Lindsay Straw

th Irish folk music b it that was just the start of her talent. Lindsay played during our ceremony was such a perfect addition. She kept our guests entertained and happy while everyone sat, played so beautifully during the procession and recession, and even played light instrumental music during “downtime” of our ceremony when no one was speaking. Her and Jordan then played at cocktail hour and were such a hit! All our guests loved their music and they created such a unique and positive atmosphere. Could not recommend more highly! Working with Lindsay was a pleasure during a sometimes stressful time!

nded!

usic with very little effort. It was a beautiful ceremony. They also played during the cocktail hour at our reception which added a unique touch to our evening. They play a wide variety of music which was perfect. Lindsay was helpful and kind and our overall experience was excellent. We definitely recommend them for any event.

is something for everyone! We received so many compliments about her singing, she adds a unique and personalized touch to every wedding she performs at. She is incredibly easy to work with, I highly recommend her to all!

for us at a cocktail hour, which included our first dance as a married couple as well as our first dance with our children. We asked her to learn a Tom Petty song for that first dance, and her interpretation of it was flawless. In addition to what she added to the day, she was super professional and responsive before hand, taking care of all of the details that were needed to make it all work without us having to do any more than necessary to make sure that we were happy. We highly recommend her!

wedding. So many of our guests came up to us during our reception and after the wedding to comment on how wonderful Lindsay was and we couldn't agree more! She was also incredibly professional and so easy to work with. We went to see her perform at the Arlington Farmer's Market and met with her after to discuss booking her. She was so helpful and her music was so lovely at the farmer's market that we knew we had to book her. We are so happy that we did! She made the whole process seamless and it was fabulous not to have to worry about the music at all. Our wedding was also outside on the hottest day of the year and Lindsay didn't bat an eye! We can't recommend her highly enough and would strongly encourage anyone to book her for their event.

our ceremony. She was professional, organized, flexible, approachable, responsive, helpful, and had a beautiful voice and guitar skill. The live guitar gave a personal feel that we wanted. She does offer other options. My husband and I like different types of music. Her music selection was extensive. Our ceremony had everything from the Beatles, "Here Comes the Sun," La Vie en Rose" to Foo Fighters' "Everlong." We had a number of guests complimenting on Lindsay's performance. Selecting her was one of our best choices in our wedding planning process.

ail hour with a DJ for the reception. Everything transitioned so smoothly from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend her-plus she is super affordable. She is easy going which made the process easy.

rmance was everything we hoped it would be. We booked her after seeing her perform at a friend's wedding, and we immediately knew she was exactly what we wanted. She was very easy to work with and very professional. We cannot recommend her enough.

managing a playlist we created for "dj lite" services. She has a beautiful voice and was so laid back and flexible in working with us as we figured out what we wanted the music to be. She arrived on time and set up everything and the music was perfect and created the most peaceful vibe for our outdoor wedding. I would work with her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her!

ing we heard from her was absolutely fantastic. She is both a talented singer and guitarist and has an enormous repertoire, so we were able to choose exactly what we wanted for the wedding. Lindsay was very accommodating throughout the planning process, including playing an instrumental version of one of her songs that one of our bridesmaids, a professional singer, performed to, even sending that bridesmaid an altered recording in advance for practice. Lindsay was a delight to work with and we highly recommend her!

atmosphere we wanted. We went with Lindsay based on her great reviews and could not have been happier with the experience - not only is she an amazing performer with a beautiful voice, she is a consummate professional who is organized, responsive, and attentive to all the details that go into making a wedding a success! We really appreciated her broad song list repertoire, that she had her own A/V equipment and setup options (she ended up bringing battery-powered speakers and two wireless mics for the outdoor beach ceremony where electrical outlets weren't available, which also meant amplifying the officiant / grooms was taken care of), that she took special requests and learned a song my mother-in-law wanted for the ceremony, and that she was also willing to perform some light emceeing / DJ duties during the reception to help move things along. Best of all, she went the extra mile and worked with me beforehand on providing accompaniment so I could serenade my husband as a surprise. The day of the wedding, she arrived early to make sure everything was set up properly, and we never had to worry about whether she knew her cues or where she had to be next, and things went off without a hitch! Several of our guests came up to us afterward to comment on how beautiful the music was during the ceremony and reception, and how calm and peaceful they felt hearing Lindsay's wonderful guitar-playing and singing on the beach. I can't recommend working with her highly enough and am so grateful she was available to be part of our special day!

