Lily Tapia Photography

our engagement shoot, as we were blessed to win her engagement giveaway. Our moment with her was memorable. I am a very shy person, but not once during our photoshoot did I feel shy around her. In fact, although it was our first time meeting her, during our photoshoot, it felt like she was more of a friend. Both my husband and I felt like we could be ourselves around her. Lily is so kind and has such a beautiful personality that she can make others feel comfortable around her. When we saw our engagement pictures, my husband and I were in love!!! Furthermore, after our experience with her, we knew we did not want anyone else to capture our wedding day but Lily. And we are so glad we had her. A week before the wedding, she came with us to walk through the venue and find the best spots for pictures. Lily went above and beyond. She made sure to capture my vision and more. When my husband and I saw our wedding pictures, we were completely in love with them! Seeing our pictures was like being taken back to our wedding day. Thanks to Lily, we have beautiful memories of our special day and of our close family and friends that we will always remember. Through our pictures, we were also able to get a glimpse of what my husband and I didn’t get to see the day of our wedding, which was something meaningful to us. Lily has an eye to detail. Everyone who sees our pictures always tells us how beautiful they look. Our experience with Lily was the best. She’s not only an amazing photographer, but an amazing person. 💛

have received our sneak peaks and we love them! Lily also speaks Spanish, which made the process during family photos so much smoother! Lily - We are so grateful to you!

speechless upon receiving our wedding photos. Every single photo is breathtaking and truly beyond what we could have ever imagined. We couldn’t stop smiling and laughing as we went through the pictures. It honestly brought us right back to those moments, as if our wedding was just yesterday. Lily has such an incredible talent, but what truly made her so special is her warmth and energy. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease from the very beginning — it was like spending the day with a dear friend who just happens to be a creative genius behind the camera! She brought out our genuine smiles and emotions effortlessly, and we had so much fun the entire time. We will forever be grateful that Lily was part of our wedding day and engagement shoot. We are blessed that she captured every moment so beautifully and for giving us these timeless memories to look back on when we’re old and gray. Her photos are treasures we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Lily is truly one of a kind, both as an artist and as a human being. We feel so lucky to have had her capture our love story and highly recommend her for your special day. ❤️

t only were the photos beautiful, she was so easy to work with and completely understood our vibe. She captured our love and the feeling behind the photos to make them feel like “us.” Her communication was also excellent, even with some last minute adjustments. We feel that she goes above and beyond for her clients and cannot recommend her enough!!

nsanely talented (we’re still completely obsessed with our photos!), but she also brought such a calming, joyful presence to the entire experience. Lily has an amazing ability to capture genuine, candid moments without ever making things feel forced or staged. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera — and even managed to make our dog look like a professional model! Her patience and kindness with our pup were just one more reason we fell in love with her work. Our wedding photos are more beautiful than we ever imagined. Every time we look through them, we’re transported back to all those special moments. She documented the emotion, laughter, and little details perfectly — it honestly feels like reliving the whole weekend. If you’re looking for a photographer who will go above and beyond, who is incredibly gifted, and who will treat you like a friend, Lily is your person. We’re beyond grateful she was part of our wedding story.

in the spur of the moment! They shot beautifully and we have images and moments we'll cherish forever. Thank you, Lily!

ut any worries. She provided the finished photos in a timely manner and now I enjoy seeing them on my walls daily. I HIGHLY recommend you hire Lily for any of your photography needs. Thank you for capturing the magic of our day!!

as available for our wedding date since we had been browsing other photographers but none compared to her work. We had the pleasure of having Lily take our engagement pictures, which was a great way for my fiancé and I to get comfortable in front of the camera. Despite this being our first time taking professional pictures, Lily's experience and bubbly personality made us feel comfortable and confident! When we received our engagement pictures we were stunned on how great we looked! We were in LOVE with them! Leaving us with that much more excitement for our wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Lily once again impressed us. She gave us the perfect amount of direction to stay on schedule but also enough liberty to take pictures with our loved ones throughout the night. Lily was also incredible with capturing my husband and I in every angle without us even noticing she was there. We received a sneak peek of our wedding pictures within 5 days of our wedding day and once again WE LOVED THEM!! . They're everything we wanted. The quality and clarity of the images and the emotions captured took us back to the day of. We can't wait to receive the rest. Lily, thank you so much for being part of our journey and for capturing life long memories that we can look back at. We look forward to working with you again in the near future!

