Hiring Lily to photograph our wedding is one of the best decisions we made!! She is so sweet, professional, and talented! She took the time beforehand to talk with us about our wedding/vision, and did a venue walkthrough to make sure she had all of our photo spots picked out. The day-of, she was so great at directing us + our family members, making sure everyone looked great and felt comfortable. The photos turned out SO beautifully! They are bright and colorful, and they perfectly capture our special day. If we were doing it all over again, I would hire Lily again in a heartbeat! Hope we can work with her again in the future :)

Let me start off by saying, Lily is an extremely talented woman! Not only is she an excellent photographer, but she is an expert in making you feel comfortable and getting to enjoy your wedding day and photos. From the moment Lily arrived at my bridal suite, she blended right in with my wedding party and I felt a sense of relief, now that Lily was there I knew things would be perfect. She makes you smile, laugh, cry, and really enjoy your wedding day, and all of that emotion shines through in her photos. One of the things I love the most about her photos is that they are so authentic, she captures each genuine moment and her work stands out from other photographers who look more posed and unnatural. She uses the lighting in every atmosphere to make sure you are glowing and catches all the beautiful candidate moments from your guests. Lily will keep things moving, take charge, and be assertive when needed, which is sooooo helpful on wedding day when things can feel a bit chaotic. She knows how to direct her subjects so that each photo comes out looking better than the next. I cannot recommend Lily enough! I had multiple guest comments after the wedding asking me where I met her, or if she was family, she blends in and feels like part of the wedding party so that you can truly enjoy your day and feel like you are hanging out with a friend. Working with Lily was an absolute dream. She is so incredibly hardworking, professional, fun, and joyful! HIRE HER! Overall we had three sessions with Lily and we now live out of state but I think we will have to fly back to CA for every life event that needs to be photographed. Lily ran the show at our wedding. She made sure to capture everything we wanted. I was slightly nervous about our venue because while it was stunning, all of the photos I had seen just did not capture the beauty of it that we saw in person. We found Lily through a family member and are so glad we did. From our first facetime call to the day we took our engagement pictures it was nothing but a pleasant experience. After our first call I automatically knew I wanted to book her. Her personality and presence made me love her instantly! She was very willing to answer any questions we had and helped us narrow down outfits that fit perfectly together for our engagement pictures. Lily came into our lives via an IG giveaway, and let me tell you, she was God sent! Being a COVID bride has made wedding planning and being engaged...difficult but the moment we began to plan for our engagement session, it all changed. Through her liveliness, and continuous laughter Lily was able to gift us the joy we had been missing while being engaged during these trying times. Each planning conversation we had ended with more excitement than the previous. Lily was always well prepared for our calls and in-between she would send over mood boards and ideas on color schemes and what I adored most about this entire thing is that Lily let us be us. She didn’t push for outfits that weren’t who we were much less force anything on us. Although we were the winning couple on her giveaway, she never made us feel any different than a paying client would be treated. We had our session at Joshua Tree in the middle July, and as you could guess, it was a hot one. Lily made sure we were as comfortable as could be. And like all things in nature, the unexpected happened. In the middle of switching poses I was stung by a bee...on my big toe and while it knocked the wind out of me Lily didn’t pressure me to get over it in order to use the remaining daylight. She allowed me recompose myself by using that time to take pictures of my fiancé which came out beautiful (and I’m not just saying that because he’s my future husband). The entire session was fun and easy going, she made us laugh so much our pictures reflect the happiness we wanted captured in our photos. Her work is so beautifully captured that upon receiving our photos, I couldn’t help but cry. Lily is a 10/10 person and photographer, she will make you feel like you’re the oldest of friends and after your session, you will be. She has that ability to let you bring your guard down and soak in her happiness.

