My husband and I booked LifeStory.Film for our wedding in September. We had heard about LifeStory.Film through some friends who got their engagement photos taken by them. Rick was our main contact person, and he was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. He was quick to get back to us, answer all of our questions, and even gave us a couple of recommendations. We ended up using LifeStory.Film for photography and videography. They were comfortable taking in our ideas, and what we had in mind for photos. They were very clear on how to pose, where to stand, etc. The whole team really made us feel comfortable the entire time. We just got our photos and videos back and they look amazing!

- Had experience shooting culturally ethnic weddings;
- Takes candid photos versus too many posed photos;
- Was willing to listen and act on our ideas and was not too pushy on his/her own ideas.

During our wedding, they inconspicuously took candid pictures of us two which was great because we did not like posed pictures very much. They also worked with us when it was raining outside and quickly came up with an alternative photo shoot location. The photos turned out awesome and we and our families will cherish them for years to come.
We had an AMAZING experience using Life Story film for our wedding. Everything was captured so beautifully, our film after turned out so perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Rick and his team were amazing! Our pictures came out perfect. We wanted to take our pictures a week early so on the big day there was not any stress. We took the pictures at The San Juan Missions and they are beautiful. Rick's team was flexible and accommodating. They always did our wedding video and it was flawless. I highly recommend Life Story.

My partner and I got married in New York City. We had the true pleasure of having LifeStory.Film as our wedding photography and videography firm. We got married on the east coast because that’s where we met. There were absolutely no logistical issues – the long distance factor was truly a non-issue. Finally, I want to say that they understood the importance of privacy during our wedding, while still capturing the passion of each moment and the significance of each detail. As a bride-to-be in a large city (Los Angeles) there are so many photographers to choose from that the selection process can be truly overwhelming and (let’s be honest) not fun. After meeting with a few photographers (not impressed) and reviewing a number of portfolios (just OK) we decided to go with LifeStory.Film. I don’t know if they knew what they were in for when we choose them, but they handled us beautifully. We had the most non-traditional (food trucks and beach), ethnic-fusion (I’m Filipino, he’s Jewish), wedding you can imagine, but they rolled with all our punches and delivered total professionalism, politeness, fun, kindness and enthusiasm the entire time. The photos and video were the perfect blend of spontaneous, emotional moments and artistic, photojournalism images you’d see in a high-end glossy. In fact, our family and friends keep saying our wedding could be from a magazine or movie (we agree). We are so thankful LifeStory.Film “got” us as a couple – they were never judgy, embraced our uniqueness and shared our creative vision. They also kept us on task (as you may be able to tell, we’re a bit free spirited) and made sure the day ran as smoothly as it did.

Where do I begin? LifeStory.Film was everything we were hoping for in a wedding photographer and then some. Their skill of capturing emotion in candid photographs of specific moments was nothing short of amazing. Rick didn't just photograph the ceremony and reception; he captured the story of our special day and the beginning of our life together. We were worried that our photographs wouldn't be as stellar as those in their truly amazing portfolio, but we learned they didn’t just get lucky catching those moments, that’s what they do for each and every couple. None of the photos felt forced and they all make me smile when I look at them and remember that amazing day. Truth be told, I still look at the photos almost every day...they never get old. Looking back at the photos LifeStory.Film took is like reliving the entire day. My husband especially loves the drone footage photos and my favorite are the candid, close-ups of the reception. I think it goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyhow: we would highly recommend LifeStory.Film as your wedding photography and videography team. They are as reliable and great to work with as the quality of what they produce – worth every penny.
