the details and things we wanted were done with no problems. Rehearsal ran smoothly because he is always well prepared. We didn’t really know what to expect or even do and Cris lead us in the right direction. Super personal and wanted to make sure he got all the details right. Would highly recommend him !

y was perfect. He gave us ideas to work with for a unity element that tied our families together better than we would have ever thought to do. He added bits of humor to keep it light, but was very professional the whole time. He took care of our license following the ceremony, and because of him, we had nothing to worry about from start to finish. We were a little leary hiring our wedding officiant based off of reviews, but we could not recommend him enough. You can absolutely trust him with your wedding ceremony!

He was more than willing to make adjustments or rewrite portions of our ceremony, and it was evident it was very important to him that our ceremony was exactly what we wanted. When we couldn't decide on a reading, Cris promptly sent over several to choose from, and ensured us he had more if we didn't like those. The day of our wedding, Cris was professional, warm and funny performing our ceremony. He even snagged a picture on his phone of us getting family portraits following the ceremony, and sent it to us later that evening. So thoughtful!! He also handled everything with our marriage license, and made sure we remembered the needed documents on the big day. Even though St. Charles is no longer providing keepsake marriage licenses, he went out of his way to get one for us. He also offered to help me through the name change process, when I finally get around to it! Cris was incredibly enjoyable to work with and did a wonderful job officiating our ceremony - if you select him for your big day, you won't regret it!

coolest stories about our wedding - we had to reschedule due to COVID. Miraculously, all of our vendors were available for our rescheduled day... except for Cris. He had a rehearsal scheduled for the day of our wedding (Friday). He wanted to make it work so badly. He called the other couple, explained our situation, and gracefully asked if they’d be willing to change the time of their rehearsal so he could be at our ceremony. He did NOT have to do that! That was so kind. I have shared that story so many times, and I think it speaks volumes about Cris. He truly cares for his couples and loves his job!

The only issue we truly had is that our last name is a little difficult to say and although we checked with Cris 20 minutes before the ceremony to make sure he knew how to say it, he still mispronounced our last name from the beginning of the ceremony until about 3/4 of the way through after a groomsmen whispered to him how to say it. Other than that minor glitch, Cris was amazing to work with and I would definitely recommend him.

He took the time to ask questions and really get to know us and the details of our wedding. We were nervous before booking Cris that things wouldn't be personal with someone we had never met, but Cris took all that worry away. The first draft brought tears to my eyes and had the best quotes. We couldn't have asked for anyone or anything better. Tony and I had the perfect day. By the time we got back from our honeymoon, we could tell he was true to his word about submitting the license the first day he could because we had the official copies from the state in the mail when we got home.

During the rehearsal he was very thorough on how the day of would go. For our ceremony, we did not want something very long, however we had 2 readings and he was very flexible when we mad changes late in the game. We also read our own vows and he reviewed them to ensure we were both on the same page prior to the ceremony without changing any of the content. During the ceremony, it went perfect, not too fast or too slow, just perfect!

end! He was so flexible in working out times to meet with my now husband and I when we had some last minute conflicts and made us feel so comfortable from the second we met him. Cris wrote a beautiful ceremony for us and allowed us to make any edits that we wanted (which were minimal because it was pretty much perfect from the beginning.) He took every desire we had for our ceremony and put careful thought into it and made sure he found a way to eloquently include our daughter as well as our loved ones that passed on before us. In particular, for our wedding ceremony we wanted some humor and uniting a mixed family added in as it reflects us as a couple. He nailed it. He has many wonderful readings that incorporate love, the meaning of marriage, and all of the heartfelt ingredients needed to make a lovely ceremony. Right after our ceremony was over, my husbands cousin and aunt/uncle approached as it turns out he married them years prior! His family assumed we selected him based off of that information as they live in a surrounding state but in fact we selected him based off of meeting him and knowing he was the perfect person to marry us. Small world! Lastly, Cris was the most responsive when it came to communication. He responded to my emails, immediately, and that is a priceless commodity when working with weddings. Because of this and the many other reasons listed about, I would recommend him over and over again. I cannot thank him enough for marrying me to the man of my dreams.

Hiring him was easily the best money we spent on our wedding. He was worth the price MANY times over -- the ceremony he wrote for us was so touching, and he was enormously kind and helpful throughout the process. d he was always easy to contact and get back to us as we began discussing our personalized vows. He arrived to the rehearsal and wedding day early to make sure everything was set up and would run smoothly. Cris did a wonderful job to make sure he would walk us through the experience of the ceremony. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!!

ore. Cris said he scheduled another wedding the same day as ours and that they already requested that day. He asked us to schedule our rehearsal for Thursday, after 5 pm. We did so, and confirmed with Cris. In February, about 5 weeks prior to our wedding, I emailed Cris to re-confirm our rehearsal was set for Thursday, March 8, at 5:30 pm with the time and location. Cris confirmed via email and said he would see us then. Cris contacted me 7 days prior to our wedding and asked me to confirm the rehearsal date, time, and location. When I confirmed, he said he had another rehearsal that evening with the other couple he was marrying the same day as us, and that they were contracted first, and so we could not possibly have our rehearsal that day. Mind you, we already had our entire bridal party request off work for rehearsal on Thursday, we made a significant down payment to a restaurant for our rehearsal dinner, and we had several family members pay for hotels and rental cars for Thursday based on the previous confirmations Cris made with us. Now he was telling us there was no way we could rehearse. He suggested he refund us the money for the rehearsal fee and said he could arrive to our wedding early to answer any questions. I explained that we didn't understand how the other people were contracted first and could bump us. We also didn't think it was fair to ask us to wing it on our wedding day in front of photographers and videographers. We eventually met the Friday before, but I wouldn't consider what we did rehearsing. We didn't rehearse walking in or where the bridal party would stand. I had to rehearse with my flower girl and ring bearer after Cris left so that they wouldn't be too afraid to walk down the aisle without knowing what to do. We also lost our $1,000 dinner down-payment because we had to change dinner venues since our rehearsal was moved to another day and the original venue was not available for the re-scheduled rehearsal.
