Life Unstructured Photography by Patty Dover

Patty made our wedding event dreams come true and has become an ongoing, much-valued friend! She and her photography passion were introduced to us through a referral. Primarily we partnered with her remotely from our home in Dallas before our wedding in September of 2016. The very first phone call with her lasted about an hour, and while we touched on wedding photography interests and details initially we began to develop a wonderful relationship and enhanced chemistry that was magic! I remember relaying this to my (now) husband Jeff and describing the energy which she brought to our dialogue--and she brought this same comfort, passion, artistry, simplicity, and empathy in person to all of our wedding events and to the photography results. As a detail-oriented, organized groom, I asked Patty initially how my style might mix with her seemingly "unstructured" persona, and I loved how her response was not just an "oh, it will" comment; rather we explored our similarities and uniquenesses that provided comfort for the wonderful blend and balance that launched from there. Patty was collaborative, professional, super reliable and coordinated at all times. She asked and offered to participate in all of our wedding week activities starting with a civil ceremony on the lawn of an art museum and then leading over the next few days to our church rehearsal, post-rehearsal bar party, welcome party hosted by our wedding attendants, preparation fun in our hotel room on church wedding day, church ceremony, and wedding reception dinner and craziness. All of our wedding guests got to know Patty through this series of events, and we all felt like she was literally a family member and/or life-long friend. Wow! What blessings to have her talents and humanity as a part of such memorable wedding events, to have such quality and wonder from the photography she captured for such, and to have a new friend who is like family as another wonderful outcome. We couldn't have "structured" it any better way! Thank you, thank you, thank you, dear Patty!!
