Light Parade Films

After two months of debating whether to delay our wedding due to COVID-19, my husband and I got married two weeks ago. In lieu of 250 guests at a fancy venue, we opted for a small ceremony (parents only) at a city park. We planned to record the ceremony on an iPhone and tripod; we messaged Light Parade 2 days ahead of the big day to ask whether they had any recommendations on clip-on microphones. Not only did Susan have microphone recommendations, she was prepared to do a full-on, socially distant recording of our big day. She nailed filming our ceremony, despite us changing literally every aspect of our venue, audience, and timeline. She was funny, easy going, and super easy to work with. She was professional, toting all of her equipment and a mask to Washington Park. Her turnaround time was impressive, the quality was stunning (we are SO glad we didn't try to iPhone this moment!), and she was even able to zoom the event to our bridal party. We are forever grateful to her for capturing our magical day amidst all the chaos. We definitely plan to use her again for our reception next year. Highly recommend!!

Susan was a dream to work with! The day of the wedding she was incredibly fun and helpful (she even bustled my dress for me!). She was so smooth and effortless as she filmed the day of, I would forget we were on camera which allowed her to capture natural emotion instead of a posed film. Susan with Light Parade was my wedding videographer for my big day. As a wedding photographer, I thought I knew the importance of film, but I really truly didn't. I always thought "photos are #1!", but to actually see your emotions IN motion... Thats something that a photographer cannot capture. We can only capture the still. My wedding film is nothing short of spectacular and almost two years later, my wedding film make me tear up and it truly makes me FEEL like the day I got married. I see us crumble with our first look, me clutching my geriatric boston terrier and crying into her when I was getting ready, to see those emotions play out I never realized how amazingly special they were until I had my very own film. I would not know what I do without this film, as it is my most cherished take way from my wedding. Susan SLAYED it! She's not only fun, she is a true professional, and she created a film that was just so unique to us as a couple. Thank you Susan! Susan was wonderful to work with! I immediately trusted her and knew that she understood our style and what we were wanting out of our videos. They turned out beautifully! She does an amazing job of putting everything together to tell the story of the day in the most perfect way possible. I loved the idea of writing letters to each other and incorporating that into the video. We actually booked her for extra hours because we really wanted the end of the night to be caputred, and we are grateful that we were able to make that work. We love our teaser and highlights films, as well as the full videos of our dances, toasts, and ceremony. I wish we could re-live our wedding day, but these films are definitely the next best thing!

Susan was such a wonderful presence to have at our wedding. I truly cannot thank her and her team enough. She was recommended to us by our photographer - Jonathan Gibson - and we are so glad we decided to go with her. You can tell that Susan loves what she does because she goes above and beyond. We had a smaller wedding (approx 55 people) and a very relaxed timeline and Susan worked with us wonderfully. She is a true professional and worked well with our photographer as they were both getting a lot of the same shots. But, even more importantly, this person is going to be with you as you are making some of the most important memories of your life and I couldn't have asked for a better person. She helped get my tiara on and made sure my dress was buttoned up correctly. We also had our dog at the wedding and she even helped keep him occupied at times and he loved her company! Our wedding was on 12/28/2018 so it was a little cold and the grounds at Pinecroft were damp. She and her assistant helped carry my train and my shoes and I was so touched by how helpful they were. The shots she got of us looked breathtaking and she even made us an Instagram trailer within a week from the wedding! We can't wait to see the full video! I cannot recommend Susan enough. She is, without doubt, a highly talented videographer, but also a very kind person and goes above and beyond for you! THANK YOU :-)

Susan did a video for my sister's wedding and honestly we didn't even need the pictures we only wanted the video! She was fantastic and the video is emotional, funny and entertaining and it's something we love to watch and look back on.

We LOVED working with Susan! She is so laid back and down to earth, which makes her easy to work with during a time that can be hectic and stressful at times. We knew we wanted our wedding to be captured by a videographer, and we picked Susan at Light Parade Films after watching previous weddings she had filmed. We loved her attention to detail and how she told a beautiful story with each wedding highlight video we watched. My husband was also very excited about the drone footage! Susan and her assistant were absolutely a dream to work with! We signed up for her package that includes a 3-minute highlight video and a 30-minute "feature" that captured all the most amazing moments from our day. She did an amazing job pairing images with voice-over that makes for an incredible memory we'll have forever. Susan and her team are a very talented group of videographers. They will go above and beyond to make sure that your day is perfect. Not only did Susan make sure I had some alone time to relax and enjoy my day, she also had a bridal emergency kit and helped tape me into my dress when it kept falling down! I don't know many other people who are that prepared! She is extremely professional, always on time, and makes absolutely beautiful videos. She was very good at making you feel like she wasn't there, and was sweet enough to let us know when she was leaving and give us big hugs. We feel so lucky that she was there with us on our big day and now we have such a beautiful memory to cherish for the rest of our lives!

