Billiam, Magic Cathy, Ivon, and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make our wedding the most special weekend of our lives. Billiam and his team were kind, flexible and attentive to everyone’s needs throughout the weekend. Billiam’s the type of person to come up with a solution to every problem and was an absolute delight to work with. I had multiple people come up to me saying this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. I couldn’t recommend him, his team, and LVF enough if I tried.
We recently hosted a wedding at LVF. I knew that Billiam, Magic Cathy, Ivon and the team were brilliant, creative, miracle workers, but honestly, I had no idea it would be this amazing!!! Many guests shared that this was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. One sent me this: “I keep thinking back to so many magical moments, knowing that magical moments don’t just magically happen. I will never forget this one - Wow! Thank you again for including us in this fairytale!”
Billiam and his team are truly creative geniuses. They love what they do and it shows. I could go on and on for days about the many details and all the love put into this wedding that made it look and feel like it came out of the movies…but one thing that stands out as meaningful to me is that they care so deeply about each wedding, each guest and each staff member - they take care of them all like family. As someone who has led teams and coached high performing organizations - this is something you can’t fake and it matters. If you are looking for a cookie cutter wedding, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for magic - this it it! I will be forever grateful to Billiam and his team for memories that will last a lifetime and the chance to build to friendships new and old.
The owner is a liar!!!! He promised us our deposit back after we concluded that the venue was too small for our needs. He gave us back $2k of the deposit and then ghosted us. Every time we spoke to him there was another excuse. Do NOT do business with him- totally untrustworthy!!!
A beautiful space but unfortunately we cannot recommend LVF as a wedding venue because the owner/sole point of contact Billiam was extremely unreliable and difficult throughout. We had semi-weekly calls where he often made promises he would entirely forget about by the next call. The first sign should have been when we contacted potential caterers and two told us they refused to work at LVF after past bad experiences.
Just a few examples of the biggest issues: at 10:30am the day of the wedding he texted that he had decided to change the ceremony location due to weather even though he told us the night before that we could decide at 11:30. He also picked a different indoor location than the one we had discussed which would create significant logistical issues for the reception. Billiam then refused to pick up the phone, sent all our calls immediately to voicemail, and did not respond to texts until members of the wedding party physically found him and asked him to change to a different indoor location. This was extremely stressful to deal with the morning of the wedding while I was getting hair and makeup done.
Billiam promised he had two chuppahs (a ceremonial structure necessary for Jewish weddings) and he even sent pictures. On the day of the wedding, it turned out that was a lie and he instead built a shaky arch which was not religiously compliant but it was too late to change.
At some point Billiam's stove was repossessed due to what he claimed was a misunderstanding. After several weeks, he purchased a worse stove but assured us in writing he would rent a proper convection oven for our wedding. Even on the morning of the wedding, he reassured us. That was a lie and our caterer had to hire extra (expensive) kitchen staff to compensate.
Because he was the only point of contact, when Billiam fell ill after our wedding, it meant he took an extra month (and a ton of follow up) past the contractually-agreed deadline for us to receive our deposit back.
Buyer beware - there are negative reviews online about the owner’s erratic behavior, and they are true, even if some people had great experiences. Consider seriously if your wedding is the time to take the risk.
If you want unpredictability and untruths, this is the place for you.
My fiancé and I were excited to get married at Liberty View Farm, and had prepared to make a deposit and sign the contract. Given the all-inclusive nature and high cost of the venue, we wanted to ensure we had our caterer lined up, as the two biggest pieces of the wedding, before we committed. This took a few weeks, but we kept in frequent contact with Billiam, the proprietor, to ensure our date was penciled in and secure.
He repeatedly assured us that he was keeping the date for us, both orally and in writing, and repeatedly reassured us not to “stress.” He said that we had a deal.
A few days prior to our visit to make the deposit and sign the contract, we had questions for him - and he completely ghosted us. He refused to respond to our communications, and then unceremoniously let us know that our spot had been taken. No warning, no conversation. We pleaded with him - but nope, he coldly let us know that he had leveraged our agreed upon price to get higher bids from other couples, because he had just created an instagram that was getting traction. We were panicked and desperate - and he let us know there was another option - a golf course that he has some ownership stake of. Despite now understanding how untrustworthy he is, we were seriously considering it, and asked some questions to see if we could make it work. Once again, he refused to answer us.
And then - when we had decided we had to move on and find another venue - he decided to use the October 7th massacre of Jews in Israel against us (we are Jewish and had previous conversations about our background). Unsolicited, he texted to let us know that given the atrocities, he would cease planning celebrations at this time - and would not be communicating with us. Talk about adding insult to injury. And this is not the first online review from a Jewish person he’s ghosted. If you move forward with him, he will most certainly try to explain these serious red flags away, but is that the kind of person you want to work with?
I do not even know where to begin in expressing my gratitude for Billiam and his entire team. From start to finish we had a stress free and dream experience. Billiam stayed in constant contact with us throughout the process and provided us with his most trusted vendors.
Friday we had the most magical, fairytale welcome dinner. When I walked in and saw the lights spread over the trees and gorgeous flowers set up my eyes filled with tears at the creativity and thoughtfulness of Biliam and his team. It is hard to even describe how beautiful and romantic it was. Our guests cozied up by fire pits and ate under the stars. Everyone told us it was one of the most beautiful nights they had ever been apart of.
Saturday we were nervous about the rainy forecast. When we saw the backup plan, we shouldn't have worried at all. The team converted the tent into an intimate ceremony and escorted our guests via umbrella to their seats. I know it was a lot of work behind the scenes but for us, it was seamless. There are not enough words to describe how beautiful it was.
