye for different kinds of lighting and a playful creativity that came out in his use of rainbows and the funny pictures he caught along the way (the hole in my brother's sock). He also made sure to coach us through getting the photos our family will treasure and hang on the wall for years.

I can't even begin to describe how thrilled we were with Tartan Trews! We knew from our initial meeting with Liam that we wanted to use him for our wedding photographer. He was always extremely professional, punctual, easy to communicate with and just a joy to work with. Liam was amazing, kind, thoughtful, and his pictures are stunning!! He did a great job choosing the locations for photos where we got ready and at the venue. I recently broke my leg and was on crutches for our wedding. Liam worked with me so that I wouldn't have to move around as much. He set up beautiful group photos, artistic photos of us as a couple, and captured the joy of our guests through fun candids. He seemed to be everywhere at once yet was subtle and it never felt like he was in the way. We received our photos back really quickly and when we posted some on Facebook a friend commented, "Whatever you are paying Liam, it isn't enough. These are beautiful." We feel the same way and are so happy with all our photos.

Liam was an amazing photographer; not only was he professional, he had such a welcoming and kind personality that really added to our wedding day. He knew when to get the best shots, and we appreciated him finding fun and artistic ways to get special photos. He also was super patient and knew how to be helpful so we could focus on just enjoying time with our guests. At the end of the reception, he gave us a little surprise to send us off with (I won’t ruin the surprise because it was super awesome) and we greatly appreciated that extra touch. And, the best part- the photos turned out INCREDIBLE and he had them back to us in a week!

I would strongly encourage you to take a look at Tartan Trew’s work because Liam's photography skills speak for themselves, and I want to speak to the things that are just as important but not shown in a photograph. Prior to your big day or photoshoot, you will notice that this man is organized. He has streamlined platforms, he responds lightning fast, and he confirms each step of the way. You will never have to track this man down or worry. Other important details about how he operates: He shows up early, has a clear plan with guidelines prior to the big day, like making sure he knows family member names, is aware of any family drama to avoid, and overall event plans. For his work, aside from doing a great job, you should know he takes classic and creative shots. He will listen to what you want for photos, and he will incorporate your style into the shoot/event, all while seizing creative opportunities to deliver unique, one-of-a-kind shots. When it comes to photoshoots and how he conducts himself, he has a friendly attitude to put anyone at ease, he's well-mannered, and polite. It’s the perfect balance because he’s approachable yet unintrusive, delivering priceless candid shots while kindly letting you know if certain poses aren’t flattering. The biggest bonus for our wedding pictures was that my husband and I had a 3-hour elopement and Liam delivered as many photos as I would have expected from a 6-8 hour wedding. In addition to the above, he delivers photos in a timely manner (half of time of some wedding photographers). We are so glad we hired him for our wedding, and we'd hire him again in a heartbeat. Liam, watch out! When we get a dog we're calling you for family photos.

We can't say enough good things about Liam! He was amazing!! He was so easy to work with and captured the perfect set of photos from our wedding. Liam was amazing to work with! We had a 2020 wedding and were very disappointed in our photos. Because we rescheduled our reception to 2021, we figured we could try to redo all of the photos we missed (first kiss, first look, etc). Liam knocked it out of the park! He got all the shots we missed, and more. He had such a creative eye and was very accommodating to our very non-traditional requests. I cannot say enough great things about him and his photos. Highly recommend!

Liam is easy going, very personable and provided beautiful wedding photos in a very timely manner. Even through our wedding jitters, he helped us feel comfortable taking photos, coached us through poses and helped us to have fun! He was professional, energetic and passionate about photographing our special moments - both posed and natural, un-posed moments (not always easy to catch) and provided a good mix of posed, natural and creative photographs. Our guests also had nothing but positive things to say about Liam and their interactions with him. Liam exceeded our expectations and we love how our wedding photos turned out! We highly recommend!

We have had Liam do multiple shoots - wedding, family photos, product photos for our side hustle...he is always exceptional with his photography work, as well as with his professional demeanor (on time, communicative, prepared, friendly). We had the best experience and were blown away with Liam and this was only our engagement shoot. He was very professional but laid back making us very comfortable and able to be ourselves which he captured perfectly. He worked well with our toddler which we know can be very difficult and even had the best advice with difficult situations. My fiance and I had never done anything like this before and Liam made the best coach in helping us figure out what to do. We are beyond excited to have him at our wedding!! Thank you so much!!

Liam was a joy to work with from the beginning! My husband and I were from out of state so he set up a zoom call to get to know us and to discuss our ideas for the big day. He was great about listening to our thoughts, but also gave some suggestions too. It's always nice to get some advice from someone who goes to weddings so often. Communication leading up to the wedding was easy and he was always friendly and prompt with his replies. On the day of, he showed with a smile and ready to help capture our big day! He was so good about making us feel comfortable, which is so helpful when some people aren't as relaxed around the camera. He really allowed my husband and I to enjoy and soak in each moment as he captured it quietly. The pictures turned out so natural because he tried not too stage us too much. On a personal level, Liam is a wonderful man! So easy going and friendly. Our family and friends all commented on how fun he was to have around. I would definitely suggest Tartan Trews to anyone who is need of a photographer.

