My son and daughter-in-law hired James to film their wedding and I am so glad they did. He was a pleasure to work with, always quick to respond to questions and always exceeding expectations. He was very personable and nearly invisible during the Church ceremony and Country Club reception. He came dressed professionally and gave us a finished product that makes us smile and will be a treasure forever. Brides, SO MANY things that you spend your money on for the wedding day are ephemeral. Gone. But the films LAST! They are the best way of remembering it all....all your hardwork of planning can ONLY live on in film, not to mention the voices and images of those that were there! My kids knew to get a wedding videographer because each year they enjoyed watching MY wedding video and saw me cry when I heard the voice, or saw in moving images the presence, of a loved one now deceased. Budget your money to put the most into capturing these milestone moments beautifully captured and edited by James. Relive the day.

James was very easy to communicate with and was there the entire day for video! The video turned out so well, I am so happy with everything!!

Videography was at the top of my priority list when I was planning, and I fell in love with James' work immediately. His videos are unique, cinematic, and shot beautifully. I had high hopes for him, and he completely surpassed them! He is a really great guy, which is huge since he's there for some really important moments, and an amazing videographer. The short trailer he did for us absolutely captured the fun, the love, and the joy of us as a couple and of the day itself. I couldn't recommend him highly enough!!

When my husband and I decided to elope, we knew that hiring James was the first thing we wanted to do. James was so easy to get along with and fully embraced our crazy adventure. We hired Light Motion Studios for our April 2018 wedding. James truly couldn’t have been any easier to work with and was patient with all our questions. We chose to purchase the short film and the full video of the entire day. When we received our short film back, it surpassed every expectation that we had. To say James is creative or talented honestly does not even begin to describe his skills and capabilities. His ability to take your entire day and summarize it so perfectly is a natural gift. Our short film let us re-live the magic of the day and gave us something to share with our family and friends—which they all loved. When we got our full video back, James captured everything we had hoped that he would, and we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for us to skip to different parts of the day. Without even seeing the final product, I say without any ounce of hesitation that selecting James as our videographer was one of the easiest and best decisions we made. When I first contacted James, he was immediately responsive and personable. I could tell just by our initial conversations that he had the qualities we were looking for in a vendor. A few weeks before the wedding, he checked in with us to confirm details and make sure everything was in order for the day. On the day of the wedding, I instantly felt like he was a good friend. Little did James know, about 5 minutes before he arrived I received terrible news about my grandmother, and yet somehow, he was able to completely lift my spirits and put me back on the right track. I think that alone speaks to his personality and passion - confirming that my initial impression of him was spot on. While we were getting ready, my bridesmaids were joking around and teasing with him - he seriously fit right in. When I started to get anxious before the ceremony, he yet again stepped in as the calming force (videographer or therapist? you decide). During the wedding James was involved, but hidden at the same time - I have no doubt that he captured many special moments & I can't wait to see them. Thank you for everything James!!!

James is so great!!! We could not have been happier with our videographer choice. James obviously has a lot of great experience and knows what he's doing... not to mention he's so nice and fun! We are very impressed and will cherish our videos forever.

James was AMAZING! I would recommend him to EVERYONE! He was very responsive to emails, came to our "getting ready" spot early to scope out the location and get ideas, stayed at our reception longer than anticipated, and put together the most beautiful wedding video for us! He is beyond talented and really understood our vision for the day and put it together perfectly! James is absolutely incredible to work with, and his work is off the charts! His services might be the best thing we purchased for our wedding. We are so happy to have an amazing video and highlight video... it's something we can rewatch any time we want. It will allow us to relive our wedding day for the rest of our lives. In the beginning stages of wedding planning and budgeting we were unsure about a videographer. We came across James and light motion studios from a friend and after watching only one of his highlight videos we called him up at booked him immediately! He is so nice to work with on the big day (easy going and sweet!), even my photographer said he was one of the best videographers he's worked along side! As everyone will tell you, the day is such a blur because it moves so fast. Well they're right! So when we got our wedding highlight video and had a chance to stand back and watch the day unfold, all the amazing feelings of love and happiness came flooding back! I don't know how he does it but he truly captured every emotion felt that day on film. I cried I laughed I smiled while watching. His beautifully creative eye and mind created something for us that I could never imagine! Family and friends made comments to us that they haven't seen a wedding highlight that well made that captures the actual feelings on film! My wife and I are very pleased with the videography from our wedding. James and his staff were very friendly and professional and the resulting videos were quite beautiful. They are very easy to work with and the "teaser trailer" of our footage was great. They also make it easy to order more copies of the footage for family members. Overall we had a great experience.