My husband and I hired Lily for a photoshoot in June celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary. I first found Lily on Instagram and was immediately enamored by her work. She has the "lens" and "artistry" that I look for in a photographer. We were so confident that she would be the perfect person to capture our first major milestone as husband and wife. Needless to say, Lily completely exceeded all of our expectations. We were first impressed with her immediate professionalism and strong communication skills. We were so happy that she knew of a special place that would place us on the cliffs of Palos Verdes, CA for our second location. A few weeks passed and it was finally the day of our photo shoot! As soon as we met up, we felt an immediate connection with Lily. Her personality, charisma and quirkiness made us feel like we had known her for years! We had the time of our life and shared so many laughs! (we were genuinely laughing is most of our photos!) Lily has such an amazing attention to detail that we have never experienced before from a photographer. Lily has amazing creative ideas for different shots. She really is all about capturing that special moment. Receiving our final edited photos was definitely an emotional experience. My husband and I really bonded at the absolute beauty of the photoshoot. So many of her photos literally took our breath away. Once the photoshoot was over and we returned back into our car, my husband and I looked at each other and we immediately knew that we had found OUR lifelong photographer. I want to emphasize that we had this thought before ever receiving our final photos. Needless to say that we HIGHLY recommend Lily to capture your special day/moment. I got married back in October. My husband is a DJ so when it came to vendors, he is very picky. On top of all this, he DOES not like taking photos. We went to meet with Lily for a consult before booking and had such a good time, he was actually excited to do the engagement shoot! Both of our schedules are super busy and Lily was always so accommodating. The engagement shoot looked like something you see in a magazine, such beautiful photos! Lily first did a photoshoot for us about 5 years ago when our daughter turned 1 and we were in LOVE. Since then, Lily has captured our annual family photos. Fast track to Sept. 2018, my then Fiance and I chose our wedding date based on Lily's availabilty!! How crazy is that? I say it would've been crazier if we didn't choose her. Three weeks ago, Lily captured the second happiest day of our lives. Her patience for all the wedding choas is admirable and her positive energy is contagious. Lily comes so prepared and experienced as a wedding day comes closer. I appreciate her genuine effort of trying to get to know couples on a deeper level so that she is able to capture raw, candid photos. We got married in Seattle, then had a reception for my family a week later in Southern California. Lily did the photography for the California reception, including family portraits beforehand. She was an absolute joy to work with - my now-husband and I hate being the focus of photos, and she made us feel relaxed and comfortable enough to smile and laugh during our photos. The turnaround time was amazingly fast (I don't recall the exact time) but we got all of our photos very quickly and they all looked amazing! If we got married again, we would hire her again. My man of honor also used her for his wedding a year later and loved his photos too!

So I’ve known Lily for almost 10 years now and I’ve always know she was amazing photographer also a caring and fun person. So when I asked her to photograph my wedding, I knew the quality would be outstanding. On my wedding day I was 5 months going on 6 months pregnant and let me tell you wearing a dress and heels was not the business. But Lily, my dear Lily made it all seem worth while. She never posed me in a awkward position or made me do anything I was uncomfortable doing. She kept me laughing the whole time and she made both of us ( my husband and myself ) feel like it was just ‘ our moments ‘. Even though all of our family and friends were watching us. I wanted the whole ‘ taking wedding pictures ‘ to be natural and she knew exactly what I meant by that. Hiring Lily as our photographer was one of the best decisions for our wedding!!! We planned a very small elopement to save money but still wanted photos to capture our day. Lily made our very small and inexpensive wedding look GRAND AND FULL OF LIFE! We chose the a la carte option for two hours which included photos of the elopement ceremony, family photos, and photos of me and my husband all around Long Beach. From the beginning, Lily was organized and punctual. I chose her based on the reviews on The Knot and I was not disappointed. I was out of the state during the entire wedding planning process and she basically took on a wedding planning role and helped me with everything! We had several FaceTimes about the details and I thought it was so amazing that she would ask the small questions. She really wanted to know our love story and our family dynamics so she could bring in those details on our big day. I was blown away by Lily’s energy before I even met her in person. On the big day, I showed up to the ceremony a little late and was pleasantly surprised to see Lily already taking action. She has so much personality and fit right in with my family members. I was really nervous about the family photos due to some family drama but she handled it like a BOSS and it was seamless. The best part of the whole day was running around 4th Street in Long Beach with my Husband and Lily and having a BLAST taking pictures! We are not normally photogenic and Lily made us look like supermodels! We got the preview pictures from our wedding the next day and were BLOWN AWAY! When we got the whole album we couldn’t believe it. Every single picture is vibrant and exactly what we envisioned. If you are on the fence about hiring Lily, JUSY DO IT! We can forever look back on our wedding day and be reminded of the joy and happiness we felt on that day. We are genuinely grateful we found her and feel like she was meant to be a part of our big day.

Lily was an absolute joy to work with. From the beginning of our experience, she wanted to FaceTime, get to know my fiancé and I’s love story, and really create a personal connection. We had a complicated photographer situation with someone who was a guest at the wedding also wanting to shoot certain photos, and I was a little concerned about the set up. Lily was fantastic at navigating these dynamics with ease and sophistication and made sure to partner with our guest at certain times, while also capturing our special day. She has such a fun personality, her quirkiness makes everyone smile, and she just felt like a member of the bridal party making us laugh and smile. Plus, her photos are absolutely incredible and we are so happy with the photos we have already seen!!! Within 24 hours of our wedding, we already had some previews of the day. It was amazing working with Lily from start to finish, and we recommend her wholeheartedly. She’s an excellent communicator, always replying promptly to emails and providing us a wealth of information and recommendations about where we could take engagement photos and what to bring along. She was very intentional about getting to know us and understanding what we wanted from our photos, and she was so enthusiastic and encouraging as we posed and took candids--her energy really made the experience fun and stress-free. I have absolutely no reservation about giving Lily Tapia the full five stars. She was highly recommended by a friend, and she lived up to the praise. Lily is a people-person; she is flexible and quick on her feet. Her ability to read social cues is how she teased out so many beautiful shots of my awkward now-husband and I. We started out nervous and self-conscious at our engagement session, but Lily's energy was so contagious we ended up having such a fun day! One of the most obvious shows of her passion is when she would occasionally run over to us to show off the incredible photos. She is truly an artist, and though she only had seconds to capture each moment, she nailed them anyway. She is an amazing photographer and person- we found her scoping out our venue at the rehearsal and she even ended up dog-sitting for our friends during the rehearsal dinner. Lily was organized and professional from beginning to end; she made our wedding day easy on us, and has sent us a sneak peek of our wedding photos that are already getting oohs and ahhs. I second my friend's recommendation of Lily and fully expect her future clients to love her as much as we did.

