Service has significantly declined. After moving out of the area, she appears to be trying to squeeze part-time availability into a full-time schedule. Client care has diminished, ...
and follow-through is poor.
I had a BAD experience here. I called to make an appointment with a stylist who knows about hair color. They put me with Kevin. My natural hair is an ash brown. I had dyed my hair ...
medium brown with a gloss months before going to the salon so my hair looked brown. I wanted to go back to a lighter brown and do some very subtle lights and the ends just to add some dimension to my hair. I showed him 5-6 pictures of what I wanted. Just some random lights so that when I move my hair you could see some lights. So he tells me that he can do something similar so I trusted him. He first used a treatment to get rid of the gloss. After the shampooing, my hair lighten and looked more like my natural hair. However, my ends were still dark. He said that my gloss was prob Henna but I have the box in my house and it is definitely not Henna. It was a glossing cream from Argan Oil. He told me it wasn't that big of a deal. Instead of dying my hair first, he told me he had a different technique and decided to bleach my hair first and then dye the rest of my hair. I thought it was a messy way of doing it but I don't know anything about color so I didn't think too much of it. The first thing that went wrong: instead of doing subtle lights, he bleached strands from the root...one after another...when I clearly stated that I wanted very random and subtle lights from the middle to the ends. Then he bleached for too long! When he opened the foils my hair was yellow...literally. He told me he thought it looked pretty but I'm pretty sure he just didn't want to admit it was bad. I told him I didn't like it so he went to the back to prepare a toner. When he started applying the toner, I noticed he wasn't really isolating the highlighted strands but applying it to the crown randomly. At this point I knew I was not gonna like it but the hair was already bleached so I was just hoping it would look better after the toner. After he was done, he blow dried my hair. He does know how to blow dry, so my hair looked pretty decent at the moment. I wasn't completely happy but I was willing to give it a chance. I was charged $235 which I think is a total ripoff. I was charged the $35 for the toner he used to tone down my hair (it was his fault for lightening it too much in the first place!). Next day I noticed the disaster he had done to my hair so I called again and asked for someone else to fix it. My hair was orange at the base, dark at the ends, with super brassy highlights. Three weeks later another stylist darkened my hair, and I was charged an additional $35 that day. Basically the biggest ripoff. So yeah I would never ever recommend this place to anyone.
Linda is an amazing artist! She made me look and feel amazing with my hair and makeup.
