ng all the amenities and activities onsite was a big hit for our guests, everyone stayed busy on the resort the hours before the wedding and had so much fun. The food was so delicious and the spreads for cocktail hour were so beautiful. The drinks were also great and their bartenders did a great job making our signature cocktails. The property is quintessential Maine with both woodsy areas and the waterfront, both made for great photo locations.

e down a bit and really let us enjoy our time celebrating. It was something we wanted to mirror for our own wedding. Shortly after becoming engaged we came across Linekin Bay Resort and it just seemed to fit the bill perfectly. We got the brochure and quickly booked a tour. Within minutes of our tour with Melissa we were absolutely sold. We never even looked at another venue once we came across Linekin. The amenities, privacy, and rooming options made the venue package too good to pass up for a Fall wedding weekend. One unique thing about Linekin was that if you are renting out the venue to keep it private for your guests they require a rooming block. You are tasked with assigning the accommodations for your guests so you are able to optimize the multi family cabins, single family cabins, hotel rooms, etc. It truly felt daunting but Melissa was so incredibly helpful and it quickly became a puzzle no different from a room block. Our friends and family were pleased with their accommodations as they were all beautiful with full amenities! Large groups of friends loved being in their own rooms in multi family cabins and more reserved guests appreciated the privacy of their single cabins. Everything is so close together people were able to have their space to retreat while being able to join the fun within minutes. The absolute standout of the whole experience was working with Melissa Nein, the events director. She was willing to offer honest suggestions and feedback about questions we had and we were confident in taking her advice with her wealth of experience. All of our interactions with staff were wonderful. They all were so friendly and personable. The support from Melissa throughout the planning process and the weekend itself really made us certain at every step we were going to have the best experience possible and we truly did. If you are looking for a weekend wedding experience look no further than Linekin Bay. We are looking forward to incorporating trips back in the years to come!

f Maine. Linekin was truly the perfect place to make our wedding dreams come to life. The property is absolutely stunning - from every cabin type, to the Main Lodge where the reception was held, to the ocean views everywhere you step. It takes your breath away and our family and friends couldn’t stop telling us what a perfect getaway it was. But what was even better, was the ability to house nearly all of our guests on property, to be able to eat breakfast with them each morning, and to just have the entire place to ourselves for our favorite people. Again, it felt like a dream. While Linekin was perfect for us in these ways, what really drove the experience home and made our wedding our favorite day was the incredible staff and food. From the first tour, we knew Melissa would be a joy to work with. She’s incredibly kind, responsive, flexible, organized, and patient - everything you want in the person coordinating every last detail of your big weekend. While planning a wedding is always stressful, she truly calmed my nerves at every turn and I couldn’t have imagined working with anyone else. The staff around her was also incredibly professional and friendly, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. Truly thank you to Linekin for making it the best weekend of our lives, I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else.

We loved having the entire place for our wedding guests for the full weekend and our guests loved the accommodations, breakfast, and all the water activities. The event coordinator, Melissa, was the best. All of the pre-planning was so easy and Melissa made sure to go over all the details with us along the way. She was always quick to respond to emails and had great suggestions for the wedding. Everything went so smoothly during the weekend due to all planning and we did not have to worry about anything! We also loved the tasting event that LBR hosts, where we were able to try all the food for the reception and many of the wine options. We also got to see some local vendors work for flowers and dessert and actually ended up choosing a florist from that event. We had a perfect wedding and could not be more happy with our choice of Linekin Bay Resort!

Every single aspect of this venue is beyond wonderful. The staff makes everything run smoothly and they truly made us feel like family! If you’re looking for a “local” destination wedding with THE coastal Maine vibe, this is your place!! Our guests were raving about the accommodations (some of our guests are already planning trips to go back). It poured rain for a significant period of time after (and a tiny bit during) our ceremony and I honestly don't think I even noticed because everything else was so amazing! My #1 piece of advice is GO VISIT THIS PLACE.

We swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, and played pickle ball and many lawn games. This is what makes LBR so unique and the perfect choice for a long weekend summer wedding. Linekin Bay provides such a unique wedding experience because it allows for so much more time and opportunity to enjoy your wedding and the people attending it. For instance, we had a welcome lobster bake, campfire s’mores, a wonderful day of and post wedding breakfast, kayaking, swimming, tennis, and adventures in Boothbay (in addition to the traditional wedding events) during our weekend, none of which would have been possible at any other wedding venue. Incredibly, Linekin Bay is somehow able to provide all of this for a price tag which I believe offers incredible value for money and is comparable to most traditional wedding venues. My wife and I would (and have) recommend Linekin Bay to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue. Thank you to everyone at Linekin Bay!

all of the restaurants and shops downtown, but tucked away enough that the location feels truly your own and you never have to leave if you don't want to since they have everything you need. We had the lobster bake rehearsal dinner and a welcome party on Friday night, the wedding reception Saturday, and a breakfast Sunday morning, which made the whole weekend so special to share with all of our family and friends. Highly recommend doing this since the wedding day truly does go by so fast. It felt like adult summer camp with everyone staying on property all weekend and it being exclusive to our guests only! The spaces are all really well-maintained, and they had just done some recent renovations, so everything looked beautiful for the wedding day. THE FOOD was AMAZING. We had around 165 guests and every single plate was perfectly cooked - the kitchen was part of the renovations which made such a big difference for cooking that many meals. The venue is so unique, and you can really make it your own. We had our ceremony at the church down the street and the bridal party was able to take a boat back to the venue as a fun way to have time for ourselves before all the formalities of the night. We are biased that it was the most fun we've ever had at a wedding, but all of our guests agreed and some are already planning on going back to vacation there! Melissa made the planning process go smoothly as well and was so helpful at keeping us organized! Can't recommend this venue enough!!

One of the reasons we chose Linekin Bay was so our guests could stay on the same property as us. All of the cabins and rooms were beautiful and clean. The property itself is so beautiful and magical. I couldn't imagine a better backdrop for our wedding. The food and drinks during the welcome dinner, wedding dinner, and the free breakfast were all delicious. We also stayed on the resort after our guests left for a mini-moon which was so relaxing and perfect. I honestly can't say enough nice things about this place! We will be back every year for an anniversary trip!

s the best. We found out two days prior to the wedding that the photographers they had hired were a scam. Melissa stepped in an handled it effortlessly; she found a local photographer who was able to step in and save the day. In addition to that, she coordinated the rehearsal and wedding day to perfection. I am a wedding planner and do not say this lightly: everything was incredible and if you are considering having your wedding in this area of Maine, you should look no further and book with Melissa!

But our wedding was more than that one day, as any bride knows; a LOT of planning goes into creating such a magical day and we would NOT have been able to pull it off without our event coordinator, Melissa. Melissa worked with us on every single piece, big and small, over the course of about a year and half, starting before COVID and culminating in our wedding weekend one week after Maine COVID restrictions were dropped. Talk about a roller coaster… I think we planned three different weddings by the time the big day finally came! But Melissa was a rock star the entire time and made sure we had as much information as possible so we could make the best decisions for us. We walked through every detail, she made sure to ask the questions we weren’t thinking about, and her communication was exactly what every bride needs - detailed, fast, and very patient (which was not easy with me, I have a lot of questions!). By the time wedding day came around, she felt more like a good friend than a wedding planner, and that really says a lot. She was amazing through the whole process, and her staff knocked it out of the park on the big day too. So many of my guests made a point of telling me how welcomed and cared for they felt throughout the duration of our wedding weekend. And of course, the best part for us was that we had all of our loved ones with us on property the whole weekend. No worries about transportation or people getting home safely, they just walked out their doors and were right there with all their friends and family. It was a weekend long party and everyone had a blast. I would highly recommend Linekin to any bride looking for a breathtaking venue, incredibly kind and accommodating staff, and a place where their family and friends can come together for the best party you’ll ever attend. Thank you Melissa and LBR staff for a day we will never, ever forget! We are already excited to come back and say hi during future anniversary celebrations :)

