This review is so long overdue, my apologies! Sarah and her team were such a pleasure to work with for my wedding. They were professional and highly trained hair/makeup artists. Our hair and makeup looked absolutely gorgeous. I felt so beautiful and confident on my big day! The team also had to deal with a last minute change in where we were getting ready which ended up being a much smaller space than planned. However, they made it work quickly and made me feel at ease despite this unforeseen issue. I couldn't have been happier with my hair and makeup on my big day, so happy I put my trust in Sarah and her team! Thank you again Ladies, you are pros!!!

Sarah and her team were amazing during our months together!! The sweetest ladies I have ever met. I swear hey felt more like all around wedding planers with the amount of support and assistance they offered ( wedding shoe research, honeymoon planning, centerpiece ideas, and so much more!) They were great with keeping us calm the day of and making sure everything stayed on track. and their hair and makeup work was gorgeous of course ;). They really made sure to listen and work with us with all of our ideas. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better team to work with! We love you guys!

Sarah is AMAZING!!! From the very beginning she was extremely responsive and thoughtful. I was planning my wedding on a short timeline and she fit me in quickly to do our trial which was very much appreciated! The day of the wedding Sarah and her team were so easy to work with and made all of us look amazing. I'm not a huge makeup person but she was able to make me look like an even better version of myself. I would highly recommend Sarah!!!

Sarah and her team at Liner and Lace are AMAZING! Sarah was very easy to communicate with from the very beginning - from our first phone call to scheduling my trial. She really took the time to understand the look I was going for for my wedding (and helped me describe it). I've never really liked my hair or makeup when I have had it professionally done, but I LOVED it when Sarah did it. I am quite picky and I was so, so so happy. Sarah is a such an amazing makeup artist. I really felt like myself (which hasn't always been the case when I got makeup done) but I just felt like the best version of myself, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. Even when I wanted to change up my hairstyle a bit the morning of the wedding, Sarah was so on top of it and really delivered. She also brought along a team along with her on the day-of to do hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and the moms. Everyone loved it and raved about Sarah and her team. I cannot recommend Sarah enough! I will absolutely hire Sarah again in the future if I need to get H&MU done - and I can't stop recommending her to friends! Thank you Sarah!!! <3 Lauren

Where do I start! Sarah is amazing. She does amazing work and really takes notice on what looks good and what you like to reflect on your wedding day make up. She even recommended a good lipstick at the trial so I could go out and buy for the day of my wedding to touch up with throughout the night. I HIGHLY reccomend Sarah. On top of doing amazing work she is just the sweetest!

Sarah is SO fantastic. I don't wear much makeup on a regular basis (had never worn fake eyelashes before!) and Sarah expertly did my makeup for my wedding in a way that I looked and felt fantastic but also felt like myself. I knew when I first met her at my makeup trial that I would definitely hire her, because she was really helpful at explaining what she was doing and talking through different options, and she perfectly incorporated the feedback I gave after the trial. She also never made me feel uncomfortable about asking for what I wanted, and never tried to pressure me into wearing more or different makeup than I wanted (which another makeup artist did). I had an extremely complicated and kind of crazy wedding day, with three different outfits, with three different hair and makeup looks to go along with them, executed in three different locations!! Sarah was exactly on time to each location, and was totally chill about having to pack-up and re-set up three times. She also helped me get into my various looks and was totally willing to do whatever to make me calm, comfortable, and happy while getting ready! She was such a positive presence to have around throughout the day, and I felt reassured knowing she was making me look my best self! And she managed to get the three looks done under time constraints, and made everything work perfectly so we were never running late. I haven't gotten the professional photos back yet, but I already feel like a queen just seeing how I look in people's cellphone photos. So many people told me I looked absolutely beautiful, and I felt gorgeous and comfortable! I truly did feel the prettiest I have ever felt, thanks to Sarah! She was also so great at figuring out how to make each look distinct and match each of the different outfits and settings. Also, I still looked perfect even after many hours of sweaty dancing, so she knows how to make a look long-lasting but not at all heavy! Sarah's assistant was also wonderful and chill, and both my sister and sister-in-law were very pleased with their hair and makeup!

Sarah and her team were so awesome! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Even after changing what I wanted after my trial, it was so easy to communicate everything to her and she totally nailed it. All of my bridesmaids and my mother were so pleased with their hair and makeup, I think they were all kind of stunned that they looked so flawless! One of my favorite moments of the day: when Sarah came and found me in the middle of running laps around the venue (we had a lot of DIY things going on), grabbed me by the shoulders, and said discreetly, "You need to get in the shower. Now." She definitely diffused whatever stress I was under at that moment. LOVE HER!!