g every moment. Her ability to blend into the background while still capturing candid, heartfelt moments was impressive. The photos are beautifully composed, and each shot tells a story that perfectly reflects the joy and love of our special day. We received countless compliments on the quality of the images, and we couldn’t be more excited for the final album. If you’re looking for a talented photographer who truly cares about her clients and their vision, we highly recommend her!

d part Audry Hepburn. Her talents lie not only in her photography skills but in how she makes everyone around her feel. Lily is the kind of person who makes you feel instantly comfortable, confident, and energized- exactly who you need by your side during such a long and action-packed day. She also deeply cares about her clients. We laughed together, cried together, and had so much fun together. Also, she goes way above and beyond her role as day-of photographer. Lily worked really closely with us to understand our unique style and vision for the day. She was there to answer any questions we had and worked hand-in-hand with our coordinator to make sure she understood all the little details of the day. All we can say is that we love Lily!!! We can’t stop looking at our photos. She perfectly captured our love, our friends/family, and the overall essence of the day. Thanks to Lily and her amazing talents, we will treasure these photos for our entire lives. So do yourself a favor and hire this incredible person. You will thank yourself for the rest of your life.

ding/vision, and did a venue walkthrough to make sure she had all of our photo spots picked out. The day-of, she was so great at directing us + our family members, making sure everyone looked great and felt comfortable. The photos turned out SO beautifully! They are bright and colorful, and they perfectly capture our special day. If we were doing it all over again, I would hire Lily again in a heartbeat! Hope we can work with her again in the future :)

well as her positive energy and vibrant, bubbly personality put us at ease while taking pictures. We had so much fun with her! She captured not only the beautiful details but the general love and joy of the whole day. She is detail-oriented, organized and also provided great vendor recommendations as well. She also did a great job handling any difficult family members and focusing on what we wanted as a couple. Thank you for everything Lily!

y uncomfortable and awkward) in front of the camera but she was able to capture the beautiful moments! She made the session feel fun and beautiful! Our wedding was hectic but she made sure to stay on schedule and she made it feel so beautiful when our photos were taken. She sticks to the schedule, detail oriented, and she truly loves what she does! Beautiful Pinterest worthy photos! Thank you Lily!

naging large family portrait sessions at events. Her style is fun, colorful and vibrant which I love for capturing the joy and energy of a wedding day.

ok her for our wedding. She is organized and will help you plan out the photos for the day. It was the best decision we made because her passion, expertise, and professionalism built a lot of trust and confidence that she would capture all the special moments of our wedding day. The photos came out perfect. We forgot to mention that we had set out a choreographed first dance and she still captured it perfectly. We can’t sing her praises enough for how much warmth and beauty she captures in our photos. Working with her creative, open, and supportive vision was a blessing and we highly recommend Lily to capture your day.

schedule the day of the wedding, and of course the final product. She is energetic, engaging, and a lot of fun. She made us feel comfortable and at ease. My family was very impressed with her work as well. I recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer - she's the best!

s visible with every shot.

with our engagement photos and we were fascinated with the outcome. As newbies with photo shoots, Lily really knew how to put us at ease. She also helped bring out that natural smile when being in the moment and knowing how to direct you to get the most gorgeous shots you could imagine. Lily is also bilingual and it really helped during our wedding when directing some of our family members. We love our sneak peek wedding photos and can’t wait to see the final outcome. She is also creating our photo album and can’t wait since all her work has been amazing! We love you Lily!

put you at ease, make you feel like the bosses you are and give you the support and good vibes you want on your wedding day. It also doesn't hurt that you'll be obsessed with all of your photos. Long story short: Hire Lily!