We visited the property in every season leading up to our wedding day, and each time the LBR showcased its rustic elegance and intimate atmosphere, leaving us feeling instantly nostalgic and right at home. We were overwhelmed by the warmth, kindness, and professionalism of all the Linekin staff during our entire wedding weekend! We are especially grateful to our Linekin Bay Resort wedding coordinator, Melissa, who was always so responsive to us throughout the wedding planning process, was well organized, and paid so much attention to the details of our day. Our wedding weekend seriously exceeded all of our expectations! We can't wait to go back for our anniversaries to come and relive all of the amazing memories!

e detail was absolutely perfect. We had our Rehearsal Dinner Thursday night, a New England Clam Bake complete with buffet all you could eat Lobster, mussels, cornbread & all! Then Friday we spent the day relaxing at the resort, people started to arrive, friends were swimming in the pool, paddle boarding on the ocean, dining at the restaurant. It was truly all we ever pictured, all our family and friends in one place, mingling, enjoying each other's company. Then Friday night came and it was time of our Welcome Party. Again, it was a dream. String lights, fresh lemonade, an amazing set up of picnic tables, delicious BBQ food, an outdoor bar- it was picture perfect. By Saturday (our wedding day) I wasn't even sure if my heart could take any more- but of course, it exceeded all our expectations. We had so many small details that we added to our wedding (set our flip flops for guests, wanted a special sign on a certain chair for my favorite Uncle, wanted charger plates and menus set at the tables, etc. etc.) and all I can say is, every detail was executed perfectly. Melissa did a phenomenal job prepping the staff on the details of our day and everyone was so attentive, helpful and friendly. The food was outstanding, my mother-in-law now refuses to eat a crab-cake if it's not at Linekin Bay (lol), and I can happily say I ate my whole meal and enjoyed every bite! Overall we truly could not think of a more perfect venue and we can't thank Melissa and the staff at Linekin Bay enough for helping us throw the wedding of our dreams. XO

a place where our guests from all over the country could come stay for the entire weekend. Linekin offered cabins of different sizes and hotel style rooms, with enough variety so that all of our guests from young to old could find a great room option. Breakfast both days for our guests was delicious, with hot, fresh offerings. We had an incredibly memorable welcome dinner Friday night outside next to the West Lodge, where all our guests could enjoy a classic Maine lobster bake. The day of the wedding, guests gathered for a group run to Boothbay Harbor, and then a quick jump into the ocean. Guests then spent all day out on the water kayaking and stand up paddleboarding, in the heated pool, and playing tennis and other lawn games at the resort. The reception was amazing, when the Main Lodge dining room was transformed from its dining hall usage into an elegant setting. From start to finish, Melissa (the Linekin wedding coordinator), went above and beyond. She and her team were responsive, creative, and always willing to help. The weekend of our wedding, she executed an incredible event, throwing all her energy into the wedding day. We cannot thank Linekin Bay Resort enough, and we think this was the absolute perfect location to host our family and friends from all over the country and show them the best of Maine.

at and then some. There’s something magical about LBR and it was so fun to have the place to ourselves for the weekend! We worked closely with our coordinator, Krista, throughout the planning and were so thankful to have her running the show on the day-of. She put us at ease and effortlessly handled anything that came up. The value at LBR cannot be overstated. I’d heard a lot of horror stories from friends feeling nickel-and-dimed at their weddings (not at LBR, obviously), but we experienced the opposite. The staff is incredible and fun to work with, and anticipated needs for us and our guests. In the end, LBR had everything we wanted and more. Gorgeous setting, lovely venue, delicious food, warm & welcoming staff. Highly, highly recommend.

Our guests were able to stay on the property for the entire wedding weekend and it was incredible to walk around on the days leading up to the wedding and see cousins, friends, and everyone else getting to know each other, swimming in the pool, grabbing drinks, and having fun. Finally, after two picture-perfect Maine fall days, it decided to POUR on our wedding day itself, and the Linekin Bay Resort staff were EXTREMELY accommodating and helpful, moving our ceremony inside at the last minute, and even adding their own candles, and other little touches to make the inside ceremony as special as we had hoped our outside one would be.