Sarah was amazing! She made me look and feel my absolute best on my perfect day! My hair was exactly what I wanted and it stayed perfectly. My hair is pretty tough to work with, but she worked her magic. My makeup was absolute perfection. I have never looked so good! She listened to my concerns and what I wanted and executed perfectly. Not using Liner & Lace for your wedding day will be your biggest regret :)

Sarah made me feel so at home, so comfortable. Since my husband & I had a destination wedding we spent a lot of time researching different vendors close to Napa. That said, I’m so happy we found Sarah. She brought my wedding day visions to life! From our first meeting to our last she was very professional & addressed all my needs. Sarah Dean and her team did an amazing job! I am a SF wedding planner and I had had the pleasure of working with Sarah and her team for several of my brides. When it came to my daughters wedding I knew I wanted Sarah with us on this very special day. Sarah exceeded my expectations! Sarah took the time during our wedding planning to have 2 hair and make-up trials with my daughter so they had the look perfect! Sarah and her team added to all of the wedding day morning fun. They arrived early, were set-up and ready to go on time and kept us all calm. They made all the bridal party feel special and gorgeous! Sarah knows her stuff about make-up! She made a believer out of me the "not into" make-up mother of the bride! It was when I saw the photographs from the day that I knew she was the best part of our team for my daughters wedding. Sarah was great to work with from the start of our experience together to the time she left on my wedding day. I found her after having an unsatisfactory experience with a salon in wine country (where I was getting married) that did my hair and make-up for my engagement photos. Having had a not-so-great experience, I was particularly nervous I might not find someone I liked for the more important "big day." I met with Sarah in her studio for a trial run and I appreciated her calm, laid back demeanor and apparent skill and expertise. She was also honest in telling me what I could and maybe should not try to do for my wedding day hair - given my hair length, thickness, etc., - and I appreciated her transparency. Fast forward to the day of the wedding... Sarah and her team arrived on time and set up quickly - even moving furniture around in my Ramekins hotel room to find the best light to do their work. They were super flexible and easily handled everything from my mom presenting them with a picture from her hairstylist with a request for replication to my bridesmaids pulling last minute inspiration photos from Pinterest (that was my fault... not my bridesmaids...). At the end of the day - everyone looked great - regardless of hair length, coloring, etc. Sarah was prepared for everything. My mom looked amazing, and one of my bridesmaids, in particular, got tons of compliments from family who thought she looked like an iconic old Hollywood star. Needless to say, Sarah and team made the whole group (not just the bride) look and feel amazing. What else could you ask for?

I was lucky enough to book Sarah's talent for all of my wedding events. With minimal direction, she understood the look I was going for and nailed it! Sarah is very professional with a calm & kind demeanor which is so appreciated during a highly emotional and busy time. She managed the makeup of 8 women (in addition to me) on my wedding day. They all looked beautiful - a perfect extension of themselves. I will call on Sarah for all of my future events and recommend her 100%.

After searching high and low for months I finally found Sarah. Not only did she have beautiful photos and great yelp reviews, she also came highly recommended at my boutique that I got my wedding dress from. Needless to say I was set on booking her. We got married on August 12th of 2017 in the Santa Cruz area. Her team got there bright and early and were able to accommodate us all in this small oddly shaped airbnb. There were 6 women getting hair and make up done and my mother was just getting her hair done. Their work was absolutely stunning and all the women looked like they stepped out of a magazine. I was a little nervous as this was my first time getting my make up done professionally however she was really understanding and completely nailed it. Not only do they do amazing work but she finished on time as promise. Her and her team were such a pleasure to work with and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for bridal hair and make up. I couldn't have been had a better team.

I can’t express how amazing Sarah and her team are. She did my make up for my bridal shower and my wedding. Along with 10 bridesmaids and a few moms. She did a flawless job. Her team was professional And all were on point. She was so amazing I have since had her do my make up For a few other weddings and myself, the brides and other ladies were soooo happy. She knows how to listen to you and really get what the look is your looking for. She has also done my make up for my family photo shoots. I would never let anyone else do my hair and makeup. Sarah is a true professional and my absolute favorite makeup artist! Sarah did my makeup for my July wedding and it was perfect. We arranged a trial and she was so accommodating to set it up to be the day of my engagement photos. Unfortunately I was breaking out the day of my wedding, but she was able to cover everything flawlessly and my makeup stayed all day and night! She also did makeup for my bridesmaids and mother, and everyone was so happy with their results. I highly recommend Sarah and her team for anyone that wants to look and feel beautiful on their special day.

I loved working with Sarah. I flew in from Atlanta for my wedding in Napa and had zero contacts. I found Sarah from Yelp and Instagram. She was a breath of fresh air, so easy to work with, professional, friendly and very experienced. She was great at taking direction and did exactly what I had envisioned. My day was perfect and I felt beautiful thanks to her.

I wish I could get my hair and makeup done by Sarah every day! From the start, she was so easy to communicate with and to schedule a trial (maybe even two!). She was so accommodating and willing to work with me until we nailed down the look and when it came to my April wedding day, I was absolutely blown away. I felt so comfortable and trusted her with my vision for my wedding hair and makeup. Sarah and her team of artists were professional and on-time. There were ten of us getting our hair and makeup done and they made sure the whole morning was on-time and stress free and it sure was! My hair lasted the ENTIRE day even with our breezy weather. Sarah is a true artist and knows how to make your vision come true. I'd recommend her in a heart beat!