LifeStory.Film did a phenomenal job with our wedding photos. I happened to stumble upon the blog for LifeStory.Film while searching for a wedding photographer and was immediately stunned by the beauty of the photos I saw. I would say that their style is modern, natural, high end and leans toward photojournalism. Rick captures all of the little details and little moments during the day in a very natural, comprehensive way. During the whole planning process, everyone at LifeStory.Film was extremely organized and was in constant contact with me. Not only that, but during the planning Rick from LifeStory.Film was such a great help with other wedding related questions about transportation, venues, etc. They were obviously professionals with a ton of wedding experience and were willing to share even when it was out of the photography category. Our wedding itself was, amazing. But even more important than what they photograph+film, is how they really listen to you, get to know you, and then take all of that personal time and information and create something that is truly one-of-a-kind to you as a couple. One of the things I loved about LifeStory.Film when I found their website while searching for the perfect wedding photographer was their “story” angle. Every couple featured on their site had a story name, like “Country Wedding,” “Desolate Dream,” etc. I loved that because every couple really does have a story that digs deeper than the wedding itself. After reviewing their work, I knew LifeStory.Film were the artists I wanted to tell mine and my partner’s story. We ordered the photo and video package, which included a several hours long pre-wedding photo and video shoot at and around the campus of the university where we fell in love. It was so special and LifeStory.Film really captured our story spot-on. Our wedding photos and video were just as perfect. When we show them to people they are blown away, even if they were at the wedding! They notice things they didn’t notice that day – little nuances and special touches we had made that LifeStory.Film captured for us. When looking for a wedding videographer the thing that jumped out at me about LifeStory.Film was this sentence from one of their social media pages: “European style with American quality.” That really spoke to me because it’s exactly what my fiancé (now husband) and I were looking for. We wanted video that would be truly elegant, classy and memorable, but also functional, high-tech and easily usable on our own social media pages. LifeStory.Film definitely delivered on what they wrote. We went with the wedding video package that included a pre-wedding videographer, two videographers on the ground the day of the wedding and a drone videographer (plus lots more). The Instagram teaser of our wedding was amazing and all our friends, family and tons of strangers loved it. The edited feature film was just that – a film – about us. It was unreal and better than anything we ever expected. From start to finish, out experience with LifeStory.Film was just absolutely phenomenal. We are a “non-traditional” couple and while that may not seem terribly unusual in this day and age, you may be surprised at just how many people working in the wedding industry are not as warm and welcoming as they could be. We met with a few photographers who seemed like they would be, but we didn’t get the best vibes. When we came across Rick’s website and Instagram we were like, “Let’s give them a try.” We loved what we saw, but would we feel the love too? Yes!!!! We felt the love!!! Rick is the best. They love and value every type of love and they showcase this wide tapestry of love so beautifully and elegantly. In every interaction with them we felt valued and cherished as clients and people. Our guests loved them too. Everything they produced for us is just perfect and beautiful and we love it, but most of all we loved the experience of working with them.

