She also worked hard to ensure that our families felt included in the planning and on wedding day which was a really nice touch. On the day of the wedding, Khadija was a true professional, making sure that everything was taken care of so we could enjoy our day without any worries. I want to highlight her work on a last minute issue which was caused by to our venue not being able to fit a piano in the room we wanted it to be in. Khadija jumped on the case and we were able to get a different piano company who delivered within a few hours. The piano was a great success and worked perfectly as we had planned. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with Khadija's services. She made our wedding day unforgettable, and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner who truly cares about making your day special. Thank you, Khadija!

to be very familiar & comfortable with South Asian weddings. 2, Our planner had to be very comfortable with queer couples. When we met Khadija, we were immediately the most comfortable we’d felt with any other planners/coordinators we’d met with. Throughout 15 months of planning calls, Khadija guided us through the processes and checklists, and made sure we had options for other vendors that we were fully comfortable with. We were married on Nov 12, 2022, in what was going to be a fully outdoor, 150-person wedding in Nevada City, CA. Four days before our wedding, a totally unexpected snowstorm dropped four feet of snow, and we had to completely pivot everything we had planned for the past 15 months of weekly calls with Khadija. Khadija was an absolute rockstar. She was in constant communication with us – reaching out to additional vendors, the venue owner, the photographers, etc. Her calm & confident approach to a totally chaotic situation made all the difference. In the end, we got so many comments from guests about how beautifully everything came together, despite the wild circumstances. We were so grateful we had Khadija’s team guiding through the day and the weekend, and we cannot recommend her enough.

During the planning process, Khadija offered lots of expert advice and ideas and made sure roles were well defined and allocated for our wedding. She cared to make the clear decisions and helped deal with some tricky logistical pieces. She also connected with our vendors beforehand to introduce the team and work through details , ironing out any overlap or gaps. During our wedding, Khadija and her team were the thread that made everything seamless and were incredible liaisons between our guests, vendors and event venue. They operated like a stealth service, watching out for everything going smoothly and wonderfully, even guiding the party across the road to the reception venue as a parade. They effortlessly kept to the schedule but made it seem so fluid and delightful. They are spectacular!

to flake on us the week of our wedding, Khadija said "don't sweat this - I got it" and she found replacement help. The meeting cadence was great (a couple of calls early on, then weekly as we got closer) and she had a sound methodology/sequence of effort. She's done everything and seen everything, and having that expertise on our team made a huge difference. We had an unusual venue that made life more complicated and required creativity - and Khadija was up to the task. We are extremely grateful to her for all she did and would recommend her without reservation. We were definitely worried about the expense of a coordinator, but in the end it was money well spent to just solve problems and reduce the stress of an already stressful day.

So when we were finally able to have our wedding, the entire event had to be planned in the span of 2 months. While I don’t typically recommend planning a 200 person wedding in 2 months, Limelight productions made wedding planning a breeze. Khadija was extremely responsive and regularly communicated all updates. She took time to build a personal relationship with me to understand what I wanted from the wedding and with my family to understand what they were looking for, to plan the perfect event. Not knowing anything about vendors in the area, we found it extremely helpful when Khadija had a playbook for the best vendors in the area. Khadija jumped in with a very organized plan and helped guide me and my family through the planning process. While she originally was only helping to plan our reception, 2 weeks before our wedding week (due to other complication !!! ), her team also jumped onboard to help plan and coordinate the wedding as well! Since having a traditional kerala hindu wedding was extremely important for my family, Khadija thoroughly researched our traditions and flawlessly executed our entire wedding. We had family in India think that the wedding actually happened in India because of how traditionally everything came together. Cannot praise Limelight productions enough! Limelight team. From the beginning, Khadija made the experience so fun and painless with weekly check-ins, a very thorough spreadsheet, and one-on-one correspondence with our vendors. She really took the time to understand our priorities, the feel of the wedding, and reassured us that we were even ahead of schedule. Once we reached the weekend wedding, I was completely overwhelmed with all of the people around and activities ahead, but knew I was in such good hands with Khadija and her team! They met us for a rehearsal the day before the wedding and were so patient and detail-oriented with the entire rehearsal process. The day of the wedding, I knew I just needed to show up and follow directions and that everything would go smoothly. And it did! The day was so amazing, beyond what I could have imagined, all because Limelight was there to work directly with the vendors, set up décor, and keep us on schedule. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

VID-19 pandemic and the ever-changing city restrictions and regulations. My husband and I live out of state and Khadija did an excellent job coordinating out 150-guest wedding at the San Jose City Rotunda. The venue itself had not hosted many weddings prior to ours but Khadija and her team transformed the space into the most beautiful Indian - American fusion wedding. Khadija did an excellent job keeping us on track with weekly phone calls and kept an organized spreadsheet for literally everything. She also helped secure basically all of the other vendors involved in our wedding from catering to henna. I definitey recommend Limelight Productions for your future event and will surely refer our friends and family to her for future weddings!