There are many great things I can say about Lily Tapia Photography. First being that I loved that she took the time to get to know my (now) husband and I to make our wedding pictures special to us. She knows what she’s doing and kept us on track. When we received our pictures I felt like she captured every moment we wanted and others we didn’t know we wanted. First of all I think Lily offers a great value with her packages. I was never going to have an engagement session, however it was included in several of her packages so we did it. The engagement shoot was a perfect practice for the wedding. For the wedding Lily was keeping us on time and she was encouraging and the photos were wonderful.

Lily Tapia is a great photographer who is very easy to work with and replies quickly to communication. My husband and I felt at ease working with her and she takes great care of her clients, as she did with us. Our photos also came out great for both our engagement and wedding. I first found Lily while searching through Instagram for a wedding photographer. I really loved her style and her photos came across very care-free and romantic. We first met Lily in a coffee shop to get to know one another, discuss our vision for our engagement session and wedding ideas and we just hit it off right away and we knew we had picked the right photographer. Lily absolutely guided us through this process while still allowing us to stay true to what we wanted. Our engagement photo shoot was so fun and the outcome was flawless! When it came time to setting up our wedding timeline Lily was always an email or text away. She was there to give me ideas for props for photos, what I should bring for my details etc. I really feel as though I gained a new friend after hiring Lily. During our wedding Lily captured moments I didn't know I would even need captured. I look at my wedding album and each time I am filled with tears of joy because of the priceless memories I now have. Lily and her team remained highly professional throughout our wedding day while still making sure we were having fun during our sessions. I met Lily through a mutual friend and I'm very glad I did! I was searching for a photographer to take pictures at a formal dinner that my husband and I hosted for our daughter and her new husband. When I contacted Lily via email she responded promptly and let me know that she was available to work at our event. Since we weren't having the usual wedding ceremony, etc. Lily asked a lot of questions so that she understood exactly what pictures we wanted taken at the dinner. It was really important for me to have photos taken of my elderly mom with her granddaughters, and Lily took lovely and intimate pictures with my mom relaxed and smiling and enjoying the moment. I will truly treasure these pictures for years to come. Lily was so sweet and easy to work with. Lily is simply amazing! We first met back in May of 2016 when she did our engagement pictures which we loved, so we booked her to be our wedding photographer this past June of 2017. We are completely in love with our wedding pictures, she does such an amazing job! She has a great attitude, very positive and friendly. We were referred to Lily from her cousin Rosalina. It was a very good referral and a great choice on our end. From start to finish she made it very easy for us. We met and greeted on the phone where she went through the packages she offered. Things went smoothly through the whole process. The package that we chose, had a free two hour engagement session at any location we wanted. She was even willing to make the drive to the location we chose. She was very informative and involved in our itinerary before and during our wedding. She made us feel comfortable throughout. We received our package last week and everything looks great. I cannot recommend Lily enough. When my husband and I were first engaged, I would scroll through beautifully photographed weddings for hours, dreaming about what my wedding would look like when captured in stills. I was determined to find a talented and determined photographer who had vision and excitement about their work. Well, a long journey of hunting around led me to Lily! Her cousin (who's also a photographer) recommended me to Lily. I booked her before looking through her work because I was worried she'd have others wanting her the same weekend. When I first scrolled through her Facebook and Instagram page I noticed that she didn't have many photos uploaded yet so I started to get nervous. But each week she slowly began to upload more and more beautiful photographs. I was so impressed by her work and dedication. I love how she photographed my wedding. She really captured the atmosphere and friendships in the room. I'll cherish her work always. She's not only a fantastic photographer, she's also a genuine person who brings a delightful air everywhere she goes. Lily is such a sweet person with a lot of passion and drive. Photographers are extremely attentive, professional, and amazing spirits. My husband and I are not very fond of taking pictures and the moments that were captured turned out amazing. We felt comfortable and had a good time overall and we genuinely cannot be happier with the quality of pictures that were taken!