Susan and her crew are beyond awesome! Working with her was an incredible experience from when we booked her (over a year before our wedding) to the day we got married! She was so great in fact that most people didn’t even realize we there was a videographer present at our wedding. Susan was very professional and provided details about every step of the experience. Susan and her team did an AMAZING!!!! job with the wedding. I was overjoyed and so proud to share the video with all of my friends and family, especially those who were unable to attend the wedding. All I can say is that I am SO happy that I chose Susan and Light Parade Films. Everyone I showed our wedding video to was so impressed with it! Susan was my absolute FAVORITE vendor of our wedding day. She is AMAZING. There's no better way to relive the day than to have a video done by Light Parade Films. Susan is not only nice, personable, and helpful, but she genuinely loves love and is so talented. She is a wonderful person, and I could go on and on about how great she is. A moment from my wedding day sticks out in my mind when things got hectic. Out of everyone there, Susan was the one to calm me down and help get my dress in order. We chose her package containing a "Love Story" to be played at our reception. Not only was it a blast filming it with her, but everyone at the reception loved the video. Months later, I still hear raving reviews from our guests on how much they enjoyed it. We have also received our final product from our wedding day, and we couldn't be happier with it. We will forever cherish this video. Nothing compares to the candid moments she was able to capture. We would recommend Susan to anyone considering hiring a videographer.

First of all - Susan and her team are OUTSTANDING! I am absolutely OBSESSED with my highlight and wedding video!! As soon as I got engaged I knew I wanted a videographer because I knew that the day would go by in a flash, and I wanted to be able to re-live such an amazing day. I met with multiple videographers whose work was all great but ultimately chose LPF because of the immediate comfort I felt when I met Susan - knowing that this person would be with me while me and the ladies were getting dressed and ready, feeling comfortable and myself while they were videotaping was very important to me. Communication with Susan was never an issue, she typically responded to my e-mails in a few hours (amazing). The day of the wedding, she showed up EARLY to the hotel and started working right away. We were all at ease with her immediately, and I know the guys were at ease with their videographer as well. It rained the day of our wedding so some of our photo locations were just not going to work, so Susan worked my photographer to come up with locations that could work, and made my life SO much easier (much appreciated!!!)! Honestly, after that I don't even remember seeing them, they were as sly as a cat. As soon as we got back from honeymoon we had a wedding highlight ready and it was OUTSTANDING!! It highlighted all the important parts of our day and was a perfect short video to watch to get a feel for the day if our friends/family couldn't make it - everyone loved it! A few weeks later we got the full video which is about 35 minutes and I am in LOVE with it - seriously, Susan did an outstanding job getting all the important details of our day. Having all the readings, homily, and vows were important to me, and she used all the music from the ceremony in these parts - I was SO impressed! Honestly though, watching our first look and seeing my husbands reaction and hearing him read his letter to me before the ceremony made the whole videographer/wedding video package worth it. He's not one to show affection so to see how happy he was and how much he loves all day just means the world to me. Seeing the whole day in video lets you relive all the moments in a way that just looking at pictures doesn't allow you to and I am SO SO happy that my [reluctant] husband and I hired LPF! Susan + Team, thank you SO MUCH for capturing the most important day in our lives so miraculously - I will treasure the video and highlight video for years, and I'm looking forward to showing it to my kids and grandkids one day! Everyone was absolutely right when they said the day goes by in a blur! I couldn't be more excited that I chose to have Light Parade Films capture it. The highlight reel is amazing and brings me right back to so many of the moments I wish could have gone on forever. They also made everything easy, I barely knew they were there.