Liam shot out January wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. He was so easy to work with and got amazing photos throughout the day. When I asked for certain pictures he was more than happy to get them and made them look great! He got us a sneak peek of our photos within 2 days and all of our pictures faster than we expected! After looking through all the photos they were phenomenal, especially some shots he got outside at night in the snow! I couldn't imagine having worked with a more creative, professional, amazing photographer! Thanks!

It is so hard to write a review because I can not put into words how incredible Liam’s work and personality was! He truly outdid himself! Liam was so welcoming when we first meet him to talk about what we wanted for our big day. Also he went out of his way to meet us in Jersey! The day of the wedding he really caught all the great moments on camera! I don’t know how he did it because we picked such a rough time of year to get the best photos since it gets dark so quickly the night time photos he did for us are out of this world I tell you! Liam was also so nice to give me a couple preview images before the holidays to show my family. Everyone I have shown has said how amazing the photos are. Thank you so much Liam for doing unbelievable work! I will recommend anyone to him!

There are not enough wonderful things I can say about Liam. Not only is he an amazing person with a kind, warming, welcome and humorous spirit (like an old friend!), but professionally he is simply remarkable at his craft. He took the time to genuinely listen to what my husband and I were looking for, the kind of couple we are, etc. and the photos turned. out. AMAZING. Just stunning. He managed to wrangle our crazy families, capture moments that I didn’t even know he was (part ninja?), catch the lighting in the woods, and somehow made myself, a horribly un-photogenic person, look fantastic. You are lucky if you are able to snag Liam to take photos of your beloved event, the memories and the photos will speak for themselves. I will recommend him to everyone I know with zero hesitation. Liam is an excellent photographer and made both me and my wife feel so comfortable! (We typically hate being photographed.) The photos are just beautiful! All correspondence with Liam was so easy and he was very flexible with our crazy schedules. I would recommend him to anyone looking for both amazing pictures as well as a great person taking them!

There is not enough space here for all the positive things I have to say about Liam and his abilities as a photographer. Not only does he have an amazing eye for detail and a beautiful natural style, but he completely immerses himself in his surroundings when he is working, which allows him to capture moments that we, as the bride and groom, might have otherwise missed (just a couple of examples from our wedding- he got a beautiful photo of my aunt and my mom - who had not spoken in five years- embracing each other, as well as a heartfelt moment of my husband's grandparents, who couldn't make it to due to their health, being FaceTimed into the celebration. Also, he got some amazing and emotional time lapse shots of my husband watching me walk down the aisle). Liam is a true talent and as an added bonus, he happens to be a wonderful person to work with. He is laid back and never "salesy" and is just an all around great guy. I cannot recommend his services enough and I absolutely mean it when I say that hiring Liam to photograph the day was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made when it comes to hosting any event, wedding or otherwise. Liam is the best. My husband and I wish we could give six stars. While we were doing some research on choosing the right photographer for our engagement and wedding, we accidentally stumbled upon Liam's website and his portfolios. The best adjectives to describe his photos are: genuine, tender, and candid. His photos are wonderful and all of them carry a note of tenderness, while perfectly capturing the happiness of the day. As my husband and I were going over the photos we received from Liam, we were really impressed with how Liam captured all those small details of the decorations, subtle facial expressions, and body movements of people at the celebration. Aside from the photos, Liam is very calm, relaxed, and easy to communicate with. Also, he is a great listener. When we first met up with Liam, we felt as if we were old friends that had known each other for a long time, and immediately felt comfortable that he was going to be our photographer. Our first impression turned out to be 100% accurate. We had so much fun getting our pictures taken. Also, his calm and relaxed presence helped us a lot on our big day when things were hectic. Liam did a fantastic job documenting our wedding! While planning our Philly-area wedding from 400 miles away in NC, we stumbled across Liam's stuff on the internet and immediately were drawn to his natural, candid style. Aside from a brief Facetime session, we didn't get to meet Liam until our wedding day. From the moment he arrived, I could tell we had made the right choice in hiring him. He was very calm, relaxed, and adapted well to our casual and somewhat non-traditional wedding. A number of our guests remarked that they really enjoyed interacting with him during the event. We got our photos back earlier than we expected and they are beautiful and exactly the style we were hoping for! Would absolutely recommend Liam to anyone, especially easy-going couples who don't like doing too many awkward forced poses.

I can not recommend Liam enough. He was so accommodating when we had to shift our wedding plans due to my father-in-law's terminal illness. He not only make sure he was available when we moved our wedding day earlier, but he also let us change plans the day of our wedding so we could get some pictures with my father-in-law at the hospital. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was a calming presence on such a busy day. He is creative in his photo compositions and has a beautifully natural photography style. He doesn't rely on photoshop or digital visual effects to make the pictures look good, they just do.

Liam may be new to the wedding world, but clearly not new to photography! We did an awesome engagement session with him and he made us feel at ease the entire time...he is easy to work with, lots of fun, and a great person... not to mention the amazing photographs!
