This is a very new hotel with extremely clean and well-maintained facilities. Although it is pet-friendly, the room was spotless, which I really appreciated. The room itself was beautiful, and the bathroom was especially comfortable and relaxin...

One feature we loved was the water stations located throughout the property, offering both still and sparkling water freely — a small but very thoughtful touch.
We stayed during the New Year holiday, which is understandably a very busy time. There were a few moments where things felt a bit slower than usual, such as a delayed check-in, longer wait times at the restaurant and bar, and one day when room service unfortunately did not arrive. Breakfast was enjoyable overall; while the menu remained mostly the same during our stay, items like the smoothies felt quite premium. On a couple of mornings, some breakfast items and the coffee machine were still being prepared shortly after breakfast hours began.
That said, the staff were consistently kind, polite, and hardworking. Many appeared to be new, but their positive attitude and genuine effort to take care of guests really stood out. Given the holiday rush, these felt understandable, and with time and experience, the service will only get better.
The gym was excellent, with plenty of modern equipment, and very enjoyable to use. The heated pool is a great feature even in winter, though it’s best to change into swimwear in your room beforehand, as there is no dedicated changing area nearby.
The food overall was very good — the pizza, salmon, and aged beef burger were all delicious. The New Year’s events were lively and fun, with DJs and musicians creating a great atmosphere.
Overall, the beautiful rooms, high-quality facilities, good food, and the staff’s positive energy made our stay very enjoyable. I would happily give this hotel five stars and look forward to returning as operations continue to settle and improve.

I stayed at the brand-new Limelight Mammoth this weekend—literally opened on Monday—and it already feels like a perfectly run ski-town gem. The design is fresh, modern, and cozy, and everything about the experience was so thoughtfully executed....
We booked one of the bunk rooms, which was adorable and surprisingly functional. Plenty of space, smart storage, comfy beds—basically ideal for families or groups rolling in with ski gear.
The free breakfast was genuinely lovely (not just a token buffet), and the valet driver service to the Main Lodge made getting to the mountain completely seamless. Huge perk on a busy weekend.
Après at the hotel is its own little scene: a great hot tub, heated pool, a solid gym, and a fun DJ-and-bar setup that feels elevated without trying too hard. Perfect way to unwind after stacking ski laps.
Service was excellent across the board—warm, helpful, and impressively dialed-in for a property that just opened, especially in a ski town where staffing and consistency can be hit or miss. The text concierge was on point.
Overall: truly a standout new addition to Mammoth. Would absolutely stay again.

we just had the best vacation at limelight. the location was close to the village and gondola. everything was clean and beautiful. but the best part was the service. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. they really made our stay...
so much more pleasant. I also want to give a big thank you to Shiva who works there. I had called the hotel a right before we got there to let them know it was my sons birthday, and if they can send up a cake that Sunday morning to surprise him. She told me she would go get it herself and some balloons. She brought it up that morning and sang happy birthday to my son with us. She put the cherry on top of our stay. We will be definitely coming back to this hotel.

oming—the bar and lounge area are perfect for unwinding.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Beyond the aesthetics, the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and truly hope this hotel sets a new standard for luxury at Mammoth Mountain. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a brand new place and overall really lovely, but they still have a few kinks to work out. Breakfast was good. Location is unbeatable -5 minute walk to the gondola. Room itself is really nice -perfect. Pool is warm around 80 degrees mayb...
e and then there are two hot tubs that are around 104 -great after skiing. Most of the employees are really nice, but there's a lot to be desired with some of the service right now.
Bathrooms in the lobby/restaurant have all kinds of problems. All but one of the stalls in the mens room were locked from the inside one morning. No water in the 1st floor lobby bathroom sinks two days in a row, both mens and womens - you can see the p-traps are missing. So you can flush the toilet, and then you get to put soap on your hands, realize there's not water in the sink and then wipe the soap off with paper towels. No signs up saying out of service or anything! Made me wonder if the Westin or locals are trying to sabotage them, but then other stuff happened...
Had to ask directions to the pool twice -there are signs telling you the general direction, but no indication to turn left and then go down a flight of stairs outside to get to the pool -it's totally hidden and they act like it's obvious. No pool towels once you get there, so you get to go back upstairs to go inside to ask for towels while they look at you confused. Also the gate to the pool isn't locked which is going to be awesome for the locals.
Took 20 minutes to close a bar tab because they misplaced our card -not a big deal. Our dinner at the restaurant went fine though and the food was pretty good.
Worst was the 'ski valet'. We asked no less than three employees how to retrieve our skis and they all said "they'll just be out there" so we stupidly assumed they would be at the valet, since they kept calling it the 'ski valet'. Only after sitting there 15 minutes in our ski gear did I finally realize that despite them repeatedly saying the 'ski valet' has them, actually the room marked 'ski storage' at the opposite end of the hotel has them. Why didn't they point us in the right direction?? And no apologies! They even glared at ME for being annoyed.
Also after running out of towels in our room (because we learned to bring the room towels to the pool) at 8pm I called housekeeping twice with no answer, and then called the front desk which sent me to a 'mailbox full', so I gave up and dried myself off with hand towels after my shower.
These are the kind of problems they have right now. It's a really nice place, but for this steep price it's a little insane the problems we encountered in the 48 hours we stayed there. I will be reading more reviews to ensure they correct these issues before staying there again.