When we decided to have our wedding, there is a reason that Susan's services were the first that I scheduled. I knew that we had to have her help on our day. I saw work that she had done for someone else, and was blown away by how phenomenal it was. Let me say that this is coming from someone who did not really even consider a videographer for my wedding. I knew someone who had a wedding video which just happened to be made by Susan. I saw her work and there was no doubt that we had to have her there. Once I realized that having a videographer at a wedding was a thing, I started looking more and more into videographers. After weeding through what seemed like a million pages and profiles for videographers, still none seemed to hold a candle to the video of the wedding Susan had done. However, her work is not the only thing that sets Susan apart. She is a wonderful person, and you cannot deny that once you meet her in person. We did meet and correspond several times before the big day so that she could go over how everything works and she was very thorough, not to mention that she sat down with me when we met and created my wedding timeline right then and there after telling her that it was a task I was struggling to get completed. Despite her work I was nervous with the idea of having someone follow me with a camera, but all of that fades away. She feels like a comfortable friend helping you through the day. To further explain this, I got to the reception on the day of the wedding to find that my flowers were nothing like what I had originally hoped. Luckily enough I had ordered a small amount of extra flowers in bulk from another florist in case we should need them, and with less than a half hour until it was time to start taking my photos, I frantically started to rearrange them. I ripped apart my entire bouquet and with Susan's help we made an entirely different bouquet for me. She placed all the flowers together again and wrapped them in ribbon while I got ready to step into my gown. She shows up not to do a job, but to see you through your wedding. If you are looking for a lifetime of memories, that are beautifully made, and you want a great time while doing it I urge you to look no further than Susan.

My recent wedding was very intimate with immediate family only, and in my parent's backyard. Though the wedding was small, we knew we wanted a videographer to remember our special day. Susan is the BEST decision we made for our wedding. We filmed a love story with her before the wedding and then had her with us for the whole wedding day/night. She is extremely willing to please and very easy to get along with. She caught all the moments we wanted and her interviews with our family members were fabulous. Not only was Susan a great videographer, but she was also there to help out with various odds and ends that popped up throughout the day. For example, she helped put my veil on! Susan and her assistant were an AMAZING team and made everyone very comfortable during the filming process throughout the day. Multiple family members remarked how comfortable they felt around her throughout the entire day. She was very accommodating and willing to meet before our wedding to go over all of the details. It was also amazing to see how she coordinated with our videographer throughout the entire day and night. The finished product was delivered in a cute and creative package, very attractive! My husband and I, as well as everyone we have shown the video to love how the video was structured and the moments that she captured throughout the day. She knows how to get a glimpse of the entire day into a video that is just the right amount of length. Our highlight reel was ready shortly after the wedding. She even incorporated an extra clip in that our vocalist was not able to sing in the church mass, which we really appreciated and are happy that she was able to get this into our video. A++ job! I can't say enough about what an amazing choice it was to have Susan film our wedding day. 5/5 stars just doesn't cut it, she deserves more. Zack and I booked the 8-10 hour package and it was just right. Susan and Rick captured every moment of our day perfectly. We had our highlight reel the night we returned from our honeymoon and the full video was hand delivered in creative packaging 3 months later. I know that sounds like a long time, but it was worth the wait. Susan's creative editing was the perfect combination of modern film making and classic videography. We still had our entire ceremony, but filmed and flawlessly edited from multiple angles. It was like watching a movie at the theater, not just your uncle filming your wedding on a tripod. The creative touch she put on the "getting ready" portion of the film included voice over interviews of the two of us and our grandmothers. The music choices fit our relationship and style nicely. She actually captured our day better than the photographer did. I can't wait to show this to our family and some day our children. This is a forever keepsake that should not be skipped on your wedding day. Thank you for the memories Susan!

The VERY best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Susan and Light Parade Films to capture our big day. Susan was an absolute delight throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, she not only filmed everything going on, but she helped out in so many other little ways as well (such as fluffing my dress, holding flowers, etc.). She made me feel very at ease when performing the interview as she is an exceptionally kind person, and she worked so well with our photographers to make sure that everyone was able to capture the exact pictures and footage that my husband and I wanted. A couple days after the wedding, I was surprised to find that our trailer was already complete and ready for viewing. To say I loved the sneak peek would be an absolute understatement. It turned out PERFECT and was everything I hoped for and more! A few weeks later we received the full video and again, I was in tears and beyond thrilled with the finished product! Susan and her partner, Richard, caught every key detail of our wedding and have allowed us to relieve the best day of our lives through the film. I can’t begin to sing enough praises for this wonderful videographer, so, I will just close with this… If I could make only one recommendation to a bride it would be -- Hire Light Parade Films! You will NOT be disappointed!

Susan was great to work with! We were so impressed with the teaser video and the full-length video. She captured every moment that we requested, and even moments we didn't think to ask about. She perfectly coordinated our music to go along with the video. Before the wedding, she even gave us a questionnaire for us to fill out so that she could better customize it to exactly what we wanted in our video. Susan was amazing to work with. She somehow managed to capture all the right moments while staying almost invisible and out of the way. She made me feel comfortable and at ease during the interview portion so that I was able to say all the mushy things about my fiancé that I wanted included. The video teaser was completed and posted very quickly. My husband and I saw it for the first time at the airport returning from our honeymoon.
