ouldn't have asked for a better photographer. She was incredibly flexible with finding time for engagement pictures and was impressively organized for the day-of pictures. We had a very long list of family pictures we wanted to fit in, and she made them all work!
When we first met with her to ask her questions and get to know her, she actually helped us plan out the timing for the entire day of the wedding from "First Look" pictures through the dance at the end of the night! By the end of that first meeting we knew we had found our wedding photographer!
Sonja had three different package levels, and we were glad we chose her mid-level. It included a secondary photographer and an engagement session. This was perfect for us. Sonja and her assistant photographer, Ian, did an amazing job with pictures the day-of. It was great having both of them during our wedding party pictures since Sonja was able to take pictures of the bride and bridesmaids while Ian took the groom and groomsmen pictures.
Overall, we can't say enough good things about working with Sonja. We have already recommended Sonja to other people we know. We will definitely consider asking Sonja to take pictures for us at other events in the future!

ryone has a photographer horror story, but we can confidently say Sonja will never appear in one. Starting with the engagement shoot, we knew we had made a great choice: she’s got plenty of experience to suggest fun shots that work, and the flexibility and creativity to go with the moment when things come up. She really did her homework beforehand and had a bunch of ideas for locations, timing, and angles. It felt so good to be in the hands of a professional - she worked out a super reasonable photography schedule with us well in advance (do a first look if you can! It worked out so well for us!!), kindly but firmly rounded up family members, coordinated really well with her second shooter, and adapted on the fly to keep us on that schedule! It was a miracle. We got so many compliments on our engagement photos, and we absolutely love our wedding photos. She captured beautiful staged pictures and cute spontaneous moments. What are you waiting for? She found us beautiful locations to do our engagement and wedding photos at based on our preferences and style.
She was tremendously helpful in creating a "day of" timeline that worked for us (and our budget). We could tell she had a lot of experience based on her knowledge of how the day would go. I constantly felt reassured by her that everything would go off without a hitch, and whatever problem we ran into, we'd figure out a solution.
She knew who we wanted in our photos, and she came prepared with a list to ensure she captured ALL of the photos we hoped for. She scoped out our venue ahead of time to check the lighting.
We had a second photographer whom Sonja chose for us, Gretchen. Gretchen was super friendly and talented also! We didn't meet her until the day of but she was so welcoming and caring, I felt like I had known her longer.

to engagement photos thinking they'd be practice before the wedding, but they were actually really easy! Sonja made everything feel natural and we got a lot of great photos.