In addition, we really appreciated her flexibility - she was able to work with our chaotic schedules (we both work in the medical field) and met with us in the evenings and on weekends. We met Khadija in the winter of 2019 with original plans for a wedding in June 2020, but then rescheduled for October 2020 and then finally for July 2021. After working together for 2.5 years, Khadija is like family to us. Our Indian fusion wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. Many of our guests commented that they were amazed by how much fun we were having at our wedding, because couples often feel stressed on their wedding day. I'm so thankful to Khadija and Gabriela who basically came in less than 2 weeks before my new wedding date and helped take control of all logistics and communication with our vendors, so that my family and I can just simply enjoy the events. Given the pandemic with constantly changing plans, tiers and working with the restrictions she made the planning aspect extremely smooth and stress free despite the THREE attempts we had to pull our wedding off. From our first conversation transitioning from our original planner I knew Khadija was on top of her game- EXTREMELY organized ( Spreadsheets galore on EVERY aspect which was super helpful) flexible and knowledgeable about her field- If I had a question or sudden change she was quick to make it happen/ reach out to my vendors. Khadija is super down to earth given the nature of her job, very sweet and gets the job done . Despite everything- the pandemic, my wife’s 5000 questions calling and texting at odd hours of the morning or at night Khadija never hesitated to meet my concerns/ needs and mind you all while being pregnant and giving birth 2 weeks before our wedding day! If that isn't incentive enough to prove her dedication I don't know what is! Getting ready on the day of- one of the crucial buttons at the top of my wife’s wedding dress popped off and of course khadija ran to the drug store to grab a sewing kit last minute- as someone very attentive to detail I didn't stress as I knew Khadija would be on top of it which she was! hired Limelight Productions to help plan our July 2019 wedding + Garba (sangeet). Khadija was absolutely amazing: very organized, professional, and most of all really fun to work with. I would genuinely look forward to our conference calls. She was also experienced in all types of weddings/events which was important to us because we were a multi-cultural couple and were doing things a bit differently (groom is Indian/Hindu, bride is American/Christian). I was most impressed with Khadija's coordination day-of, and month-of the wedding. She completely handled following up with all vendors, setting up last minute decor, and even helped print some signs. Also at the wedding she was 100% on point the entire night and everything was perfectly on schedule! Limelight Productions offered a number of packages - full wedding planning (+~4 months out ?) or short-term planning (-~4 months out?). We chose the longer term package because we were living cross-country from Bay Area and were worried about ability to find vendors on our own. Ultimately I think we personally should have utilized Limelight for the shorter contract because I was able to be more hands-on than originally anticipated, but had I been hands off I am very confident Khadija and team would have gladly swooped in to support more. It would be important to firmly express your budget limits if this were the case though, as Bay Area wedding costs do add up very quickly.

Her thorough spreadsheets and backup plans will give you peace of mind. Some of our vendors didn't deliver what we expected and Khadija managed every issue for us; none of the guests noticed a thing. We didn't book a coordinator for our wedding ceremony or our pre-wedding event and they were not nearly as smooth or stress free. Khadija is very familiar with the nuances of South Asian weddings. If you're looking for a wedding coordinator, definitely hire Khadija. She was our best vendor.

ur friend's recommendation we decided to reach out to her for our own (May 2019)! We weren't originally looking into a coordinator but things started getting stressful because of unexpected (and unusual) factors. Thankfully for us she had a cancellation (unfortunately for the other couple) and was able to do our wedding!! Hiring Limelight Productions was the best decision we made in regards to our wedding!! My husband and I have zero regrets and would absolutely do it again, but even earlier!! The entire planning process felt so easy once Khadija started working with us! Although we had always lived in the Bay Area, my husband was relocated for work a month after we got engaged so we were planning a San Francisco wedding from Ohio. Khadija had no issues making the time zones work for our communication!! She made sure to know all the details necessary for a smooth day beforehand and accepted a very obscure and difficult task of keeping a specific immediate family member from my husband and I on our wedding day to ensure we could enjoy our day. She took the brunt of all of that family member's anger at the rehearsal and on the wedding day, including that person's friends also giving her attitude. Even more importantly than that, she handled it with so much grace!! She didn't bat an eye at the rude remarks or hesitate to put herself in the line of fire to make sure we were okay! From the outside you would have never known there was any hostility! We had a donut wall for our dessert that people started grabbing early (ugh at our guests) and she quickly found our dessert people to use something as a blockade for the dessert until it was time. I'm sure there were things that went wrong that day that I don't even know about because Khadija was totally on top of it all!! Talking with her when planning felt like talking to a friend! She really goes above and beyond to make you feel totally comfortable! I had no concerns putting my trust in her from the beginning and everything the day of our wedding went absolutely perfectly!! Khadija was a HUGE factor in making our day the best day ever!! My husband and I both are eternally grateful for all Khadija did and agree that hiring Limelight was worth every single penny!!

onth was hard, not only with the sudden passing of my grandmother, but we had multiple problems in the last two weeks before our big day. I would have been in total meltdown mode without James taking charge. He fixed several communication problems we had between vendors, including one that led us to have to change all our table rentals and seating arrangements at the last minute. I found myself emailing James multiple times a day, but he always found a fast solution for every issue. In addition to all the planning, they made the day of run seamlessly. I was originally apprehensive about having our ceremony and reception at two different venues, but they handled everything perfectly. My biggest concern was the overlap of setting up our reception and having our ceremony, but they made everything work fantastically. James guided us through the whole day with ease and Khadija set up our reception beautifully. We also worked with their partner Safia, who made our gorgeous 3-tiered wedding cake for an amazing price. Our whole day was amazing and easy thanks to their team. We truly would not have survived wedding planning without them. We cannot recommend them enough!