your wedding day and photos. From the moment Lily arrived at my bridal suite, she blended right in with my wedding party and I felt a sense of relief, now that Lily was there I knew things would be perfect. She makes you smile, laugh, cry, and really enjoy your wedding day, and all of that emotion shines through in her photos. One of the things I love the most about her photos is that they are so authentic, she captures each genuine moment and her work stands out from other photographers who look more posed and unnatural. She uses the lighting in every atmosphere to make sure you are glowing and catches all the beautiful candidate moments from your guests. Lily will keep things moving, take charge, and be assertive when needed, which is sooooo helpful on wedding day when things can feel a bit chaotic. She knows how to direct her subjects so that each photo comes out looking better than the next. I cannot recommend Lily enough! I had multiple guest comments after the wedding asking me where I met her, or if she was family, she blends in and feels like part of the wedding party so that you can truly enjoy your day and feel like you are hanging out with a friend. I cannot recommend Lily enough!! You will not regret booking you for your wedding, or any other photography session.

with the product. When initially researching photographers, we kept running into sample engagement and wedding pictures that seemed static, cold, and old fashioned. But Lily was a breath of fresh air. Her dynamic shooting style creates a vibrancy and warmth that absolutely jumps off the page and screen. One thing that definitely sets her apart from the rest is that she sought input from us every step away, working with us to make every single picture unique to the general vibe we were looking to capture. She is flexible, fun, and super nice. She had us laughing and hyped up between each snap. Lily showed the same attention to detail in both the engagement session in which it was just the two of us, and in the wedding, where she had to manage and direct dozens of rowdy family members and friends. The passion she has for her craft is reflected in her professionalism and in the quality of her work, and as a result, these two newlyweds highly, highly, highly recommend her for any event. Thank you, Lily, for capturing our special day like only you could!

e is your biggest hype man! She makes you feel so good while shooting!

not explain how beautiful they came out, I am obsessed! No doubt we chose the best photographer for our wedding!

n DTLA and at a bar in highland park. On the actual day of the wedding my family loved her and even after the wedding kept talking about how comfortable she made them feel in front of the camera. We recently got our photos back and I just loved all the moments she captured. In the whirlwind of the day there is so much you miss or in my case tiny details that I got fixated on and it was so heartwarming to see them captured. I look forward to using Lily for future photography needs!

with Lily over lavender ice cream and quickly realized she was the photographer for us. She's full of personality and has a passion for adventure, romance, and fun which shows in her incredible work. Lily shot our engagement, elopement, and wedding, and after receiving all the photos, we can wholeheartedly say how extortionary beautiful they are. To this day, we still get compliments from friends and family about how awesome and talented Lily is. The same can be said about working with her and our overall experience. Lily stuck with us through the changes and postponements and was so accommodating and flexible. She offered outfit inspirations, location suggestions, and was there to calm us down or hype us up throughout the stressful day. There were no awkward silences but rather a friend with a camera guiding us on the best posses full of natural light. There are a lot of wedding photographers out there but trust me when I say Lily is a true professional and not someone posing with an expensive camera, website, and Instagram page. Add Lily to your wedding team and get ready to "Pop the champagne! My friend," you have found your wedding photographer! Cheers!

tate but I think we will have to fly back to CA for every life event that needs to be photographed. Lily ran the show at our wedding. She made sure to capture everything we wanted. I was slightly nervous about our venue because while it was stunning, all of the photos I had seen just did not capture the beauty of it that we saw in person. Lilys' eye for light and detail made our photos the most beautiful.

delivered. We did a unique shoot in the desert and I am so glad we went with Lily because she knew the area and knew exactly where to go and when to go and our photos turned out perfect. She not only made us super comfortable, SHE WAS SO FUN and bubbly! I highly recommend working with Lily. I am obsessed with our photos and cannot thank her enough for everything.

of taking beautiful photos. She made myself and my fiancee feel at ease as she confidently (but gently) led us through out photo session. My fiancee who "doesn't like taking photos" could not stop raving about working with her and our session with her. She is also very fair which I appreciated so much as some vendor pricing can be a bit extreme but she will definitely provide you with quality work and service that is priceless. We've never paid for professional photos but are so glad we decided to invest in Lily. She even helped us coordinate colors/outfits and also worked so well with our fur babies. She was so patient with working with them and as fur parents, we could not have asked for more. So happy we found our photographer that will hopefully stick around to continue to capture precious moments in our lives. Book with Lily, you will not regret it!!

