Lily Stitches is the best! The items and the excellence of the work were more than I ever expected!
I initially ordered 10 table runners; then two weeks before the wedding, I ordered ten more. Lilystitches accommodated! I had researched them ...on-line, and thought I knew what I to expect. When I received them, I was so happy to see that the quality of the Lilystitches table runners was far above the ones I had seen on line. Online, most table runners seemed to be one ply, long, plain rectangles. The ones I received from Lilystitches were made with high quality material, were lined (two sided), and had a tassels on the end of both corners. In addition to the exceptional handy work, there was an option to have them monogramed or embroidered with any color or design.
Months before the wedding, I sent to Lisa some of the shirts my father wore when he was alive. He loved to wear button-up dress shirts – always with a pocket for his pens and note cards. I asked her to make something special and personal with the material. She made a “Mother of the Bride” bag. She used the shirt material in conjunction with material in my daughter’s wedding colors, and also added personal stitching for my personal love of music. As a special treat, Lisa used the pockets from the beloved shirts to line the inside of the bag with pockets. As an extra special treat, the pockets were filled with safety pins, bobby pins, a sewing kit, Kleenex, gum, and the basic needs a mom may need for those last minute necessities that my daughter and her wedding party may need on her wedding day. The materials instantly reminded of my dad. I recognized the shirt material, and it made me cry. It was a beautiful way to have a keepsake for both the memory of my father and of my daughter’s special day. I continue to use it each day to carry my important books. It is sturdy enough to carry 4-5 books! Plus, the pockets on the inside now hold MY pens, highlighters and note cards. Each day, I use it and smile as I remember my dad - AND my daughter’s special day. Thank you Lilystitches!
