ine for the Sacramento area. Not only were their price points the best I found, the website itself is incredibly well designed. It gives you several photographers to choose from in your area, each with easily viewable reviews and galleries, to give you an idea of their individual shot styles, staging, contrasts, coloring, editing, etc. After selecting, you have a lot of time to create your plan for the day, including when and where and what you’d like them to shoot, and any special notes or shots, and even people you’d like focus on. You’re in contact with the photographer and Lily & Lime customer service (HJ’s emails were prompt and very helpful) both before and after the wedding. And our photographer, Meredith P., was phenomenal. She took a guerrilla approach to capture a ton of candid moments, as well as the traditional, more stage shots you would expect. Her whole shooting style complimented exactly what we wanted, and that was designed through conversations with her. She was amazing. The photos are delivered digitally in galleries you can download. You can also order prints or designs, right as you’re looking at them. That was very cool. We ultimately received over 2200 gorgeous, very well edited pictures. And I cannot stress how impressive this was: we were told to expect the pictures in around 6-8 weeks after the wedding, but we received out pictures in LESS THAN 3 WEEKS. Wow! Not only that, we received a “preview” package of pictures only a week after the wedding!

However, when we discovered Lily & Lime we were immediately impressed by their professionalism, prompt response times, and their willingness to work with us on such short notice. Everything from the initial communication, to scheduling, and the experience working with them on our wedding day was extremely positive. The photographers who came out on the day of the wedding were knowledgeable and skilled. Also, they were very friendly and easy to work with. I’m not a fan of being in front of a camera, and I always find posing for photos awkward, but our photographers made the experience very pleasant. They knew exactly what they were doing. They captured all of our most important moments perfectly. I now recommend Lily & Lime to everyone and I am happy that my wife and I were able to work with them. We initially booked them for our wedding. Two weeks before, we checked to see if the provided videographer was vaccinated. They informed us he was not. We then asked if they could find a videographer who was vaccinated, explaining we were requi...
ring all of our guests, wedding party, and vendors to be fully-vaccinated. They spent a few days looking but at that time no vaccinated videographers were available. We began discussing the potential of cancelling our contract so we could find someone on our own who was vaccinated. As we were in talks about cancelling, they informed us they had found someone. However, we had already secured a vaccinated videographer outside of Lily and Lime. We therefore notified them we still intended to move forward with canceling, which they agreed to do. They agreed to give us half our money back.
After writing about our initial experience here, we were reminded by Lily and Lime that the cancellation contract explicitly stated we were restricted by what we could share in any potential reviews. We therefore had to edit this current review.

Budget: The amount you pay is based on the time you want, not the name of the photographer. There was no guesswork in pricing. It was easy picking the photographer right for our wedding without being worried if they were within budget.
Turnaround time: I have heard from several people that have waited over a year to get their wedding photographs back. I feel with Lily and Lime there was a nice middle person to make sure we got what we needed in a timely manner.

CHOSING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS PROCESS. Do some online stalking of your photographer to make sure you like them beyond the information L&L gives you ( first name, picture, small portfolio). Cross reference the internet for that photographer’s name in the area you’re searching and review their individual reviews on the other wedding sites since most of L&L reviews are on L&L process and not the photographer you may or may not chose. The thing about L&L is that you don’t interact with your photographer until a week before the wedding. The week before the wedding is probably one the craziest weeks of your life, so my one area of improvement is to allow the couple to engage with the photographer a little sooner. Although I understand why it’s structured this way, it makes it a little more crazy if you don’t opt for engagement photos to interact with your photographer sooner.
The week of your wedding you'll receive your photographer's contact info and if they’re good (like ours was) they’ll reached out to you to introduce themselves and discuss the important parts of your wedding and certain shots you’d like to capture. We received our photos and video very promptly as promised and they’re wonderful. Overall we are pleased with the service, product, and our photographer, especially for the value and price.

We were given a discount code in an email from Lily & Lime which we used to buy a photography package for our wedding. We paid a deposit to get locked in and the website displayed two future payments we would have to make. When we logged in to ...
pay our second payment the amount due was higher by the tune of a few hundred dollars. I decided to reach out to them to find out what happened.
Four emails and two phone calls and they still haven't figured it out. After the first phone call they immediately admitted this was their mistake and assured me it would be solved in 1-2 business days. It has now been a week and a half since I reached out to Lily & Lime to have this corrected. When the time frame they give me goes by I have to be the one to reach back out to them to let them know they haven't fixed the issue; they do not follow up at all even when they assured me they would.
I've spoken to a few different representatives now and they're all very friendly, but seem to tell you they'll fix it just to get you off the phone so they can bump the problem down the line.
I have very little confidence they will be reliable on the day of our wedding and will be asking for a refund for the deposit we made. I feel like I've been very patient and understanding but Lily & Lime just does not seem capable of delivery a quality product.

Our one issue was that the second photographer that was supposed to take the groom and groomsmen to a different area for their photos before the ceremony so that my bridesmaids and I could get photos before the ceremony as well, had to be told multiple times to actually do so. I ended up making one of the groomsmen get my husband and the other groomsmen together to get the photos started. They didn't start taking the groomsmen photos until 45 minutes before the ceremony, which made everything before the ceremony late, and I was still outside when guests began to arrive.