a family member and are so glad we did. From our first facetime call to the day we took our engagement pictures it was nothing but a pleasant experience. After our first call I automatically knew I wanted to book her. Her personality and presence made me love her instantly! She was very willing to answer any questions we had and helped us narrow down outfits that fit perfectly together for our engagement pictures. It was my fiancé and I’s first time taking professional photos and Lily made it so easy and comfortable for us. Our whole shoot was full of laughs, Disney music and a good time! Although we had to postpone our wedding, Lily was very flexible and able to accommodate us. Our engagement pictures came out amazing, it was hard to pick our favorites. We can’t wait to see the magic after she shoots our wedding!

e goes above and beyond to capture the PERFECT pictures, and to also make the process fun and memorable. I recommend her to everyone no matter what kind of event you are having. Thanks Lily!!

gan to plan for our engagement session, it all changed. Through her liveliness, and continuous laughter Lily was able to gift us the joy we had been missing while being engaged during these trying times. Each planning conversation we had ended with more excitement than the previous. Lily was always well prepared for our calls and in-between she would send over mood boards and ideas on color schemes and what I adored most about this entire thing is that Lily let us be us. She didn’t push for outfits that weren’t who we were much less force anything on us. Although we were the winning couple on her giveaway, she never made us feel any different than a paying client would be treated. We had our session at Joshua Tree in the middle July, and as you could guess, it was a hot one. Lily made sure we were as comfortable as could be. And like all things in nature, the unexpected happened. In the middle of switching poses I was stung by a bee...on my big toe and while it knocked the wind out of me Lily didn’t pressure me to get over it in order to use the remaining daylight. She allowed me recompose myself by using that time to take pictures of my fiancé which came out beautiful (and I’m not just saying that because he’s my future husband). The entire session was fun and easy going, she made us laugh so much our pictures reflect the happiness we wanted captured in our photos. Her work is so beautifully captured that upon receiving our photos, I couldn’t help but cry. Lily is a 10/10 person and photographer, she will make you feel like you’re the oldest of friends and after your session, you will be. She has that ability to let you bring your guard down and soak in her happiness.

the "lens" and "artistry" that I look for in a photographer. We were so confident that she would be the perfect person to capture our first major milestone as husband and wife. Needless to say, Lily completely exceeded all of our expectations. We were first impressed with her immediate professionalism and strong communication skills. She was extremely helpful over our phone meeting regarding our photo session. I was so happy to hear that she wanted to get to know us as a couple before capturing us on camera. Lily was interested in knowing our love story, which made us more confident in her work. During our meeting she also offered help with outfits because Lily believes in the importance of fashion in a photo shoot! I absolutely loved this about her! She also helped us pick two absolutely stunning locations in the city of Palos Verdes, CA. We were so happy that she knew of a special place that would place us on the cliffs of Palos Verdes, CA for our second location. A few weeks passed and it was finally the day of our photo shoot! As soon as we met up, we felt an immediate connection with Lily. Her personality, charisma and quirkiness made us feel like we had known her for years! We had the time of our life and shared so many laughs! (we were genuinely laughing is most of our photos!) Lily has such an amazing attention to detail that we have never experienced before from a photographer. Lily has amazing creative ideas for different shots. She really is all about capturing that special moment. Receiving our final edited photos was definitely an emotional experience. My husband and I really bonded at the absolute beauty of the photoshoot. So many of her photos literally took our breath away. Once the photoshoot was over and we returned back into our car, my husband and I looked at each other and we immediately knew that we had found OUR lifelong photographer. I want to emphasize that we had this thought before ever receiving our final photos. Needless to say that we HIGHLY recommend Lily to capture your special day/moment. I promise it will be an easy decision that you will not regret. It is a dream of ours to renew our vows in New Orleans, LA someday. You better believe that Lily will be coming with us. Thank you again Lily!

consult before booking and had such a good time, he was actually excited to do the engagement shoot! Both of our schedules are super busy and Lily was always so accommodating. The engagement shoot looked like something you see in a magazine, such beautiful photos! Fast forward to the wedding date- Lily had her work cut out for her! I had a HUGE bridal party and about 250 guests. Lily zoomed in and out capturing the most magical moments. She captured the love, the laughter, the energy. She truly was a blessing to work with and can't wait until my next life event so we an re-unite again! Thank you for being such an amazing and talented woman! It was a pleasure and I always look forward to seeing your new projects!