ur Cocktail Hour (We aren’t really ‘harp music’ people). After some searching at various Entertainment sites, we found Lindsay Straw on Gigmasters.com. We loved her acoustic guitar and beautiful voice. She also has her own website for her music and offerings https://www.lindsaystraw.com/. With both of us being Irish, her wide selection of Classical, Pop/Folk/Standards, and Celtic music really checked all the boxes. Lucky for us, she had our date open, so we set up a phone call with her and walked through what we were looking for, and she shared how she normally handles things. Here website has a LONG list of songs to choose from. She said we could make a list for her to pull from, or give her some guidelines and she’ll fill in what seems to be working best. We also opted to ‘upgrade’ and have her musical partner Jordan Santiago join her on mandolin & violin. Well, we can’t tell you what rave reviews our guests gave us about both the Ceremony music and the selections for Cocktail hour. PLUS, they were able to cover a 15 min delay/panic as we lost the binder we had all of our readings in for the Ceremony (life savers)! If you want something different than the usual harp, or string quartet, or even DJ music, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone as talented, charming and versatile as Lindsay. She’ll make your special day THAT much more special. Rob & Bob, April 6, 2019

Mass and we wanted a folk acoustic feel, which they can play perfectly. Lindsay and Jordan learned our favorite song for our first dance, and had everyone in tears for when we danced with our dads. She was so helpful in recommending songs for specific moments of our wedding and very accommodating and flexible when setting timelines for our day. From the beginning Lindsay was very professional and quick to respond to emails. One thing we were most impressed with was her ability to get to know us and what we wanted for music on our wedding day. They played a good balance of crowd favorites and their original songs, which gave our reception a unique and personal touch. They were naturals at feeling out the vibe of our venue/guests and setting the tone that we wanted. Lindsay and Jordan were a perfect fit for our reception and we are so happy to have booked them. The music was unique and loved by all of our guests. People were up dancing and sitting, enjoying the lovely music. As a same-sex couple, Lindsay and Jordan were a safe and comfortable option for us.

ent out of her way to learn two different songs for our ceremony which made it so much more personal and special. Lindsay is truly gifted and having her play at our ceremony made all the difference!

g Irish family, and she was able to give us great suggestions for traditional music that fit our theme. Her voice and guitar skills are hard to beat! She did a custom version of the Ed Sherran Galway Girl for us, and she knocked it out of the park! We even had a little moment where a bridesmaids fainted and she was calm, cool, and collected and still played through the whole thing! Thank you Lindsay!!

d tons of compliments after from guest on how great the cocktail hour music was! Definitely recommend booking!

ses, offering us suggestions and samples of her music to help us decide on the perfect playlist. We had our wedding pretty far away from where she usually plays, and we are so grateful she was able to make the trip because our ceremony would not have been the same without her (& Jordan)! Her version of "A Thousand Years" while my father and I walked down the aisle had a majority of our guests in tears. Neither my husband nor I got to even see her or meet her in person that day amidst all the business, but we heard her magical sound and could not have been happier! Thank you Lindsay! :)

ick to respond. Her knowledge of music and weddings was so helpful in planning our ceremony. She sent us a recording of one of our ceremony songs before our wedding and I literally cried it was so beautiful! I couldn’t recomm be Lindsay enough!!!

ile along in advance just to make sure it was what we wanted), was on time, professional through out our planning process, was incredibly responsive with all of my neurotic questions, and performed beautifully the day of. Her amps are also battery powered, which was so great for our outdoor wedding - no permitting needed! She also had an extra cord-less mic available for our officiant, which was incredibly helpful. Can't say enough kind things and so glad we went with Lindsay!

g the songs we wanted and the schedule for the day. She also asked all the right questions in preparation and it really made us feel at ease that everything would go well on the big day (e.g. if we needed an amp/mic for the venue). She also checked in the few days leading up to the wedding so we knew she'd be there at the right time. At the wedding, Lindsay arrived early to set up and was ready to play soon as our guests started to arrive. She was very cheerful and professional. Not to mention her voice was really beautiful and set the perfect mood for the day! Would definitely work with Lindsay again and recommend her highly to anyone else looking for a musician for their wedding/event.

nd foremost, she has the most beautiful and enchanting voice (we heard a sample and were hooked immediately). She was very easy to work with and so helpful throughout the entire process. Lindsay worked with us early on to get an idea of how she would best fit in and what we were looking for in terms of music choices. She provided guidance for the different songs that play during the ceremony and then what type of music she would play at the cocktail hour. We had so many guests come up to us asking about Lindsay and saying how wonderful she was and that she really made the ceremony special. I would recommend her over and over again and we look forward to seeing her at some of the other shows she plays around us! Thank you Lindsay!

yle. Family and friends all made sure to tell us how beautiful the music was.

nd provides a lengthy song list. She was very easy to work with, responded in a timely fashion and provided great song advice. Of all the pieces of our wedding we got the most compliments on her beautiful performance. Her music made the day that much more memorable for us.

er music was. She is such an incredible artist. Check out her website and see for yourself. She plays so many different types of music from Irish folk to classic rock. Lindsay, Thank you so much! Your music is beautiful!

