Lindsay and Jordan were amazing! We were married in the church and Lindsay worked very well with our music director on the music selections we chose and in some cases learned the music with very little effort. It was a beautiful ceremony. They also played during the cocktail hour at our reception which added a unique touch to our evening. They play a wide variety of music which was perfect. Lindsay was helpful and kind and our overall experience was excellent. We definitely recommend them for any event.

We saw Lindsay perform at another friends wedding years ago and I knew immediately I wanted her at mine. Her voice is beautiful and her song choices are varied yet cohesive, there is something for everyone! We received so many compliments about her singing, she adds a unique and personalized touch to every wedding she performs at. She is incredibly easy to work with, I highly recommend her to all!

Lindsay did a just beautiful job with providing music for our small wedding in Newport, RI in Spring 2019. She played acoustic guitar for our ceremony, and sang and played guitar for us at a cocktail hour, which included our first dance as a married couple as well as our first dance with our children. We asked her to learn a Tom Petty song for that first dance, and her interpretation of it was flawless. In addition to what she added to the day, she was super professional and responsive before hand, taking care of all of the details that were needed to make it all work without us having to do any more than necessary to make sure that we were happy. We highly recommend her!

Lindsay Straw performed for the ceremony and cocktail hour at our outdoor wedding and was absolutely magical. She has an incredibly beautiful voice and set the perfect mood for our wedding. So many of our guests came up to us during our reception and after the wedding to comment on how wonderful Lindsay was and we couldn't agree more! She was also incredibly professional and so easy to work with. We went to see her perform at the Arlington Farmer's Market and met with her after to discuss booking her. She was so helpful and her music was so lovely at the farmer's market that we knew we had to book her. We are so happy that we did! She made the whole process seamless and it was fabulous not to have to worry about the music at all. Our wedding was also outside on the hottest day of the year and Lindsay didn't bat an eye! We can't recommend her highly enough and would strongly encourage anyone to book her for their event.

I came upon Lindsay on the knot. After listening to Lindsay on her website (there was a variety of pieces) and speaking to her, my husband and I knew that we wanted her to play at our ceremony. She was professional, organized, flexible, approachable, responsive, helpful, and had a beautiful voice and guitar skill. The live guitar gave a personal feel that we wanted. She does offer other options. My husband and I like different types of music. Her music selection was extensive. Our ceremony had everything from the Beatles, "Here Comes the Sun," La Vie en Rose" to Foo Fighters' "Everlong." We had a number of guests complimenting on Lindsay's performance. Selecting her was one of our best choices in our wedding planning process.

Lindsay is awesome. We met with her before the wedding to give her an idea of what we wanted in terms of music. I had chose to have live music by Lindsay for the ceremony and cocktail hour with a DJ for the reception. Everything transitioned so smoothly from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend her-plus she is super affordable. She is easy going which made the process easy.

I watched my wife walk down the aisle while listening to Lindsay Straw sing, and it was absolutely perfect. Lindsay has a beautiful voice and and is a talented guitarist. Her performance was everything we hoped it would be. We booked her after seeing her perform at a friend's wedding, and we immediately knew she was exactly what we wanted. Lindsay was wonderful from beginning to end! She worked within our budget and provided exactly what we were looking for in providing music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, plus managing a playlist we created for "dj lite" services. She has a beautiful voice and was so laid back and flexible in working with us as we figured out what we wanted the music to be. We hired Lindsay to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Based on the structure of the day my wife and I really only heard the processional and recessional music but everything we heard from her was absolutely fantastic. She is both a talented singer and guitarist and has an enormous repertoire, so we were able to choose exactly what we wanted for the wedding. Lindsay was very accommodating throughout the planning process, including playing an instrumental version of one of her songs that one of our bridesmaids, a professional singer, performed to, even sending that bridesmaid an altered recording in advance for practice. Lindsay was a delight to work with and we highly recommend her!

For our outdoor beach wedding on the Cape, we knew we wanted music that would be simple and beautiful, and decided a solo singer with acoustic guitar would best fit the setting and atmosphere we wanted. We went with Lindsay based on her great reviews and could not have been happier with the experience - not only is she an amazing performer with a beautiful voice, she is a consummate professional who is organized, responsive, and attentive to all the details that go into making a wedding a success! We really appreciated her broad song list repertoire, that she had her own A/V equipment and setup options (she ended up bringing battery-powered speakers and two wireless mics for the outdoor beach ceremony where electrical outlets weren't available, which also meant amplifying the officiant / grooms was taken care of), that she took special requests and learned a song my mother-in-law wanted for the ceremony, and that she was also willing to perform some light emceeing / DJ duties during the reception to help move things along. Best of all, she went the extra mile and worked with me beforehand on providing accompaniment so I could serenade my husband as a surprise. The day of the wedding, she arrived early to make sure everything was set up properly, and we never had to worry about whether she knew her cues or where she had to be next, and things went off without a hitch! Several of our guests came up to us afterward to comment on how beautiful the music was during the ceremony and reception, and how calm and peaceful they felt hearing Lindsay's wonderful guitar-playing and singing on the beach. I can't recommend working with her highly enough and am so grateful she was available to be part of our special day!

