My wife posted a review from our wedding anniversary on 11/24. The review was flagged by this owner and not removed after review. Sad to see that it was unfortunately removed a yea...
r later unfortunately, so I’m reposting my review in hopes of saving someone………….
We had a wonderful and beautiful wedding, and to be honest, I could not have cared less about the flowers. However, I have a strong disdain for Liars and Thieves. We had our wedding at Glass Hill (amazing venue/team, 5-stars) and met this florist at an event prior to the wedding. Shortly after the event, we put our trust in this florist to provide floral arrangements for our wedding. We were sent beautiful inspiration photos and were sold. We had a relatively small wedding and were quoted a reasonable price. My wife and I paid the bill believing the end product would resemble the inspiration photos - We were wrong. The bouquet was hideous and didn’t resemble what was quoted. I could have thrown together grocery store flowers and dandelions from my yard and it would’ve looked roughly the same as what was provided. The florist gave us the runaround about how the flowers in the inspiration picture weren’t available this time of year and they used a very expensive type of flower to make up for this. There was 1 of these “very expensive flowers” in the bouquet. How does a florist not know what flowers are available during peak wedding season? This was the first sign that we hired a lazy and unintelligent florist. Now let’s talk about how my wife and I were robbed - We were quoted approximately $400 for table pieces. Based on the inspiration pictures, I was okay with spending $400 dollars for the table flowers. What I’m not okay with is spending $400 on twigs and leaves which is exactly what we received. I could have spent $20 at the dollar store, or used grass/leaves from my yard to make these table arrangements. After the wedding, the florists’ explanation for these faults was they went over budget. Had this been communicated to us before the wedding we would have happily paid the extra money to get what was originally quoted. A business owners inability to accurately quote a job should not be the customer’s problem, but in this case, it was. Our wedding was 11/16/24 and the florist was notified of the issues within a day or two after the wedding. After a few emails, the florist said she would refund us $300 the first week of January if we agreed to not post a review. We agreed, but as of mid-February we had still not received our refund. When questioned, the florist said she did not believe it was “fundamentally correct” to refund us $300 for inadequate work but claimed the payment was sent anyways. We asked for a confirmation code or screenshot of the payment and did not receive a response. I no longer care about the $300 refund. It’s more important for other people to know who they are dealing with so I asked my wife to post her review. Surprise, Surprise - the florist contacted my wife the day after her review was posted and said she was having “issues” with the payment but figured it out and could refund us if my wife deleted the review. The review was reported and is not currently viewable. To the Florist - I know you’re reading and reporting this review. It seems as if you care about your presentation on the internet more than the product you provide. Good Luck.
