I valued seeing she works with a diverse group of clientele and this was a huge reason for choosing her as our photographer. I was worried about my skin tone coming out well in photos as that has been an issue with proper lighting and my dark brown skin with professional photographers in the past but our photos were absolutely lovely and natural. The feelings of anxiety I had before the shoot, considering that I was in a vulnerable state, quickly evaporated once she entered my home and started shooting. She made me feel so at peace and comfortable with her words of encouragement and the mood that she created through her unique music playlists. The atmosphere was like no other. The images captured such an intimacy and beauty and brought me a sense of empowerment that I had never before experienced. After the wedding, I was dying to work with Erika again. She did a shoot with my husband and I to capture our love post wedding, and my husband now was able to understand what I felt when she did my boudoir shoot. Comfort. Peace. Confidence. cause I'm never in front of the camera and worried about how I would look in photos. Let me tell you! We looked like a couple of engaged hotties on that beach. There is nothing better than having trust in your photographer. She is quick to respond and easy to communicate with - obviously. You will love her. *edit* we got married! When we first started shopping around for a wedding photographer…we didn’t want the basic, very posed, or highly over edited photos that look fake. Throughout our search we kept running across these same photographers, but it didn’t match with us. Eventually we found Erika and Loy of Light Sky Photography. My advice: find people who match your vibes! And always trust people with tattoos. Turns out “alternative portraiture & documentary” is what we wanted. Wedding day. We had a ton of fun letting Erika & Loy guide us throughout the day for photos. Our guests mentioned how awesome our photographers are. Looking back at these photos really does bring me joy. We still look like ourselves, just way cooler. Also, personally recommend doing first look photos. It feels like you’re on a secret mission behind the scenes to take great photos with your honey. Needless to say, hiring Light Sky Photography is absolutely worth the investment! Wedding photos are forever.