hoot for us about 5 years ago when our daughter turned 1 and we were in LOVE. Since then, Lily has captured our annual family photos. Fast track to Sept. 2018, my then Fiance and I chose our wedding date based on Lily's availabilty!! How crazy is that? I say it would've been crazier if we didn't choose her. Three weeks ago, Lily captured the second happiest day of our lives. Her patience for all the wedding choas is admirable and her positive energy is contagious. Lily comes so prepared and experienced as a wedding day comes closer. I appreciate her genuine effort of trying to get to know couples on a deeper level so that she is able to capture raw, candid photos. Our bridal party, my husband and I had so much fun with Lily as we did our group photos; they were so different than traditonal standing side by side photos. She is creative and willing to get dirty if it means capturing the perfect shot. I could not recommend Lily enough!! Hands down, the best investment we could've made because we get to live these magical moments over and over again for the next 50+ years!! Thank you again Lily for capturing this part of the WELSH love story =).

beforehand. She was an absolute joy to work with - my now-husband and I hate being the focus of photos, and she made us feel relaxed and comfortable enough to smile and laugh during our photos. The turnaround time was amazingly fast (I don't recall the exact time) but we got all of our photos very quickly and they all looked amazing! If we got married again, we would hire her again. My man of honor also used her for his wedding a year later and loved his photos too!

experience. Her personality lends itself to build immediate trust and comfort, which definitely comes through in the pictures. By the end of our wedding planning and the day itself, my husband and I were able to laugh and be silly around her like you would with an old friend or close family member. She has a very stylistic eye to provide stunning photos, but also can pick up on your quirks and tender moments to provide heartwarming candids. Even our families complimented her skill in directing photos with respect and a lot of fun, in both English and Spanish! Look through her site and social media - her work speaks for itself. I highly recommend Lily Tapia Photography - you will be happy you chose her!

quality would be outstanding. On my wedding day I was 5 months going on 6 months pregnant and let me tell you wearing a dress and heels was not the business. But Lily, my dear Lily made it all seem worth while. She never posed me in a awkward position or made me do anything I was uncomfortable doing. She kept me laughing the whole time and she made both of us ( my husband and myself ) feel like it was just ‘ our moments ‘. Even though all of our family and friends were watching us. I wanted the whole ‘ taking wedding pictures ‘ to be natural and she knew exactly what I meant by that. I knew Lily was good at her work because it was a passion of hers, to her it wasn’t a job it was a way of helping capture special moments. When Lily gave us our pictures I knew they were going to be great but when I finally saw them I was blown away. They were better than what I expected! Especially since I was pregnant and I was concerned about “my angles “ but all I have to say is that I looked amazing:) and the quality, and time she took to package everything meant a great deal to me. Lily you are the BOMB!<3

de our very small and inexpensive wedding look GRAND AND FULL OF LIFE! We chose the a la carte option for two hours which included photos of the elopement ceremony, family photos, and photos of me and my husband all around Long Beach. From the beginning, Lily was organized and punctual. I chose her based on the reviews on The Knot and I was not disappointed. I was out of the state during the entire wedding planning process and she basically took on a wedding planning role and helped me with everything! We had several FaceTimes about the details and I thought it was so amazing that she would ask the small questions. She really wanted to know our love story and our family dynamics so she could bring in those details on our big day. I was blown away by Lily’s energy before I even met her in person. On the big day, I showed up to the ceremony a little late and was pleasantly surprised to see Lily already taking action. She has so much personality and fit right in with my family members. I was really nervous about the family photos due to some family drama but she handled it like a BOSS and it was seamless. The best part of the whole day was running around 4th Street in Long Beach with my Husband and Lily and having a BLAST taking pictures! We are not normally photogenic and Lily made us look like supermodels! We got the preview pictures from our wedding the next day and were BLOWN AWAY! When we got the whole album we couldn’t believe it. Every single picture is vibrant and exactly what we envisioned. If you are on the fence about hiring Lily, JUSY DO IT! We can forever look back on our wedding day and be reminded of the joy and happiness we felt on that day. We are genuinely grateful we found her and feel like she was meant to be a part of our big day.