Our guests loved how they even did a beautiful video of the beginning part of our wedding day to show at the reception (Same Day Edit service it’s called). It was the neatest thing ever. I can’t thank LifeStory.Film enough for capturing my most special day so beautifully and thoroughly. As much as I wanted to, getting married in my favorite place in the world – Italy – was not in the budget for our wedding. So, I decided I wanted the next best thing, a photographer whose photos could conjure up the beauty, love and emotion of Italy (where my husband Marcus and I met during study abroad). I knew I found the perfect photographer when I saw on LifeStory.Film’s website that Rick’s idol and artistic inspiration was the amazing Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini. The photos on their site were so reminiscent of his work – romantic and sultry, but earthy and genuine. That is exactly what I was searching for and Rick delivered those feelings in our wedding photos too. I could look at our photos all day long, every day – they are absolutely gorgeous and timeless. I feel like we didn’t have a wedding photographer, so to speak, but a wedding artist – our photos are truly those European inspired works of art I longed for. Thank you Rick.

Regarding our wedding photo experience with LifeStory.Film as our photographers, we can't say enough positive things. They was so easy to work with before the wedding, great to have they on the day of (unobtrusive during the intimate moments, but still catching many really wonderful shots), relaxed and professional to be around, and the pictures we received are stunning. I think what my husband and I value most about them is that they tell the true story of the day. To us, that is the most important thing about wedding photos (and all photos in general) – that they can make you feel like you are in a place or time again; reliving the moment. We didn’t want photos that were so over touched or edited or insanely posed that they didn’t truly reflect our day. We wanted to keep it real, but in a very elegant, special way and that is exactly what we received from LifeStory.Film. When it came to our wedding photography, my husband had one request: a drone. Since we were getting married at a venue on a really beautiful hilltop he really, really wanted drone photos and video footage of the event. This wasn’t really that important to me, but it was truly important to him, so we set out to find a photographer that could do both drone work and beautiful, classic and classy photos of our wedding too. You’d be surprised to learn how challenging it was to find a photographer that could do both! Thankfully, a co-worker pointed us in the direction of LifeStory.Film and we met with Rick. He was so excited and open to our idea to use drone photography along with more traditional photography too. Looking at his work, I knew he was the artist I was looking for and the unique photographer my husband sought. Truly, LifeStory.Film gave us everything we dreamed of. My husband Gabe and I chose Life.Film to photograph and video our wedding this summer in the California wine country. I have to say, we wanted the world in terms of qualities our photographer had to possess: artistic, professional, personable, prepared, authentic and totally committed to us and our day. Rick gave us all those and the moon and the stars too! I can’t say enough about Rick and Polina – they are class acts and true artists in every way. In addition to giving us the most gorgeous pre-wedding and wedding photos ever (and the most unbelievable documentary style video) they also gave us a wonderful feeling of giving back. Life.Film donates a portion of every job to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. When Gabe and I found this out, it was just the icing on the cake with Life.Film. We feel good that some of the money we put into our wedding was used to help children in need. This is something really special we didn’t find with any of the other photographers we interviewed. And, again, it was just the pinnacle of an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish with Life.Film.
I hired Rick's team to be my wedding's videographer. They were able to work with my photographer smoothly during my wedding day - great communications from Rick's team. I used their video package + drone with some customization. Rick was very patient to help us build our own package based on our needs. His work was turned around within the promised 1-2 months time frame. This is really unheard of among my friends - they typically take 6-12 months, and Rick stick to his 1-2 months! Finally, we took our comments and edit the videos for us, great customer experience throughout.
My wife and I are so happy we decided to go with Life.Film for our wedding video! I work in post production, so finding a wedding videographer that measured up to my standards was not easy, they met every expectation that I had. They had multiple cameras covering the ceremony, reception and the morning preparation. Polina and her crew were a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. Every couple is so different when it comes to planning a wedding and what their number one priority is. Since we both work in the creative fields, for my husband and I, the number one most important thing was the photographer. Let’s face it, nobody remembers the flavor of the cake and the exact songs that were played at the reception. But, the photos live on. We wanted photos that when we showed our grandchildren 50 years from now, they were still like “Wow, those are amazing.” Like works of art. Timeless. So, before I even found a dress or we selected a venue, we chose our photographer! We interviewed about a dozen. All of them had gorgeous websites and galleries, but what made Rick and Life.Film truly stand out what that they “got it.” They understood that we weren’t just looking for photos of a day or a moment in time, but photos of who we truly are as a couple – our story, our past and our future. It’s a hard concept to articulate, but when you meet an artist that understands, it’s kismet.
Choosing a wedding photographer can be extremely stressful, but when you’re a “non-traditional” couple that stress is compounded even more. When my partner Thad and I were looking for a wedding photographer for our wedding last year, it was absolutely critical to us that we find someone friendly and accepting of the LGBT community. Not only are we gay, but the majority of our friends are too. We wanted to find photographers who could make all of our guests feel comfortable (or, rather, not make anyone feel uncomfortable!). We found Life.Film through word of mouth and loved that right on their website they say they are a LGBT friendly team (word of caution: some photographers are not). Now, obviously their website alone wasn’t enough to hire them, but once we saw their work and met them in person we knew that they were just as talented as they were accepting and cool. Looking back on our day and photos, we absolutely made the right choice. Rick and Polina were an absolute joy to work with and our day was captured beautifully and comfortably. This review is long overdue! We hired Life.Film (formerly AirWedding.co) as our videographer for our special day back on October 29, 2016. From day one, Rick was a reflection of their incredibly professional team. Once I had inquired of their availability and services, Rick set up a meeting with us on the very next day. From that point on, we worked closely on ensuring our vision would be reflected in our highlight video and wedding video. As for our wedding day, the Life.Film team were punctual and extremely thorough and worked tirelessly from our pre-ceremony, ceremony, creative shoot @ Santa Monica beach, and the reception; they truly worked the entire time we had booked them.
The final products were awesome, especially thanks to the BEAUTIFUL drone work and I am proud to share our video with all our family and friends. If anything, I wished our highlight video was even longer :).

