Life and Art Photography

about when and where to get good shots and provided wonderful direction. She pulled us out of our reception to grab a few shots in the snow, which are some off favorite photos of all time!! It was such a relief to work with someone with the professionalism and skill as Laura. Can’t recommend her enough!

s impossible not to leave with the biggest smile and a huge boost of confidence. Laura's photos are absolutely beautiful, her kindness and talent shines through her pictures! I've done a boudoir and an elopement shoot with Laura. If you book with her you will NOT be disappointed.

across a photo taken at the wedding venue we just booked - and it was lovely so we were excited to work with her. Laura is a wonderful person. As we prepared for our wedding, she was curious to hear our story and aspects of our day that we were most excited about (which in turned, she made sure to capture on the day of). In addition, she helped us prepare on aspects that we hadn't even thought of yet. On the day of, she was incredibly engaged and, looking at the photos now, paid attention to such detail. But it seemed so effortless in the moment. I share that because it didn't feel stressful. She was really able to capture a moment without feeling like we had to pause, overthink or even miss out on the real moment. That day it was supposed to rain and we were hoping for an outside ceremony. She is actually the one that shared the good news that we were in the clear! The attention to detail like that was such a stress reliever for us. She engaged so well with our guests and was a great encourager! At the end of her long day, it had started to rain and she asked if we could do a few last moments outside. Those photos are a few of our favorites. All of the photographs are priceless. We look forward to working with Laura again and recommend her to others! Thank you, Laura! We appreciate everything you did to capture our wedding and memories for us. We are so grateful!

nning that our photographer was likely our most important vendor. When we found Laura and met with her for coffee we knew immediately that we needed to have her shoot our wedding. We did both our engagement shoot and our wedding with her. Laura is without a doubt the most patient person to work with. We were shooting our engagement up at a family cabin in remote northern Minnesota which we had to reschedule 3 or 4 times due to weather and other conflicts. Never once did Laura make us feel like we were being tough to work with. We finally got a window of weather to do the shoot and not only did she drive 4 hours north to meet us, she stayed out until 1 in the morning shooting with us because we were having such a good time. One of the things we really appreciated about Laura was the fact that between day and night shots, we had dinner and a beer with her around the fire and made smores. She felt like someone we were not only working with, but who we could be friends with. That put us so at ease to just be ourselves around her, and our pictures feel so much more natural for it. No stiff poses or grim looks, just genuine smiles and laughter while having a good time. As for the wedding itself we had both Laura and a second shooter there. They were incredibly professional and easy to work with. They helped keep things moving when they needed to be moving, but also captured the little moments in the down times as well. Laura does such a good job capturing people in candid situations where they don’t even notice they’re being photographed. We couldn’t believe how many pictures she was able to get in such a short amount of time. She had everything processed for us in less than 8 weeks even with the holidays in there; which was no small feat given the cut down album was over 1100 pictures. We’ve gotten nothing but rave reviews from all of our family and friends who have been commenting on how good all of our pictures look. We couldn’t be happier with the results. If you’re looking for a photographer reach out to Laura, you seriously won’t regret it. We look forward to working with her again in the future.

BLE. There are so many candid moments that feel like the "real us" (but a little more beautiful, haha!) She also took time to set up a few seriously EPIC photos designed just for us. The ones she took of us under the stars are honestly the BEST wedding photos I have ever seen from any photographer ever. But it was more than the photos. During the whole planning process, Laura was there with recommendations and advice every step of the way, and every recommendation was gold. She cared so much about us being present and joying our wedding day that she actually planned the timeline of the day for us to make sure we didn't have to worry about planning the right amount of time for anything. And it was perfect! GO HIRE LAURA RIGHT NOW. It will be the best decision you make for your wedding, I promise!!

and wedding photos all thanks to the work she puts into them. Laura is super personable and easy to get along with. She made sure we got all the shots we wanted on our wedding day plus extra! I 100% recommend her to everyone!

unlimited photos and she is SO ORGANIZED and responsive. As an anxious bride who loves having a plan, this was exactly what I wanted from a photographer. She worked with our wedding coordinator to figure out a photography schedule and accommodated all the photos we wanted for the day. Laura starts the day with getting-ready photos with the bride and she (and her assistant) leaves an hour after the first dance so you have time to get action shots from party time.

recommend her!!!

r meeting and sharing her tips/advice. Laura made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and just overall enjoy our day as she made everything easy and seamless. I would definitely recommend Laura's services for your wedding or life event!

o much to your day by making the photos really fun and easy. I have followed her work on Instagram for years so she was the no brainer, easiest choice of the entire day! And she didn’t disappoint.

dding (including doing portrait shots of families as a part of the festivities) and was quick to add her expertise at moments when we were uncertain. She was prompt and thorough in her communication, scheduling and attending to details. We enjoyed working with her tremendously and would recommend her highly to other couples, individuals and families for any event!

again.

res can be, and usually is, uncomfortable and awkward. The photo shoot with Laura was relaxed, effortless, and genuinely fun. I would absolutely recommend Laura for your photo shoot, and look forward to working with her again. 5stars!

