Lightning Productions Pro DJ

We had such a great experience with Lightning Productions Pro DJ! We had Andy Hintgen as our DJ and he was SO helpful throughout the whole process as we used him for both our ceremony and reception. He planned with us months in advance and asked us all the right questions to make sure we didn't forget any parts of the day that would need music! I will say my personal favorite from the day and something our DJ Andy planned in advance was an alternative to a dollar dance! It was a HIT!!! I couldn't recommend him enough! He was open to our thoughts and straight forward with us on if things would work or not! 10/10!!!

Lightening Productions Pro DJ did an AWESOME job at pur wedding and reception. Victor ran through the plan prior to the wedding and told me he would take care of it all, and he made my experience as the bride much less stressful. And there was not one song at the reception that didn't have people on the dance floor. He kept the music so much fun and kept the party going up until the very end. He was great to communicate with the day of the wedding, keeping us updated on everything. He played all the songs we wanted to hear, and the songs we didn't have on our list fit in perfect too! He definitely made the day perfect!

Our wedding DJ was Andy from Lightning Productions in Mason City, IA. For our wedding party entrance, we did a "baseball walk up" style where we asked each couple to select a 20-30 clip of a song to play as they enter. We sent Andy the list and order of songs two weeks prior to the wedding. At the event, he completely messed up the songs. It wasn't the correct order and it did not transition smoothly at all. Completely ruined the dramatic entrance. One of our groomsmen then overheard him complaining about us in the reception area. He was making comments like "Who decides to have 20 second clips of songs? That's way too difficult and such a bad idea." We notified him two weeks prior of our idea and he should have said something earlier if he knew it would be an issue! Clearly showed he did not prepare. And terrible professionalism to be talking bad about the couple at their wedding when family and friends can hear. Then, his speakers were terrible. My dad rewrote lyrics to a song to play during our first dance and I felt so bad because you couldn't understand the words and could barely hear the music. Thankfully it got better once the dancing started but it really dampened our first dances. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.

He's a great guy who made our wedding a super fun time, played great songs, and was really great about staying on schedule.
