red Lightyear Studios to do our engagement and wedding photo/videography, and it was one of the best decisions we made throughout this whole process. We couldn’t be happier with the job him and his team did for us. They were incredibly professional and ensured we got all the shots we wanted and then some. They made the whole process so much more fun and worked with us every step of the way. They took a lot of the stress of that weekend away from us and made sure that we were well taken care of. Indian weddings tend to be pretty crazy between the various functions, timings and people. Lightyear made sure that we did our best to stay on track to ensure we got the key parts captured. They allowed us to stay in the moment while making sure they were shot perfectly. We absolutely loved working with them as they made the day as stress free as possible and made sure the focus was on us. As anyone who has done a photoshoot before (or not), it can be very awkward, but Nathan and Thanh did a great job keeping us engaged and laughing the whole time. Our family and friends have been so complimentary of everything they did and how easy they were to work with. We would recommend Nathan,Thanh and Lightyear to anyone who wants to ensure that they get the best photos/videos for any special events in their lives. We realized early in the process that all the planning you do is mainly for that day and it’s one and done. The only things that come with you after is the photo and videos of that time, so it’s imperative you get a group that will do everything they can to make sure it was all worth it. They are easily the best in the business and our wedding would not have been anything close to what it was, without them. You would be doing yourself a major disservice by going with anyone else. I don’t say this because they did our wedding, because if anything, we would scrutinize even more. We say it because they are truly incredible people who care about their clients like family and make sure that your event is captured in the best ways possible. We cannot wait to work with them again and hope we see them at any upcoming events we attend.

They listened to my requests ( I wanted to party not take a thousand pictures) however, they got the most beautiful shots imaginable with what little time I allotted them after the ceremony. (I wanted to make it to cocktail hour) The video is the most gorgeous, touching thing I have ever seen! Everyone (even strangers) who saw the video has cried. If you are reading these reviews, just go ahead and book them! I cant begin to thank them enough for the memories that I will cherish forever.

nd videos we received. Nathan and Thanh are the best photo/video team and can capture any special occasion. We were lucky to have them at our wedding which was an all day affair. Not only did they travel from Philly to NJ on a summer Saturday morning, but they arrived early! Nathan had some very creative ideas which we incorporated into our photos/videos. They also incorporated ideas/requests we had. People don't realize how important it is to have the best/most experienced photo video team and sometimes opt for the cheaper choice. I'm glad we didn't make that mistake because they were worth every penny and more and we would choose them again over anyone else (and trust me. I did a lot of research). Their work doesn't compare to anyone else. Pictures and videos last forever and Lightyear studio made sure we had the best photos and videos to remember our special day.

Through his work, you feel him drawing the audience into that moment in time with the perfect blend of visuals, sounds, transitions, and emotions. I’m not sure what is the driving motivation behind his craft, but you got a sense that he understood how important each and every moment was for each of his clients, and made sure his team was there to encapsulate it. As it led up to our big day, Nathan and Thanh kept in touch with us to help plan out the logistics, and offered helpful tips to make our day more efficient. They also asked us what were some important elements of the wedding to us, and gave us a walkthrough of how the day may transpire to ensure their team would be there every step of the way. Their constant open channel of communication was invaluable, and remained flexible as we had last minute logistical changes the week leading up to the big day. On the day of the wedding, Thanh and the team arrived even earlier than expected to ensure they were set up to capture everything from the beginning. We noticed it wasn’t just Thanh giving out the orders to team, but each of the guys played a vital role, and voiced their opinions when they felt strongly about how a certain position, lighting, etc. could work better. Seeing that first hand gave us a sense that they trusted each other, and reinforced our trust in them. Even following the wedding, Nathan called us to ask if we would want to help provide additional content that could be overlaid on top of the film. It was one thing to be the subject of the photo and films, but this made us feel like we were truly partners in the whole process. Lightyear Studio certainly went above and beyond in all facets. A few days into our honeymoon, we received a message from them letting us know that they had created a video of our first dance. We had not asked for this, so it came as a wonderful surprise, and allowed us to reminisce only days removed from the wedding. A few weeks later, they published a preview of the photos that they had taken for us to share with family and friends to continue to relive the day. We had also ordered a wedding album, and they were thoughtful to have it completed in time by Thanksgiving for us to show during the holiday. At last, the wedding film.. There are not enough words to describe how perfect it came out. Nathan was able to take the footage from the day, break it apart, and weave it together again to make a magical, heartwarming, and tear jerking montage of our story and our wedding day. In the words of one of my friend’s Facebook comments “I feel like I just watched a Korean drama. This is everything!” His work is truly inspirational, and inspires the most important thing of all; a hopeful and reassurance in love. It was absolutely a pleasure to work with Nathan and Thanh. Their dedication to their craft and passion for their work is incomparable. Our wedding was just one day, but we relive it every time we watch our film and look through our photos. We wholeheartedly recommend Lightyear Studio, and still follow their Facebook feed to view all the masterful work they create for other couples as well. Thank you Nathan and Thanh!

