About this vendor
Life Celebrations is about the transitions we all may experience, especially marriage, divorce, remarriage and end of life in this earthly dimension. Over the more than 50 years as an ordained pastor I've married thousands of couples, done vow renewals for hundreds, and memorial services for scores. I mention divorce because I've also done ceremonies for couples who've realized that their journey together no longer serves them....that their love for each other has changed and they want to release each other from the vows they've made. I've also served as a college chaplain and a hospice chaplain, sharing the journey of transition to the next dimension with the terminally ill. I've treasured those times with families and know that death is not the end of who we are. In addition to this information on The Knot, you should know that most of my wedding activity is chronicled on Weddingwire where I have more that 350 five star reviews. Please find me there for more information!

This officiant cancelled on us less than two months out from our wedding.
We ended up needing a new officiant fairly close to our wedding and are so lucky that we came across Brian. Our ceremony was so beautiful seriously every single person was crying. I’m pretty sure I emailed him in the midst of crazy wedding stress like “please tell me what happens during the ceremony and what I’m supposed to say” 🤣 he was so kind and helped me move through all that anxiety.
Brian was the perfect officiant for our elopement! From the start, he was incredibly kind, patient, and easy to talk to. He took the time to get to know us beforehand, asking thoughtful questions and listening closely to our story so he could craft a ceremony that truly reflected who we are as a couple.
The ceremony he delivered was heartfelt, personal, and beautifully written. It felt so genuine and intimate—exactly what we wanted for our elopement. Brian’s warmth and professionalism helped make the day even more special. We’re so grateful to have had him be a part of such an important moment in our lives. Highly recommend!
After considering a number of officiants it became clear to us there were just a few of interest and who could accommodate our 12/28 Christmas wedding! We happily chose Brian Lyke and don't have ANY regrets! He worked tirelessly via email, phone and in-person meetings to give us exactly what we wanted....a beautiful, touching ceremony filled with grace, love and humility. His charming personality, kind manner and friendly demeanor were exactly what we were looking for. His suggestions were spot on! He gently prodded us when we got off track on our timelines, as well as offered many suggestions for our personal vows since this was an area of unfamiliarity. Our ceremony was PERFECT and most deserved KUDOS to him!!!
Brian was an absolutely amazing officiant. We struggled with an officiant as most of our friends had, had someone close to them marry them, however both my husband and I wanted a professional and someone who would really share in our value in the sacrament of marriage, and Brian really understood that. After meeting Brian we were sold. He took the time to get to know us so well and really made sure to hit the points that were so important to us. He was consistently communicating with us and always professional and organized.
Brian was wonderful on the day of the wedding. So many of our guests came up to us to let us know what a wonderful officiant we had. One of my favorite moments of my wedding was when he had asked us to look out to our guests and see everyone who was here for us. I never would have taken the time to do that and with such a special moment during our ceremony and something I will cherish. I could not recommend Brian enough!
Choosing an wedding officiant is a daunting task because the officiant will either make or break the entire ceremony. I am happy to say that Brian MADE ours. He was kind enough to meet me and my partner on several occasions before the wedding so that he could get to know us and craft a ceremony that suited us personally. Although Brian is a religious/spiritual man, he was gracious enough to marry my and my husband, a couple of gay atheists! Brian has so much love and understanding in his heart, we feel extremely grateful that he shared it with us and gave us such a touching ceremony. I highly recommend him to any couple.
Brian is great at what he does. Our ceremony was beautiful and personable. We loved it.
Brian did an amazing job! He worked with our budget. And met with us multiple times to discuss the final details. He's a great speaker and really made our wedding fit together with our personalities perfectly !
he makes your wedding feel so special and unique. He takes the time to talk with you and incorpates that into you ceremony. He was great and I would definitely recommend him to everyone!
Brian Lyke was great. Well prepared and respected our wishes for a non-religious ceremony. Our guests thought he was great as well. The ceremony was not too short nor too long. Lots of memorable words with a few laughter here and there.