My husband and I planned our April 6th wedding at Foxwoods in just two months, and a month or so out we were still at a loss for what type of music we wanted for our Ceremony and our Cocktail Hour (We aren’t really ‘harp music’ people). After some searching at various Entertainment sites, we found Lindsay Straw on Gigmasters.com. We loved her acoustic guitar and beautiful voice. With both of us being Irish, her wide selection of Classical, Pop/Folk/Standards, and Celtic music really checked all the boxes. Lucky for us, she had our date open, so we set up a phone call with her and walked through what we were looking for, and she shared how she normally handles things. Here website has a LONG list of songs to choose from. She said we could make a list for her to pull from, or give her some guidelines and she’ll fill in what seems to be working best. We also opted to ‘upgrade’ and have her musical partner Jordan Santiago join her on mandolin & violin. Well, we can’t tell you what rave reviews our guests gave us about both the Ceremony music and the selections for Cocktail hour. PLUS, they were able to cover a 15 min delay/panic as we lost the binder we had all of our readings in for the Ceremony (life savers)! If you want something different than the usual harp, or string quartet, or even DJ music, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone as talented, charming and versatile as Lindsay. Lindsay and Jordan were a highlight of our wedding reception. They are very talented musicians and can play many different types of music. Our wedding was held at a camp in central Mass and we wanted a folk acoustic feel, which they can play perfectly. Lindsay and Jordan learned our favorite song for our first dance, and had everyone in tears for when we danced with our dads. She was so helpful in recommending songs for specific moments of our wedding and very accommodating and flexible when setting timelines for our day. From the beginning Lindsay was very professional and quick to respond to emails. One thing we were most impressed with was her ability to get to know us and what we wanted for music on our wedding day. They played a good balance of crowd favorites and their original songs, which gave our reception a unique and personal touch. They were naturals at feeling out the vibe of our venue/guests and setting the tone that we wanted. Lindsay and Jordan were a perfect fit for our reception and we are so happy to have booked them. The music was unique and loved by all of our guests. People were up dancing and sitting, enjoying the lovely music. As a same-sex couple, Lindsay and Jordan were a safe and comfortable option for us.

Hiring Lindsay for our wedding ceremony on 10/5/18 was one of the best decisions we could have made! Lindsay was so wonderful to work with throughout the whole process, and even went out of her way to learn two different songs for our ceremony which made it so much more personal and special. Lindsay is truly gifted and having her play at our ceremony made all the difference!

Lindsay Straw was incredible from the minute we decided to book her to the day of the wedding. She had great suggestions for the cocktail hour, and the ceremony music. We have a big Irish family, and she was able to give us great suggestions for traditional music that fit our theme. Her voice and guitar skills are hard to beat! She did a custom version of the Ed Sherran Galway Girl for us, and she knocked it out of the park! If you're questioning whether or not to book Lindsay for your wedding -- DO IT! She was absolutely incredible! All throughout the planning process she had prompt and helpful responses, offering us suggestions and samples of her music to help us decide on the perfect playlist. We had our wedding pretty far away from where she usually plays, and we are so grateful she was able to make the trip because our ceremony would not have been the same without her (& Jordan)! Her version of "A Thousand Years" while my father and I walked down the aisle had a majority of our guests in tears. Neither my husband nor I got to even see her or meet her in person that day amidst all the business, but we heard her magical sound and could not have been happier! Thank you Lindsay! :)

We were fortunate enough to have Lindsay play during our outdoor Cape Cod wedding ceremony this summer! Lindsay is absolutely incredible and so talented. She was so flexible and quick to respond. Her knowledge of music and weddings was so helpful in planning our ceremony. She sent us a recording of one of our ceremony songs before our wedding and I literally cried it was so beautiful! I couldn’t recomm be Lindsay enough!!!

Lindsay was a solo guitarist for our low-key, outdoor wedding ceremony, and she was AWESOME! She has a huge selection of covers and learned a song special to us (and sent a music file along in advance just to make sure it was what we wanted), was on time, professional through out our planning process, was incredibly responsive with all of my neurotic questions, and performed beautifully the day of. Her amps are also battery powered, which was so great for our outdoor wedding - no permitting needed! She also had an extra cord-less mic available for our officiant, which was incredibly helpful. Can't say enough kind things and so glad we went with Lindsay!

Booking was a very easy process and she was very easy to work with and flexible in terms of picking the songs we wanted and the schedule for the day. As soon as I found Lindsay's music online, I KNEW she was the one I wanted to play our wedding. She exceeded all of our expectations. Her voice and her guitar skills are unbelievably beautiful in person. On the day of our wedding, we had countless guests come up to us to ask where we found her and compliment her music. Beyond being highly talented, Lindsay was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful from the second I contacted her. She was kind enough to learn the song that I wanted to walk down the isle to and played 10 amazing song choices for our guests while they were arriving to the ceremony. We hired Lindsay to play at our outdoor wedding ceremony. She was very responsive when we reached out to her and immediately sent us a link to her website, which has a list of all of the songs that she knows, including audio recordings of many of them so we could hear how they sound. She was also happy to meet with us before hand to go over our song lists and learned a new song at our request for the processional. She sent a sample of it to us beforehand to make sure we liked it - it was perfect. She arrived early, set her stuff up, and set up the audio for our officiant as well. Her music throughout was beautiful, and she let our friends use her guitar and microphone to sing a song during the ceremony. Last but not least, her rates were extremely reasonable and we were thrilled to be able to have live music at our ceremony without breaking the bank. We would definitely recommend her.