We immediately booked them for our photography and videography. I met with Nathan several times leading up to the big day and they even helped us plan out our wedding day / schedule. orgeous! they are an amazing team who will listen to your ideas as well as give you some great ideas too. our wedding album and photos are more than we could of asked for... they are vibrant and elegant at the same time capturing every moment of that day in such unique ways. they did such a wonderful job and we loved them so much six of our family and friends also used them! i would recommend lightyear to anyone i knew that who was approaching any milestone in their life that they would want to have documented in such a gorgeous way! love, love, love them!

irst it was a wedding planned in Philadelphia, but as time went on we changed our minds and decided to marry in Rome. We called Nathan, to cancel he asked for a meeting with us to discuss some things. Nathan, surprised us when he said that he wanted to fly to Italy with us, we of course said yes. We had our doubts at first with Nathan, not being familiar with the sights or good locations for pictures. Our doubts were quickly put to rest when Nathan new exactly where to go for the best pictures. As we toured around Rome before the wedding Nathan, and his wife went along with us all the time taking pictures. What I'm getting at is that this company and it's owners make you feel like family, they take the time to putting you at ease when things go wrong, and help you through whatever issues pop up. As to their work all I could say on that simply the BEST. Nathan, told us that he is different from other photographers because his pictures tell a story of our best day of our lives, and that he did. To this day we stay in contact with Nathan, and his wife Thanh. Lastly, If you're thinking about getting a photographer for any occasion, and want the best, get Lightyear Studios you will never regret it.

io through a friend that was also looking for a photographer at the moment. I emailed them, and they got back to me the same day!! Can't say that about many places. I set up my appointment to meet with them and to see samples of their work. I booked right then and there. I did not need to look further because they were able to provide me with the quality I wanted plus pricing I wanted it at. I did pay extra for my wedding album, engagement canvas, and for HD filming though. If I wanted to do the standard photo album, standard frame, and standard filming, then my price wouldn't be high, but I upgraded to more photographers and videographers after knowing the job they do first hand. I had an engagement shoot with the same company. Nathan was my photographer and I loooved the shoot. He is definately a true artist. He was able to determine what makes us look good in photos and able to even determine when my smile was starting to look tired/fake!! He had my photos posted up about 3 days later for me to view and I fell in love (thats the reason why I upgraded everything) He would also give me recomendations on what to expect and do to make my wedding day go smoothly. Nathan would have me and my now husband (during meetings in the office to discuss the actual wedding day) practice how we should hold the rings during our ceremony so that the photographer can get the perfect shot. Thanh (another photographer of mine during the day of my wedding) recommended a place near my reception hall for photos that was absolutely perfect. I couldn't ask for anything better than that. The day of the wedding (just passed, October 30, 2010), I had a team of 4 people from Lightyear Studio. They arrived early and were 100% prepared for the day. Most of my bridesmaids were extremely late, but the phtographers were very patient when it came to that. I on the other hand kept bugging out at my bridal party, but the photographers would let me know to calm down and that they had a little bit of time before they had to drive to the church. So, to keep my mind off of them waiting for my bridal party, they took a lot of detailed shots (the ring, shoes, wedding invitations), then came back to me and took shots of us getting ready (dressed, putting on shoes, etc). If a shot did not come out right the first time, it would be redone. The team wanted to make sure I would be satisfied. During family portraits at the church, if someone blinked or didn't smile, it would be retaken and not just skipped over hoping I wouldn't notice. After the ceremony, we went to the place Thanh recommended. The day was cold, so Nathan knew of the poses that would make us still look good, but also stay warm. He definately made sure that we were all comfortable. This team takes pride in what they do and if I had to do things over again, I wouldn't do anything different. I highly recommend to anyone!!