Billiam and Cathy always made sure we were well fed and truly took time to experience our wedding. We were a bride and groom who got to enjoy their wedding as much as our guest.
Anything we needed was handled with ease by Billiam and Magic Cathy. They truly make magic happen! Their support and care with our wedding made our entire experience so enjoyable. I know other brides often felt like they couldn't reach their venue, but I never experienced that feeling. Billiam was constantly available to us to answer our nervous questions, provide advice and over that time became a dear friend.
My husband and I will truly miss working with this team. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a beautiful, intimate wedding that your guests will never forget. "Best wedding ever!" was a near constant refrain.
We were absolutely overwhelmed by the exquisite beauty of this lovely little farm! Liberty View is divine. Billiam and his team are farmers, caterers, curators, and all around inspired, generous , creative people. They made our daughter and son-in-law’s Jewish and Hindu weekend wedding celebration come off so gracefully- “spectacular” was the common refrain of our guests. We are so grateful for the lifetime worth of beautiful memories made at Liberty View Farm!!
Liberty view Farm is Amazing!!! We got married there on June 12th 2021, and six weeks later our guests are still raving about how amazing the wedding was. The farm is absolutely beautiful and guest after guest told us how unique it was and how great it was to be at a different type of wedding that was not a “wedding factory,” venue. The staff were the nicest people in the world, and could not have been more kind. Billiam Van Rostenberg, the owner of the farm worked with us every step of the way to ensure our wedding was everything we could have hoped for. Billiam and “Magic Kathy,” were so understanding, and always worked with us to solve any issue that came up, and planning a wedding during COVID, there were a lot of them. Billiam and Magic Kathy helped us work with finding anything we needed for the wedding from food that we wanted, floral arrangements, and helping us figure out lodging options for our guests. They are special people, we feel lucky to not have only worked with them, but to now also call them friends. This is a truly special place and I cannot speak enough about how lucky we feel to have gotten to married there.
I don’t often leave reviews BEFORE a service is completed but what we have experienced thus far is totally worth sharing with all of you—cloud 9 doesn’t even begin to explain it. Wedding planning, as most of us know, can quickly become overwhelming. It isn’t always easy to find venues that can meet ALL if not MOST of our standards.
However, we happened to stumble upon Liberty View Farm in our search for the perfect, elegant yet rustic venue that was able to check off all of our ‘must-haves’. While searching and driving all over within an hour range from us, we had found this gem just about 2 miles from our home. From my very first phone call to Billiam, I knew we had found something special. But once we stepped foot on his property and had finally met in person, we instantly felt the magic. No joke, I kept glancing over at my fiancé and mouthing “this is it, let’s sign the contract”..meanwhile, we had only been there 5 minutes.
Billiam has a way about him. He is open, honest, inviting, passionate, energetic, and caring. He absolutely LOVES his property and takes great pride in what he does, and it radiates from his every word. He takes great care in matching the couples to his farm, making sure that it is indeed a perfect fit for both parties involved. He is 100% invested in making this not just a party, but a weekend long celebration that will be forever remembered. The property is gorgeous and unique and what Billiam offers is unbeatable. From the handmade farm tables, to the rustic and vintage decor, to the flexibility, local accommodations, and our WEEKLY phone calls (yes, we speak at minimum, once per week to catch up and see where we are at) — we are completely satisfied! We feel blessed, CALMER, and sooo excited to have our wedding there October 19th, 2019! We will certainly share our final experience with all of you, but I am confident in knowing that it will be the best weekend of our lives.
Absolutely incredible. Billiam, Rene, and his whole staff made my wedding a dream come true. Because of their tireless planning, and work the weekend of, my three day wedding was seamless! The farm is absolutely beautiful- the grass, the trees, the bees, the goats!! The farm house felt like home for the bridal party, and Billiam does such a fantastic job making everyone feel welcome. I cannot rave about this farm enough!
My husband and I were just married at Liberty View Farm and had the most wonderful wedding weekend.
To the eager brides, believe me, I know it's tough to find the right venue! LVF owner, Billiam, his husband, Rene, and his team are wonderful people. We became so close over the year of wedding planning that I actually felt like I was getting married on my family's farm. Billiam and his team care tremendously about their farm--which you can easily see by just stepping on the property. From the farmhouse to every inch of the orchard, LVF is magical.
While LVF is a wedding venue, please keep in mind that it is a working farm first. They have acres of apple orchards, turkeys, chickens, a bee apiary, goats, and a beautiful vegetable garden. We LOVED that LVF is a working farm and it was a huge part of why we chose to be married there.
LVF is not pre-fab in any way. Each wedding held at LVF is completely and totally unique. If you are looking for a venue that can send you pre-set package options, then LVF may not the right venue for you. But if you want to get married in the country, in a relaxed and breathtaking setting, hosted by wonderful owners and surrounded by warm loving people---then Liberty View Farm will no disappoint :) We had high expectations and all were surpassed. Our wedding weekend was truly magical, special and unique to us.
Billiam and Rene made hundreds of special efforts to make our daughter's wedding perfect. The Farm is gorgeous, well maintained, and emanates health and good feelings. Billiam orchestrated the perfect sequence of events and coordinated with his team to create a beautiful, warm, inviting, colorful and welcoming weekend. As gorgeous as everything looked, Billiam constantly reminded all of us in the wedding party to stop, breathe and live in the moment. Liberty Veiw Farm was one of the stars of the wedding. We will return to visit Billiam and Rene and LVF just because.
Billiam and Rene are amazing, this is the wedding to remember. The most beautiful surroundings, people can camp in the orchards, dance in the barn, marry under a tree. A dream.