I recently had Lindsay sing at my our door, roof deck wedding. Leading up to the wedding she was very quick to respond to emails, offered great ideas and had a lengthy song list to choose from. My family, and my husband are from Ireland, therefore a number of the guests were arriving from Ireland. Her song list included a large variety of Irish songs, which was perfect for my cocktail hour. She arrived on time, allowed the Justice of the Peace to utilize her microphone/speaker equipment, and was a BIG hit! She sang for a half hour before the ceremony, then sang a beautiful rendition of "A Thousand Years" while I walked down the isle. She sang a number of classic Irish song to which almost everyone who knew the words sang along to, making the cocktail hour truly wonderful and social. I can not tell you how many people asked "Where did you find her, she was AMAZING!" in fact, just yesterday I was at a family birthday party and my cousins wife said " I could have listened to her all night" I think all attending would have agreed with that! Don't give it a second thought- if you are looking for a unique, beautiful voice and complete professionalism, look no further!!! Thanks for a job well done, one people cannot stop raving about!

Lindsay was an incredible addition to our wedding ceremony! My husband and I both love folk music, and Lindsay's repertoire was a perfect fit for the atmosphere we were trying to set. She was a breeze to work with, responding to emails quickly. Lindsay is a delight to work with and a phenomenal musician! I knew I wanted a unique procession but I didn't want to just plug in an iPod and Lindsay was the answer! She made our ceremony extra special by offering such a wide array of contemporary songs (guests came up to us all night to compliment her performance and ask where we found her!) but is skilled enough to also play more traditional tunes as well. She made the planning process so much easier by making sure all questions were answered far in advance of the big day and I would suggest her in a heartbeat to anyone who is looking to hire a live musician for any event.

We hired Ivy Leaf to play music for the ceremony and also throughout the reception and they were absolutely wonderful! Lindsay was quick to respond to all my emails and was very organized, thorough, patient, calm, friendly, and professional in working with us. I felt ever so confident that they would arrive on time and everything would go as planned...and it sure did!! We had an outdoor wedding at an apple orchard in the fall and they were the perfect addition to the cozy and festive vibe we wanted to create. We are not much into dancing and wanted to be able to mingle with our guests for the whole reception but we also wanted to have music entertainment...Lindsay and Ivy Leaf were the perfect choice! The music was happy, lively, and festive and we received many compliments from our guests. We even purchased CD's on Amazon to give as memento gifts for our parents and other family members. Ivy Leaf was a big part of our lovely wedding day and I can not express my gratitude enough!!

Lindsay played background music at my sister's bridal shower. From start to finish she was a true professional. She is a rare talent, whose voice is simply gorgeous. My (now) wife came across Lindsay when looking for someone to play for our ceremony. From the first introductory email to the last thank you email, Lindsay was an absolute delight to work with. She was communicative, organized, and an absolute professional. Of course, most importantly, the music was perfect! While we did not get to enjoy the pre-ceremony music, we heard nothing but great things from our guests. The performance during the ceremony was exactly what we were looking for and wanted. If you are in the market for someone to perform, I can't recommend her enough!

For our wedding ceremony, we wanted to hire a guitarist. After searching online, we stumbled upon Lindsay. We knew Lindsay was the one for us when we heard her music online and saw her song list. When we met Lindsay, she was very professional and had a calming influence. She helped us coordinate our ceremony music. We chose three songs that Lindsay had on her song list, an instrumental version of a "Thousand Years" for the processional and "I Choose You" for the Recessional. We also had her sing "The Story" during our Sand/Candle ceremony. Her timing was impeccable with each song as we had requested to start some of the music while the officiant was completing a verse . This made it very unique as well as memorable for us. We also had Lindsay play an hour of cocktail music. Since she would not be present at our reception, we decided to do our first dance during the cocktail hour. We chose to have her sing "Come to Me" by the Goo Goo Dolls and we requested her to change a couple of the lyrics to suit our gorgeous location as well as being a same sex couple. Lindsay did a beautiful rendition of “Come to Me” and it made it even more special since it was tailored to us. She even provided us with a recording which we will treasure forever. Many guests inquired about her and commented how wonderful she was. We even got a call from the venue just a week after our reception requesting her contact information for another couple. We just can't say enough about Lindsay. She is a gifted musician with an angelic voice who made our day that much more memorable. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Lindsay performed for our small wedding in the Public Gardens, and she was perfect. She was very responsive and professional in all out interactions leading up to the wedding, and she was timely and perfect on our wedding day. She is an extremely talented musician, and her voice and playing are absolutely gorgeous! She even learned a new song for us, and her performance was everything we had envisioned and more!
