Linde Lou Photography

Linde photographed our wedding on the evening of 6/21/2014 at Hemingway's Island Grill. We were unable to do an engagement shoot as we lived out of state because of our military status. We hired her January 2014. We had a friend recommend her who had Linde for her own wedding and her pictures turned out well. Communication was great and we thought highly of Linde and her professionalism until we got our pictures back. We asked upon hire for an additional photographer because we did not want anything left out. Her and the second shooter captured our day from the time we got ready about 3pm until our reception ended at 11pm and spent $1650 plus tip for her services. That was a big chunk of our budget because we wanted to ensure the day was captured well. In fact, we asked guests not to take photos until open dancing so they could enjoy the moment, that's how confident we were.Thank goodness they didn't all listen and that we hired a videographer who was able to get still shots from his videos. For those eight hours we received only 410 photos, the last ten which we were given only because we asked for more since we were so disappointed. I am no expert but I have taken a class on photography that led one of my photos to be on display at PMOA juried member exhibit and friends and family who are photographers and all are in agreement that Linde had several quality issues that should not have happened with a professional. Our problems with the photos were that many of the ceremony pictures were overexposed or white washed even after viewing on multiple computers and printed, there were issues with distractions/eye sores in the background such as volleyball nets and boats that could have been avoided had she moved, asked the subjects to move, or had zoomed in, most of the ceremony photos were of the back of my husband's head, there were only a couple of just my husband in his suit and just me in my dress, we only have three posed shots together after the ceremony where we aren't kissing,there are photos I could remember taking with guests but were not given, and many of the pictures were taken from far away where distractions are visible (while cropping is possible, it would not have the same effect of the original shot being zoomed in by the camera). Linde also posted our "first look" photos on Facebook, photos that were very personal and intimate to us as my husband was very moved and emotional and we would have only liked to share between ourselves and family. When we discussed the quality issues with Linde after receiving them, we did not ask for a refund, we simply asked for more photos even if they were unedited. She could have gone a lot further in our request instead of trying to convince us it was our computer and we were overlooking the photos we had. Linde then sent us ten more photos, about half of our cake and another three of us with the same guest taking selfies with his phone. I was not expecting perfection but I did expect her to react more professionally to the situation. We were her first disappointed customers and it was obvious because she took no responsibility whatsoever. The whole situation still makes us upset but mostly how she reacted and we only have three of her photos printed, only one of my husband and I. It has taken almost a year to write this review in hopes we'd feel differently over time but to no avail. Our first anniversary celebration is unfortunately including a photography session with someone else.
