Have you ever wanted a photographer who captures every moment with such grace and so naturally? Sonja is the one! She took charge when we had no clue what to do and she took notes ...
of all our requests of grabbing family photos and candid photos with our guests. Also respected when we wanted breaks. She showed up early, was always present and communicated so clearly.
Sonja and her team fully embraced our personalities, and they captured our engagement and wedding in a very personal and professional manner. Sonja was extremely helpful throughout...

We chose to hire Sonja as our photographer for our wedding in August 2019 after getting a recommendation from a co-worker. We truly lucked out! Sonja is absolutely amazing! We c...
ouldn't have asked for a better photographer. She was incredibly flexible with finding time for engagement pictures and was impressively organized for the day-of pictures. We had a very long list of family pictures we wanted to fit in, and she made them all work!
When we first met with her to ask her questions and get to know her, she actually helped us plan out the timing for the entire day of the wedding from "First Look" pictures through the dance at the end of the night! By the end of that first meeting we knew we had found our wedding photographer!
Sonja had three different package levels, and we were glad we chose her mid-level. It included a secondary photographer and an engagement session. This was perfect for us. Sonja and her assistant photographer, Ian, did an amazing job with pictures the day-of. It was great having both of them during our wedding party pictures since Sonja was able to take pictures of the bride and bridesmaids while Ian took the groom and groomsmen pictures.
Overall, we can't say enough good things about working with Sonja. We have already recommended Sonja to other people we know. We will definitely consider asking Sonja to take pictures for us at other events in the future!

ryone has a photographer horror story, but we can confidently say Sonja will never appear in one. Starting with the engagement shoot, we knew we had made a great choice: she’s got plenty of experience to suggest fun shots that work, and the flexibility and creativity to go with the moment when things come up. She really did her homework beforehand and had a bunch of ideas for locations, timing, and angles. It felt so good to be in the hands of a professional - she worked out a super reasonable photography schedule with us well in advance (do a first look if you can! It worked out so well for us!!), kindly but firmly rounded up family members, coordinated really well with her second shooter, and adapted on the fly to keep us on that schedule! It was a miracle. We got so many compliments on our engagement photos, and we absolutely love our wedding photos. She captured beautiful staged pictures and cute spontaneous moments. What are you waiting for? Book her!
I found Sonja (Lightbound Photography) via a Facebook ad and am sooooo glad I did! She is not only an amazing photographer, but her fun, friendly and down to earth personality was ...
exactly what we wanted.
She found us beautiful locations to do our engagement and wedding photos at based on our preferences and style.
She was tremendously helpful in creating a "day of" timeline that worked for us (and our budget). We could tell she had a lot of experience based on her knowledge of how the day would go. I constantly felt reassured by her that everything would go off without a hitch, and whatever problem we ran into, we'd figure out a solution.
She knew who we wanted in our photos, and she came prepared with a list to ensure she captured ALL of the photos we hoped for. She scoped out our venue ahead of time to check the lighting.
We had a second photographer whom Sonja chose for us, Gretchen. Gretchen was super friendly and talented also! We didn't meet her until the day of but she was so welcoming and caring, I felt like I had known her longer.
I would recommend Sonja/Lightbound Photography to anyone in a heartbeat!

n through skype and email. She came with a second photographer (Alex) on the day of who struck ridiculous poses to get the perfect shot. Even though it rained, Sonja was prepared with umbrellas for all and a positive attitude which put me at ease. I would definitely recommend to anyone with any photography needs.

nd was super easy to get in touch with during the entire planning process. She did both our engagement and wedding photography, and the photos were incredible. She captured all the emotions of our wedding day in each photo and really made the day come back to life. I received so many compliments from people at the wedding about how great she was to work with. I would highly highly recommend her to anyone looking for wedding photography or any other kind of photography as well!

photos to finalizing the schedule for our big day, Sonja was a smart mix of professional & personable! Then our pictures came in. WOW! Looking through the photos was like reliving the day! Sonja captured the day perfectly - better than we imagined - and most importantly highlighted how happy we are. Thank you thank you!

rilled with the way she captured our day. She was there from the getting ready photos through our reception and did not miss a moment. She perfectly captured our love and personalities in a completely natural way. Plus, she got so many great candids of our guests that we would have missed otherwise in the blur of the day. She did a great job location scouting and had so many ideas for shots that we would not have considered on our own. We were very impressed with her professionalism are beyond pleased with her beautiful work!! Thank you, Sonja!!
Had a great time with Sonja (despite freezing temperatures) taking our engagement photos. My fiance and I are both not very keen on the idea of having our photos taken, and went in...
to engagement photos thinking they'd be practice before the wedding, but they were actually really easy! Sonja made everything feel natural and we got a lot of great photos. She's also great with animals, and we had our dog join us for a few of the pictures. Can't wait for her to take photos at our wedding!
We were so lucky to have Sonja as our photographer at our wedding! We spoke a few times about shots that I really wanted on the day of and I shared my pinterest board with her, and...
she did all the magic:) She visited the site before the wedding, and found all the cool places for pictures that I didn't even know that they existed! She made us feel so relaxed and told us exactly how to pose for each picture, so even my husband who doesn't really like his pictures taken felt comfortable. She is so sweet, easy to work with, and very accommodating. We are 120% satisfied and happy with the pictures that came out and our venue even used our picture for their brochure:) And she even traveled out to California for our wedding! Thank you!!!