Leading up to the event, she was super easy to work with, always emailed back right away, and we even FaceTimed! Plus, she was willing to learn a special mashup for us. Overall, 10/10. If you want to make your ceremony, or any other moment even more special on your big day, hire Lindsay.

ly beautiful in person. On the day of our wedding, we had countless guests come up to us to ask where we found her and compliment her music. Beyond being highly talented, Lindsay was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful from the second I contacted her. She also rented her speakers out to us for the dancing portion of the evening for an incredibly reasonable price, and stuck around to help out with them, which was an amazing deal for us as we were trying to make our wedding work on a budget. She responded graciously to every one of my dozens of emails/questions about the logistics leading up to the day. As talented as Lindsay is, she could be charging three times as much as she does (maybe I shouldn't write that), and I would encourage anyone to book her for their wedding or other event!!

one commented about how wonderful the ceremony music was, and Lindsay made everything easy, from booking to payment. I would rehire her in a heartbeat.

eremony. She was kind enough to learn the song that I wanted to walk down the isle to and played 10 amazing song choices for our guests while they were arriving to the ceremony. Everyone had nothing but wonderful things to say about her and how beautiful her voice is! She was prompt to response to my e-mails and it was very easy to communicate with her. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and made our ceremony exceptionally beautiful. She is very organized and provided amplification for herself as well as our officiant. I highly recommend working with her if you want to have an amazing ceremony musician!

much of her music as we were off taking photos, our guests were blown away. She was really responsive and open to our ideas leading up to the wedding as well.

as unique, highly professional vocally and with a "sweetness" that made the ceremony more complete and memorable. If you want a talented musician at your event, dont hesitate to hire Lindsay.

adding a special touch to our day!

of the songs that she knows, including audio recordings of many of them so we could hear how they sound. She was also happy to meet with us before hand to go over our song lists and learned a new song at our request for the processional. She sent a sample of it to us beforehand to make sure we liked it - it was perfect. She arrived early, set her stuff up, and set up the audio for our officiant as well. Her music throughout was beautiful, and she let our friends use her guitar and microphone to sing a song during the ceremony. Last but not least, her rates were extremely reasonable and we were thrilled to be able to have live music at our ceremony without breaking the bank. We would definitely recommend her.

ve received so many compliments from guests saying she was the perfect edition to our cocktail hour. Lindsay was very responsive throughout the planning process. and she was very helpful in making song recommendations based on the vibe we were looking to achieve. Lindsay also knows an array of Irish songs which our Irish families loved! I would very highly recommend her!

to choose from and she sounds amazing. Our guests loved listening to her while getting their hors d'oeuvres/drinks, and acoustic music was great to have before all the dancing with our DJ. We highly recommend Lindsay. Thanks!

utiful voice! We would highly recommend her :)

o us at our ceremony raving about what a wonderful addition to the wedding she was. Couldn't be happier!

and emailed her. She quickly responded and was such a pleasure to talk to. I listened to her music samples and I knew she was the one! Even though I only saw her quickly when walking down the aisle, a lot of my guests came up to me asking who she was and telling me how beautifully she played and sang. I couldn't have found a more perfect musician to play at my wedding. Thank you so much Lindsay, you truly made our wedding special!!

or to the wedding. Her voice and guitar skills are beautiful! Thank you again Lindsay!

n we had questions. She did a fantastic job creating arrangements to songs that were significant to us, and my husband and I received multiple compliments on her performance for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dance from our guests. I highly recommend her, working with her was a great decision in every way!

nd I cannot recommend her enough.

choose from. My family, and my husband are from Ireland, therefore a number of the guests were arriving from Ireland. Her song list included a large variety of Irish songs, which was perfect for my cocktail hour. She arrived on time, allowed the Justice of the Peace to utilize her microphone/speaker equipment, and was a BIG hit! She sang for a half hour before the ceremony, then sang a beautiful rendition of "A Thousand Years" while I walked down the isle. She sang a number of classic Irish song to which almost everyone who knew the words sang along to, making the cocktail hour truly wonderful and social. I can not tell you how many people asked "Where did you find her, she was AMAZING!" in fact, just yesterday I was at a family birthday party and my cousins wife said " I could have listened to her all night" I think all attending would have agreed with that! Don't give it a second thought- if you are looking for a unique, beautiful voice and complete professionalism, look no further!!! Thanks for a job well done, one people cannot stop raving about!

et. She was a breeze to work with, responding to emails quickly. Lindsay was also kind enough to learn a new song ("The Wind" by Cat Stevens) for our walk down the aisle (my husband and I walked in together) without any additional charge! We can't recommend Lindsay enough!

walking down the aisle with my parents to an acoustic rendition of Cannon in D. Simply beautiful. Lindsay read the crowd extremely well at our cocktail hour, and played acoustic renditions of modern pieces as well as traditional Irish and folk tunes. I could have spent the entire evening just listening to her perform. Lindsay is also extremely professional and easy to work with. Prior to the big day she provided wide variety of selections for us to choose from – certain to fit any wedding style. Thank you Lindsay for making our wedding day unforgettable.