I spoke to Monica a few days before our wedding to go over which shots were on our "must have" list, which weren't many. She knew our venue and the surrounding area so she gave some tips and we were set. The day of the wedding she showed up to the venue early to get some pictures of the venue itself, then pictures of me getting ready and with my parents and siblings, then my husband getting ready and with his parents and siblings. We did not do a first look and she did not push for it.
During the ceremony I didn't even know she was there. After the ceremony we headed out to take some pictures with me, the groom and the bridal party and she worked fast because we were losing light - we had a 6 pm ceremony in mid-October. Those pictures came out beautiful, and she really made our jewel tone colors pop.
We didn't even notice her during the reception, but she was all over the place, and easy to find when we did want a specific photo. Our guests actually commented on how much they liked her which was great to hear! I've never heard people rave about a photographer like they were raving about Monica. There are so many sweet photos from our reception, and silly photos, and photos full of pure joy. We could not have asked for a better collection of photos from our wedding day.
Afterwards, we got a sneak peek in about a week and a half - very exciting! We got our full portfolio maybe a week or two after that and are now just waiting a couple more weeks to be able to download them.
Lily & Lime won't be for everyone, namely those who want to meet and have a sit down with their photographer ahead of time, but they were perfect for us. The whole process was really easy and we would absolutely recommend them for future brides.

Lily & Lime seemed like it was too good to be true at first. I combed through all of the reviews to be sure they were a real company, and finally took the big leap by purchasing one of their base packages with a discount.
From start to finish...
they worked with me to ensure that I had exactly what I needed, that I knew about add-on options (without pushing them on me), that I was comfortable and happy with my photographer (who I was able to choose - a great feature offered by Lily & Lime which makes the process feel more personal), and that I loved my photos. They got the photos to me in record time as well; I thought I'd be waiting up to 8 weeks, but the preview came through within two weeks, the photos with watermarks a few days after that, and the downloads in less than a month!
Even though I used a discount, I never felt that they were treating me differently. I can't imagine how they could have made my experience any better - it was darn near perfection! There is no question in my mind that they are organized to a 'T' and that the service I was provided was tailored to me. I'm so thankful I took a shot on Lily & Lime - thank you for helping to make my wedding day a dream!

She kept my whole day on time and coordinated with the other vendors to make sure everything went smoothly. I usually hate getting my picture taken (I am plus sized) but I hardly noticed she was there unless we were doing formal pictures. The pics all turned out great and she did an amazing job at making me look flattering all day long. I would certainly hire her again for any future photography needs! Editing is turned back over to L&L after the wedding, and all of our pics turned out amazing! We received almost 1200 pictures (over 500 edited) and I am so happy with the volume of pictures Jennifer got for us. She didn't miss a moment and the edited pictures look lovely! I wish we would have been able to choose a videographer and see a couple full wedding videos to know what to expect or what we would want to include. I also wish we could have met or had contact with our photographer and videographer beforehand. In order to meet our photographer, we had to pay for an engagement session which my husband did not want at all. Instead of an engagement shoot, we just met with her the week before the wedding at the venue so we could walk around together and plan where we would take the pictures. It was a lifesaver but an expensive meeting!
The turnaround time was unbelieveable! We got our pictures back just a few weeks after our wedding and the video about a month after that. We were given a few edits which I really appreciated to get everything just right. We purchased the raw video footage which allowed us to add some priceless clips that weren't included in the original video. We were even able to customize the preview video!

The week of your wedding you'll receive your photographer's contact info. I'm not sure if it is part of the process or something that our photographer chose to do, but he reached out to us that day to introduce himself. We talked about the important parts of our wedding and certain shots we would like to capture. Within a week we received a sneak peek of our photos and told the full album would be ready within 6-8 weeks. Approximate 2 weeks later we received the full album.
There are a decent number of shots that we plan to include in our album. Unfortunately our photographer had a background in photo journalism rather than portrait photography so not all of our personal or family portraits came out as hoped.

We browsed photographers and found a wonderful woman named Leda with a great portfolio. Now the catch is that you don’t talk to your photographer until about a week before. But surprisingly, we didn’t feel stressed about that. We filled in all the information about our wedding online and Leda called a week before to confirm details. She was highly qualified and I knew we could trust her. She got over 700 photos of our day, edited them beautifully, and we received them within a month of our wedding. The negatives were released shortly after. Lily & Lime customer service responds to inquiries within 24 hours too so if you have a question they are always there.
Honestly, I didn’t worry one bit about the photos. Lily & Lime takes care of it all. Save yourself the money and the stress.

I found the billing very confusing. There was no confirmation and it forced me to split it up into separate bills. These two things led to them accidentally overcharging me. They are planning on sending me a refund eventually.
Lastly, the I found the pictures really unflattering. Some important ones were oddly taken from outside, through the window. I unexpectedly preferred the amateur photos from my family members on their phones.

Our pictures were amazing! Our photographers had us at ease the entire time and even had my husband laughing, and he hates taking pictures! They would randomly check in with us to see if there was anything they missed or we needed more of.
My only complaint would be that it took a month for us to get all of our pictures. We used them for thank you cards, and we would have really liked to have had them earlier so we could get them out in the mail.