on. We had a complicated photographer situation with someone who was a guest at the wedding also wanting to shoot certain photos, and I was a little concerned about the set up. Lily was fantastic at navigating these dynamics with ease and sophistication and made sure to partner with our guest at certain times, while also capturing our special day. She has such a fun personality, her quirkiness makes everyone smile, and she just felt like a member of the bridal party making us laugh and smile. Plus, her photos are absolutely incredible and we are so happy with the photos we have already seen!!! Within 24 hours of our wedding, we already had some previews of the day. We can’t recommend her enough!

vailable and helps you with your wedding timeline if needed. -Her quality is beyond. I looked at serval other photographers and no one can match her quality -She poses you and makes you feel comfortable on camera. -If you are on the fence on this investment, please believe me it is worth it. The pictures she delivers are memories for life. -Our wedding was on 08/10/19 and she provided several sneak peeks, only two days after. We really appreciated that! -For ceremony purposes and bridal party pictures, we recommend you do the 2 photographer option so that there is enough coverage and more pictures can be taken faster. Room for improvement: -none! she was great!

ealth of information and recommendations about where we could take engagement photos and what to bring along. She was very intentional about getting to know us and understanding what we wanted from our photos, and she was so enthusiastic and encouraging as we posed and took candids--her energy really made the experience fun and stress-free. Furthermore, having a bilingual photographer was a huge benefit, as she was easily able to direct our families for photos and anticipate the important moments during our Mexican wedding traditions (even taking part in our Payaso de Rodeo line dance after finishing her pictures at our reception!). At the end of our wedding night, we told Lily that it truly felt like she was a friend who just happens to be an incredible photographer, rather than a vendor who showed up for a check. If you want someone to capture the joyful magic of your engagement and wedding, Lily is the perfect person for the job!

s flexible and quick on her feet. Her ability to read social cues is how she teased out so many beautiful shots of my awkward now-husband and I. We started out nervous and self-conscious at our engagement session, but Lily's energy was so contagious we ended up having such a fun day! One of the most obvious shows of her passion is when she would occasionally run over to us to show off the incredible photos. She is truly an artist, and though she only had seconds to capture each moment, she nailed them anyway. She is an amazing photographer and person- we found her scoping out our venue at the rehearsal and she even ended up dog-sitting for our friends during the rehearsal dinner. Lily was organized and professional from beginning to end; she made our wedding day easy on us, and has sent us a sneak peek of our wedding photos that are already getting oohs and ahhs. I second my friend's recommendation of Lily and fully expect her future clients to love her as much as we did.

tly connected and could tell she was so thrilled and honored to be our wedding photographer. The whole experience was amazing, we had multiple meetings and phone conversations to plan. Very easy to work with, professional, responsive and attentive but made sure we had fun and were comfortable. Lily and her assistant were able to capture our wedding so perfectly. Every picture, is something we will cherish forever which highlights her expertise in capturing weddings and attention to details. You won't regret hiring her and forever grateful to have the best wedding photos ever :)

and personalities. The engagement photos were beautiful and we received a few photos from the wedding; I cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures.

ng and her pictures absolutely breathtaking! All it took was one meeting we knew instantly Lily was the perfect fit for us. We secured her a year before our big day and by the day of my wedding Lily is considered part of the family. Lily is not only a great business woman with a great eye she’s also a darn good friend! Any question I had was answered she even helped me pick a outfit for my engagement shoot! During our engagement shoot lily made my husband and myself feel so extremely comfortable and confident and it showed in the pictures. I can’t even express how thankful I am for lily and all that she’s done for me during my wedding planning she even attended a meeting with my coordinator so that she can give some pointers and be in the know of what’s going on. How amazing is that! She helped create a timeline that allowed for us to capture the most important moments and still enjoy our wedding to the fullest! It’s now been a week since my wedding and the sneak peaks lily has sent me havme left me completely in awe! I cannot wait to see them all! To any bride looking for an amazing photographer with great style and just an all around joy to work with you must invest in Lily you won’t be let down! At the end of the day once the big day is over we are left with only memories and pictures and I am so happy to have Lily be the one behind the lens.