of our guests said our wedding was one of the most fun they’d ever been to (other than their own) and there’s no question the venue played a huge role in that. Having everyone together in one place was important to us and we wanted to provide out-of-town guests with true Maine experience. LBR was perfect in showing them “the way life should be” and giving everyone an amazing mini-vacation. Krista, the onsite coordinator, is an absolute Rockstar. She handled every detail without breaking a sweat. She worked with us to get the menu, the cocktails, the timing and all the décor just right. From setting up candles and chairs to coordinating an AWESOME welcome party to having everything packed up in boxes by breakfast on Sunday, I barely had to lift a finger. We also wanted our dog to be part of the big day, so having a pet friendly venue was huge! Krista made our pup feel like part of the family throughout the whole process. Doing the room block and assigning rooms (prior to RSVPs!) was the most challenging part. I worked off a google doc, which helped me make changes live as guests started RSVP-ing. I’d also recommend discussing with as many guests as possible the two “options” – nicer, updated rooms that are pricier or “rustic” for a great price. They are pretty different – both in price and quality. I did end up having to “upgrade” a few guests to hit the room requirement, but was worth it to make them feel special. If you’re considering LBR for your wedding, I wouldn’t hesitate! The resort is only getting nicer with the renovations and the setting can be as casual or as glammed up as your vision! It’s a perfect place for creating a truly perfect wedding weekend.

rts are fun, the food was great. Even though it wasn't that warm yet, people were still able to enjoy the heated salt water pool because the water was very warm. The renovations by the Main Lodge are gorgeous with 2 new patios that guests were able to hang out on during cocktail hour. They have redone a few cabins so there were plenty of really nice cabins and lodges for guests to stay in (for a wedding of about 100). And as others have said, the biggest highlight was the staff. The sweetest, most laid back and helpful people. They just brightened my day and made sure everything went super smoothly. I would highly recommend this location for a wedding!!

In our vast search for a wedding venue, we looked through dozens and dozens of locations throughout Vacationland, but only one truly captured the essence of what we were looking for. Starting with the amazing vision from the team of Scott, Garry, Cherie in what they’ve created with the vast renovations and updates to the resort while still keeping the historical charm of the property at the forefront, we were taking a leap of faith on what was planned, but were truly rewarded in a magnificent and delightful surprise. From the ability to have all our guests in one fantastic location to the amazing menu Executive Chef Brian and his team created, Linekin checked all the boxes for us – and more. Our wedding coordinator, Amanda, was a pure delight to work with in getting all the details down to a T, even amidst the day-of whirlwind that is a wedding. She was supremely helpful and accommodating to all our needs, questions, and requests throughout the entire process. The entire staff for the weekend was phenomenal. The only thing we, and all our our guests, wished for was that we could extend our stay even longer! From the whimsical setting on the waterfront with vibrant sunrises and sunsets, to sitting on your private deck staring at the Milky Way along with the all the activities throughout the resort, everyone couldn’t believe the variety of fun and R&R to be had there and in nearby Boothbay Harbor. All of us are already planning on return visits for years to come. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our wedding and beyond. It truly was remarkable. Thank you Linekin!

uld allow guests to stay on-site and one that would allow the use of fire pits and Linekin hit both and so so much more! Linekin is tucked away within Boothbay Harbor which makes it feel quite private and special. The venue is breathtaking with spectacular views of the water in both the dining and dancing lodges. It was so special for us to be able to invite all of our guests stay at the venue and made for a weekend long celebration! We worked mostly with Garry and Maddie who are both such wonderful people and provided personal customer service which made the planning so much more enjoyable. Even in the midst of transition of ownership of the resort, everything went smoothly, which we were so thankful for. We thought the food was amazing and so did all of our guests, saying it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We were impressed by all the staff from the bartender, Will, to the chef, to the attentive staff that kept the fire stoked all night. We really could not have asked for more. We look forward to returning to Linekin Bay for a night or even just a meal and would highly recommend considering it for your wedding venue.

Charming and welcoming, we felt it was the perfect venue for our celebration; all of our guests couldn't say enough good things about their stay and experience at Linekin. Food was great, particularly for the rehearsal dinner which we would strongly recommend having at the resort. Without hesitation we would have chosen Linekin again. Although the resort was transitioning to new ownership and was undergoing significant renovations the staff were all accommodating and responsive to all of our needs. Without hesitation, we enthusiastically recommend Linekin Bay Resort.
