We didn't have a wedding party and didn't want "getting ready" pictures, and Erika was the first photographer to really make us feel normal about these decisions. She was easy to communicate with from the start. Also, our guests all commented on how cool the photographers were! We had a traditional Jewish wedding and Erika captured beautiful moments throughout the ketubah signing, under the chuppah and the wild 30 minute horah! Were so happy to have these photographs that allow us to re-live the moments that were full of love, joy, energy and emotion!

When we first started shopping around for a wedding photographer…we didn’t want the basic, very posed, or highly over edited photos that look fake. Throughout our search we kept running across these same photographers, but it didn’t match with us. Eventually we found Erika and Loy of Light Sky Photography. My advice: find people who match your vibes! And always trust people with tattoos. Turns out “alternative portraiture & documentary” is what we wanted.
Wedding day. We had a ton of fun letting Erika & Loy guide us throughout the day for photos. Our guests mentioned how awesome our photographers are. Looking back at these photos really does bring me joy. We still look like ourselves, just way cooler. Also, personally recommend doing first look photos. It feels like you’re on a secret mission behind the scenes to take great photos with your honey. Needless to say, hiring Light Sky Photography is absolutely worth the investment! Erika was very communicative in the months prior to the wedding, and on the day of the wedding she was there and already getting to work without even needing to chat with me (the groom). I found this awesome, as I had a ton of other stuff going on, so it was a relief to know Erika's professionalism and experience allowed her to just jump straight into her gig.
The photo session after the wedding was just fun. Erika is fun to work with, has a great personality, and even the poses we were skeptical of ended up turning out really nicely in the final photos. Honestly, I can't think of anything negative or "constructive criticism" wise to throw in this review. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, you found a great option with Light Sky Photography.

I will admit I was hesitant to book them at first because my husband and I were getting married in a city they had not yet done a wedding - therefore, were unfamiliar with the venue and surrounding area. However when reviewing her portfolio, the quality and naturalness of her photos simply outdid every other. We got married on a ranch, and Erika and Loy were so creative in coming up with ideas for pictures, utilizing all the different scenery. They truly captured our personalities and everyone's emotions throughout the day perfectly. We included our two dogs in the wedding, and they were so good with them and got amazing pictures of them.
I love that they edit and sort all the pictures before sending them to you. And not just basic editing - Erika saved us when my husband's stepfather got a huge red stain on his shirt before pictures. Before we even had a chance to freak out, Erika just brushed it off - "Don't worry, I'll edit it out". You can't tell anything happened to his shirt in any of the pictures.