like you and not some over posed or over edited version of yourself. She is very LGBTQ+ friendly which made my wife and I feel more at home. We also had some unique lighting at our venue that we thought would cause problems with photography, but Laura was amazing and created some breathtaking photos. During the wedding and reception, she blended with the guest so you didn’t even know when you were having your photo taken so you felt more natural in the photos. If you are looking for a cool, super nice, professional, and just all around good person and photographer, go with Laura!!

ame to planning our day and answering any questions we had leading up to it. The communication from her meant everything to us, as that was a struggle with other vendors leading up to our big day. To say we are blown away by our final photos would be an understatement. Laura understood the vision for our day and DELIVERED. Starry sky photos, beautiful drone shots, the most amazing candids of the people we love, and the best photos of our doggo, we will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. I could not recommend Laura enough, connect with her immediately!

nd pose. Laura was receptive to any adjustment we had to make during the day and kept us going smoothly. If you are looking for a photographer to bring positive energy and make you feel like you are the most important people, Laura is the one!

. We 110% recommend Laura for your photography needs!!!

s a year apart. We chose Laura because we liked her photographic and artistic style. Generally, my husband doesn't like being the subject of photos, but she made it pleasant he says and taking photos with my him after our wedding at the Walker Art Center was itself memorable. The wedding reception photos she and her partner took were so fun to look at - it was like going back a second time. They captured so many moments we just didn’t see. Laura will be the first person we call when we need photos taken in the future.

nd enjoyable. Not only did she do our beautiful wedding photos, but she also did a boudoir shoot for me before the wedding. I wasn’t sure I’d have the confidence to do it but Laura was the perfect hype woman! She made me feel so comfortable and confident - it was a blast. CHOOSE LAURA! You’ll be so happy you did!

ude, and is very organized. She is truly called to be a photographer and it is shown in her high quality work!

es that we will cherish forever! Laura knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera (which is not easy for me!), and she went above and beyond in capturing every single special moment of our day! I honestly couldn’t believe how many amazing pictures we received from our engagement pictures and wedding day. Laura worked with us every step of the way, and made sure we got every photo we wanted. She is remarkably talented and I look forward to working with her again in the future if I ever make it back to MN!

table AND give you the best wedding photography service and experience possible, Laura is your girl, no question. From the moment we started communicating, I knew we were in the best hands possible; it was like we were old friends, and I trusted her completely. We had her up to the family cabin for an overnight engagement shoot, which allowed us to get comfortable in front of the camera in our favorite place (not to mention how much fun we had!), and I know that made our wedding photos that much better. For the wedding day, she helped me with far more than just the photos... I don't think I could have planned out the day without her guidance and wisdom. We did a private, family/closest friends-only ceremony, and she made everyone feel so comfortable (the group shot she took that shows every single attendee's face is something to behold!); my mom made her a birthday cake and my dad was practically adopting her as an honorary daughter by the end of the night! I was so happy to get all the "dream shots" I had on my wish list, but she and her partner snapped so many special moments I never would have thought of, or gotten to see without their incredible talent. I look through our photos anytime I'm having a rough day (2020 has packed in a lot of them), and they always bring me so much joy. Laura is incredible, I feel like I've found my "photographer-for-life", and cannot wait for the next time I get to request her incredible services. By far the best investment we made in our wedding!!

e loves what she does (and that she’s great at it!!) She made our engagement shoot and wedding day even more fun and was constantly making us laugh. And to top it off, her photos turned out absolutely STUNNING! We wholeheartedly recommend working with Life & Art Photography - it was one of the best decisions that we made.

r apart from other photographers is the fact that she offers a full day package vs choosing 6, 8, 10 hours. Oh and she does drone photography!!! We both were feeling awkward about being in front of the camera, but she made us feel relaxed and silly during our engagement shoots. Yes, we upgraded to the adventure package that allowed splitting our time up to capture different seasons and locations. So when it came time for the wedding, the camera wasn't intimidating anymore. I had a Pinterest page of ideas going, but when it came to the day of I tossed it out and said just be you and do what you do best. Our pictures couldn't have turned out better. From the timeless classic look to the fun and creativity that was put into it, Laura was the absolute best to work with.

you feel like a rockstar, and does amazing work. We are SO excited about our pictures, and have had numerous compliments. She is the best.

friends wedding that she photographed. Laura helped me so much on my wedding day and became a friend of mine. She is so amazing at what she does. You will not regret booking with her!

at communicating and is super flexible when it comes to scheduling. She has an amazing eye for photography and is so kind and funny! She made my husband and I feel comfortable while we were taking pictures, and captured our most special moments together beautifully. I will recommend her again and again to anyone who is looking for a photographer. I wish I had the option to give her more than five stars. She deserves it.

sband and I tend to be awkward when we get photos taken, but she made us feel comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Life and Art Photography !!

that you get! Highly recommend!

ble with the changes we had to make. I can't say enough about how much of a relief that was because she was so patient and great with the transitions. The photos speak for themselves and I'm utterly obsessed with them. I recommend her to anyone and everyone and I couldn't have asked for anything more!

s super easy to work with, flexible, and eased all of my nervous bride concerns. I would highly highly recommend Life and Art Photography for your wedding!