My husband and I got married on the beach in Malibu, CA this past February. At the last minute, our original photographer fell through. I struggled to find good videographers that were not only available on short notice but also affordable. I contacted Life.Film only weeks before our big day. They responded quickly and reassured us that they would be happy accommodate us. All I had to do was email our timeline about two weeks prior. Our day-of videographer was Polina, who was not only punctual but she arrived early before the ceremony even began. Recording every detail of our venue set-up before guests even arrived. Working with her was great because she is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and sincere. We also felt comfortable with the way Polina directed us throughout filming, which we really needed. A few months later we received a gorgeous box in the mail from Life.Film. with a convenient thumb drive of our wedding video inside. Life.FIlm did photography and videography for my sister Jenny’s wedding in March, 2014. Her future husband Tom was busy taking his law exam, so he relied on me to support Jenny during the whole preparation thing. Jenny and Tom had the 50s style wedding, so the photo shoot needed to be special. Jenny and I met Rick from Life.FIlm about a month before the event to discuss the photo shoot. He was very enthusiastic about the wedding style and said that he loved everything so unconventional. He suggested some ideas immediately. We liked his ardor! When my husband and I were still dating, we met Life.Film at my cousin’s wedding and were very impressed with their professionalism. So when we decided to get married, Life.Film was our first choice, of course. Besides being a very skilled and experienced photographers, they have a good personality and taste. What more is there to wish?..We contacted Life.Film and arranged for a meeting to discuss the details. Our manager Rick arrived on time, he was friendly and focused. He showed us studio's portfolio which we couldn’t take eyes off! Their photos were so live and creative! Finding a good photographer is quite a challenge. This is what I learned from the whole wedding preparation process.
We searched online for a whole month but had no luck. Some photographers didn’t seem flexible enough…others charged a fortune… Finally we got lucky!
We hired Life.FIlm to cover out our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception afterwards. So the team worked with us for 2 days. Both times, they showed up on time, focused and ready to give it all. Seeing our photographers so concentrated, my nervousness vanished. They took all the photos we requested, plus candid shots. Our photographer gave us tips on how to stand, sit or look but she wasn’t pushy at all. We knew we were absolutely free to do anything we wanted. Before the shoot, our manager suggested what colors to wear and to avoid. Her detailed recommendations show that she’s really thinking about how to take the nicest pictures!
We got plenty of compliments on our beautiful pictures. Some of my friends even asked for Life.Film’s contact, and I was more than happy to help them with that! Looking forward to working with Life.FIlm again. We will definitely hire them for some family event or something like that.

Life.FIlm completely exceeded our expectations! Their works speak for itself. We had a large wedding, with almost 200 guests. I was super nervous but Life.FIlm team stayed calm and focused, gave clear instructions and created artistic poses! They knew exactly what they were doing!
We had photos with up to 30 people on it, and our photographer managed to coordinate everything so perfectly that everyone was in the right place at the right time. I got married in January and he hired Life.FIlm to capture the best moment of our big day. We couldn’t dream of a better photographer! No one can really compare our team. I felt really comfortable around them! One of the photographers even helped me fix my hair and makeup! With Life.FIlm, I was 100% sure that I would look gorgeous on photos. On the photo set our photographer put us in different positions for posed shots and then suggested we do some candid shots which came out so natural and so us on the very same mane our videographer were filming too!
All team has an artistic and creative approach to videhraphy and photography. They are full of ideas, which was very important to us, ‘coz we were so excited about the whole wedding thing that we couldn’t think properly! We had quite a crowdy wedding…lots of people from all over the country and some of them were trave Polina managed to capture all the interesting moments! She took photos of everyone and everything so we could cherish that day for years to come. I’m speechless, actually. I’m still very impressed with our photos. Life.Film did our pre-wedding and wedding video shoots last year. My husband and I wanted an uncommon location for our pre-wedding footage, something no one of our married friends had. So we asked Life.FIlm’s manager opinion, and we came up with a couple of incredible ideas. We picked a picturesque beach. The videographer came up with incredible ideas – lying on the sand, walking, running, standing… In the same time we wrote an interview. It was so much fun, I felt like a famous person. The video turned out very live and natural (hey, it’s a beach, after all lol). What can I say? Life.FIlm has taste and unique artistic view. I mean, that artistic taste which is so hard to find nowadays. For our wedding, Life.Filma did a video and photos, of course. During the event, they was all around the place trying to capture the best moments! Wow, I was just speechless. Life.Film is a superb videographers! Before scheduled the appointment, we met with a couple of other videographers but we had doubts about them. Some were too expensive, others were pushy and so on…We were a bit disappointed. Actually, we thought that finding a good videographers in Los Angeles would be more easy. And it was turning out that we were wrong… But then my colleague at work gave me Life.FIlm’s contact. She knew the manager from her brother’s wedding. Well, this is how we finally found our creative videographers! My future husband and I don’t understand much in video production, and we were not sure about anything. So we relied on the studio 100% and they did their best! We booked Luxury package which included 2 videographers on the ground and a drone videographer. All our guest were just impressed by professionalism of the team! We shot in a number of settings that were chosen by our manager film Life.Film studio. We know that the video will turn out pretty beautiful but we didn’t expect that it will look like that. When I first time saw that I couldn’t stop my tears. We saw Life.Film team work at our friends’ wedding, and we knew that we could rely on her professionalism. My husband was very busy working, so I came with my dad. He is an amateur photographer, and he has a 23-year experience. To be honest, he’s always picky about other photographers’ works, although he doesn’t admit it (hope my dad isn’t reading it lol). Rick and his team shot our wedding on May 23, 2015 and they are the best! They were incredibly happy, detail oriented, prompt and professional.
