Lindsay Collette

Listen. I love Lindsay and her work so much I booked her for both of my weddings and engagement sessions (that's a different story). I'm struggling to come up with a better compliment than desperately wanting to go through the experience of a wedding with a vendor more than once. I believe Lindsay's stunning work speaks for itself, so I won't waste my review characters telling you what you can appreciate with your own eyes when you scroll through her galleries. Instead, I'll tell you a little bit about why I love working with Lindsay so much. In order for her to "tell a story" with your photos, she gets to know you and your partner as individuals and as a couple. I think you can really see that in her work; and you can definitely feel it in her blog posts. With Linsday you will feel heard, seen, and understood in all the best ways by someone that is there to capture your most intimate and important milestones. Lindsay is detail oriented and attentive, and knows her craft. She will tell you the hand on your hip looks stupid, and you will thank her later, because she will flatter you with her lens without you needing to think about it. She asks what you want to capture, what is important to you, what you might be insecure about, and goes out of her way to make all of it work. I am incredibly awkward and hard to photograph, and my partner is very particular about being photographed. Linsday made it fun and natural each and every session. She will capture those inbetween, candid moments that turn out to be your favorite treasures, and she'll also get you one or two classics for grandma's fridge if you like. You will be showered with endless compliments about how gorgeous each shot is. Lindsay is always learning, always experimenting, always getting better. She has a definite style and brand, and it doesn't look like your average cookie-cutter wedding photographer set. She's not going to go through the motions with you. She is smart and reliable with her equipment, and is also brave enough to experiment (while not at your expense). If you have the pleasure of working with her and her husband Logan, you'll find that you can't even tell it was two photographers; they are seamless and a great team. All that to say, nothing about my experiences with Lindsay have felt transactional. She's got a talent you can't find anywhere else, at a competitive rate, with a work ethic and personality you simply can't purchase. If you're on the fence, don't be. Hire her for any occasion, and you will want her there for the remainder of your life's important moments.