Planning a wedding can be absolutely agonizing, not to mention costly, but there are some pieces that should not be overlooked. While my Husband and I were planning our wedding for October 2014, the last thing we thought we needed was to get a Videographer - boy were we wrong!! We have been together for over 5 years, are each other's best friends and thought "come on now, there's no way we can have some sappy wedding video" but after countless people telling us to get one or we will we regret it, we are so happy that we found James with Light Motion Studios. His prices are more than reasonable for the quality that you will receive. Not only does he pay attention to every technical and professional detail, he will pay special attention to the personal details of your wedding day. From the first consultation to months later, we still cannot thank Light Motion Studios enough for the video provided. Every little detail that captured our emotions, presence and overall friendship and love was displayed in a way that was absolutely perfect for my Husband and I. You will not regret making the decision to go with James as he will make you feel like an old friend from your first consultation to keeping in touch months later. One of the most down to earth people, and truthfully made the whole "wedding vendor" title disappear throughout the entire process because of how much he truly wants to get to know and understand the bride and groom. I would highly recommended Light Motion Studios to anybody who may be on the fence for a Videographer, or just plain and simple wants one of the most cherished pieces of their wedding for the rest of their lives.

As the mother of the bride, I can say honestly say that the day passes WAY too quickly and the right videographer is one of the most important people you will hire for your daughter’s wedding. Photos capture a moment but the video captured the raw emotion. Watching the highlight video done by Light Motion Studios for my daughter’s wedding brought back all the emotions and most incredible moments of that magical day. The song selection and editing savvy really captured the joy and happiness that our daughter, her groom, and our guests experienced and each time I watch it I get teary-eyed and am left wanting more! Light Motion Studios’ video preserved the look, feel, and the heart of that day more beautifully and authentically than I could have ever imagined. This priceless memento was able to capture the day exactly how I remembered it but with a cinematic expertise that made me feel like I was watching the best love story I could ever see in a theatre. Thank you for capturing all the special moments of my daughter’s wedding day and allowing me to relive it whenever I want. The video will be a cherished keepsake for many years to come.

James was amazing to work with!! It's not always easy dealing with brides and the stress but he was very accommodating and very attentive. He met with myself and the groom to get an idea of what we wanted for our big day. James was with the bridal party starting first thing in the morning with hair/makeup through getting dressed and the whole bit. The slow motion video booth was a great hit as well. James offered to do it as a pilot before he started officially offering the service. Again, it was a huge hit with our friends and family. If I had to offer a little bit of constructive criticism I would make two suggestions: 1) I wish we had some shots of the guys getting ready prior to the wedding and 2) I wish we had some more footage of our guests. I understand that the groom and I were the focus but I would have loved for the camera to zoom out and capture our guests especially during the vows and the first dance. Again, James was amazing and if I had to do it all over again, I would definitely use his services.

I am so happy with my wedding video thanks to Light Motion Studios! James was professional, fun and very easy to work with! It's an odd feeling to be in front of a camera especially if you are not used to it but he put our entire bridal party at ease. Our video turned out better than we could have imagined. He captured all of the little things that made our day so special. I have recommended James and his services to all of my friends getting married!

James was absolutely wonderful to work with! From the first time we met, he made it really important that we have the vision that we wanted! I watched a LOT of bad wedding videography (like 1980s style) and seeing James' work was such a breath of fresh air! Plus he was much more affordable than other videographers that are shooting in the documentary style! He was so flexible and even customized our package to fit our needs! He experimented with us as we wanted a very documentary style video and he used some new techniques! He came out to our home the day before the wedding to do an interview and then went back to the locations after our wedding day to get extra footage to make the video perfect! We've only received our highlight video so far, and I have literally watched it 100 times in a day! It is perfect! People that don't even know us say that they have teared up watching it! He really captured the feeling of the day and our feelings toward each other! I think he went above and beyond to make our wedding video something worth watching and we are so excited to share his work with our friends and family when our final cut is completed! James at Light Motion Studios videoed our August 31st wedding! We just recently received our video and could not have more great things to say! The video took myself, my husband and my family's breath away and brought tears to our eyes. My dad who isn't usually easily impressed by this kind of stuff was totally taken back and said the money we spent on the videographer was the best place we put our money out of the whole wedding! James was beyond professional, totally accommodating and had the best personally! He was lovely to work with and has a passion for his job which shows through in his work! We would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone!
