For the record, all the other vendors I hired were wonderful and received a raving 5 star review from me. I couldn’t be more grateful for how special they made our wedding day.
Liltrisha, however, was unprofessional, minimal experience and ...
did not deliver on expectations. The list goes on and on.
She over promised and under delivered. My main reason for hiring a wedding planner was to help realize my vision of a Moroccan themed wedding. I do interior design work for my job and more than capable to have it done it on my own, however I did not have time to fully plan out the decor/ ambiance with 3 months to plan an entire wedding without losing focus and money at work.
Liltrisha promised she could take the legwork so it wouldn’t take my attention from my work and provide a vision board. That did not happen. Her services are best described as a Girl Friday, not a wedding planner.
Time is literally money from me as I was not able to take on projects at work and mostly focused on my wedding. I lost tens of thousands of dollars having to pick up the slack.
I had to come up with my own inspiration board and a three weeks before the wedding I found out I would not have a sweetheart table and other decor details. (Details, Liltrisha said she took care of. )Thankfully I personally contacted the florist and she did not let me down.
Liltrisha did not vet vendors and made me lose money and almost ruined the entertainment for our big day.
She did not properly coordinate the day of she was too worried about taking pictures and videos for social media and getting a free meal for her assistant/sister. The cake was cut too late when half the guests left. (It should have been cut right after dinner) My custom jacket and veil was left in the bridal suite. The veil I gave her for the photoshoot was left in her car and never used for the photoshoot. I had to ask her to get me my hairpiece for the reception. There was plenty more ball dropping the day of and weeks leading to the wedding.
Our big day turned out beautiful the decor, the entertainment the venue, the wedding party colors. Close friends and family witnessed me spending hours tirelessly stitched every last detail to make it feel like a $100,000 wedding. They made sure to let guests know it wasn’t Liltrisha who designed my wedding. The only thing Liltrisha did right was find the right florist who did an amazing job and made phone calls/emails that I asked her to make.
She sent me some very unprofessional texts when I kindly asked her to remove any photos of my wedding most importantly decor. She did unwillingly and still snuck in a post of my wedding on social media weeks later. Hence, why I’m making this review because she beyond unprofessional, she is disrespectful.
Wedding planning is a hobby for her, she has no certification. I would have gladly paid 3 times the amount for a true professional. The stress and loss of money working with Liltrisha was not worth it. If you want a Girl Friday than yes hire her, but if you want a legitimate wedding planner please save yourself the stress and hire someone with years of experience who can take feedback with grace.