Sarah was our hair and makeup artist for my wedding in June, and I was so happy to have found her. I was planning my wedding in Sonoma County from afar and spent more time than I’d like to admit researching to find an artist. I reached out to a couple of my other vendors and my florist recommemded Sarah with rave reviews. We didn’t have my trial until a few days before my wedding and Sarah was so personable and lovely when we met. She brought another artist to our wedding location to get my girls and I ready. I was going for a very simple, natural look and was so happy with the end result! My hair and makeup lasted through the evening and photographed beautifully. Sarah is also a great energy to have around while prepping for you wedding day. Her funny and relaxed nature definitely helped calm any nerves that I was having. If I could do it all over, I would definitely choose Sarah again!

If I could give Sarah 1000000+ stars I would! I had the pleasure of having Sarah do my makeup for my wedding this past June and it was flawless to say the least. Without having to go into too much detail during our trial, she was able to perfectly create the look I was going for! I've never felt more beautiful! Aside from her major skills, she is so easy to talk to and makes scheduling a breeze. She also had a way of calming me down on the big day by simply making me comfortable and chatting like old friends. She's like the best friend you never knew you had! Sarah also brought along 2 other lovely ladies with her who did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and they all looked gorgeous and raved about their looks as well. All that's left to say is, if you can book Sarah- do it! I promise that you won't be disappointed-in fact I know that she will exceed your expectations. Love you Sarah!!

Where do I even begin? Sarah and her team made me look absolutely incredible this past weekend at my wedding! I first met Sarah at a head shot photo shoot a few months ago, she was so wonderful to talk to and did an incredible job on my hair and make up in the short time that she had to work on me (my hair literally stayed curled perfectly for 3 days!) Fast forward to my wedding hair and make up trial, Sarah showed up with some incredible ideas and created a look that was perfect! Sarah then recreated that look perfectly with a few modifications that I requested. Sitting in Sarah's chair always feels comfortable, like you're just hanging out with a girlfriend who is doing your hair and make up! The next day at brunch my hair (though no longer pinned up) still looked amazing! My guests literally thought I got up and did my hair that morning! Sarah, thank you so much for being part of our day! I can't even begin to tell you how talented you are!

Sarah did an amazing job on my wedding day hair and makeup! From my "trial run" one month earlier, to the actual Big Day, she was an absolute pleasure to work with! She is on the Preferred Vendor list at the Lafayette Park Hotel where we held our reception, and now I know why! Any future special occasions where I want to glam up with hair and makeup, Sarah Dean will be my Go-to Gal!

Sarah did a wonderful job with my hair and makeup on my wedding day (10/22/16)! She also provided hair and/or makeup for three other family members for the wedding. Everyone was happy with her service and I felt she brought a sense of calmness to a somewhat stressful morning. Sarah provided the amount of guidance I needed while still listening to what I wanted. She was courteous, on time, and responded quickly to emails leading up to my wedding day. I would highly recommend her!

I would recommend Sarah to all of my closest friends for their most memorable and special occasions. Sarah did my make-up for both my engagement photos and my wedding and I was beyond thrilled with her services, her professionalism, and the result. I scheduled a make-up trial with her before my engagement session to discuss expectations and brainstorm looks for my wedding day. She listened to all of my questions and concerns to help develop the final "look" for my wedding. As my wedding approached, we worked together to build a make-up schedule for my 7 bridesmaids so that everything would run smoothly on the day of. Overall, Sarah is a 5 star vendor!

Sarah did the hair and makeup for my wedding in May and did an amazing job. She was recommended by another artist I contacted but I am extremely glad that we wound up with someone as nice and as talented as Sarah Dean. She was easy to work with over email (and at my trial too) as we discussed my ideas and needs for the wedding since I had to accommodate a headdress at some point in the evening and the windiness at my outdoor wedding site. I requested a slightly 1940s style strong lip, defined brows, and a softer eye. Sarah arrived on schedule the morning of the wedding and handled myself and my four bridesmaids on her own (if you have more than five she would arrange a second MUA/stylist) and finished with plenty of time to spare for photos. My bridesmaids all had distinct hairstyles and makeup looks that suited them. They all loved talking to Sarah while they were worked on that morning. We all looked amazing! Even in close up our skin looked great and not mask-like/caked in product, Sarah does good work with foundation and giving you amazing skin (on a range of skintones) and we all loved the way she filled in our brows (different shapes and thicknesses, not cookie-cutter instagram style brows). The makeup lasted till the end of the night (just had to touch up lipstick of course) and our hair did not fall apart despite the wind and dancing that day. I highly recommend Sarah's services if you are looking for a wedding MUA and hairstylist.

Sarah and her team were absolutely amazing. I got married this past Labor Day and was so incrediblely pleased with her service. My makeup was beautiful, clean and natural. It lasted the entire day through sweat and tears, outdoor wedding at 4PM in the CA sun. My hair was gorgeous and held amazingly. I have a ton of hair and it is very long and thick. She did a gorgeous side braid with curls and flower detail. She is extremely detail oreiented and such a pleasure to work with. Her and her team did hair and makeup for myself, my 10 of bridesmaids and mother and mother in law. They were extremely prompt and conscience with the timeline. Everyone looked gorgeous and was ready with time to spare.
