n ensuring our wedding day went smoothly and problem-solving anything that came up. We also knew we wanted to do some DIY decor, so it was important to us that our coordinator could help make our vision come to life - which Grace definitely delivered on. She created our timeline and picked up our decor a couple days ahead of our event, also giving great guidance as we finalized details with our vendors. On our wedding day, only a couple of things out of our control popped up (a late bus and a stain on a dress train) - and Grace went above and beyond to ensure this didn't have an impact on our day or guests' experience. Best day ever, and couldn't have done it without Grace and Lionhearted Events!

mplicated transition as our ceremony was on the roof of a hotel, but our reception was in a ballroom on the ground floor, but Grace and her team nailed the timing to move 160 guests and we never ran behind schedule. Grace was critical to getting our vendors organized and ready for the big day. She was a calming force (perhaps a therapist?) when I had a conflict with our venue and when I thought it might rain! Her texts and emails were always incredibly thorough and positive. She also designed and executed our vision for a unique seating table chart (we had every guest's photos listed by a table number) - it was BEAUTIFUL and guests are STILL talking about it; she is so creative and meticulous. She also just became a friend - she helped me change out of my wedding dress into my afterparty dress, and always remained patient (I should mention that our wedding was delayed THREE times in 3 years! - yet she always stuck by us and gave us "grace.") I hope you get an opportunity to work with the Lionhearted team - you won't regret it!

Grace handled communicating with the vendors and created schedules and thought through all the logistics, like the order of the ceremony, timing of toasts and dancing, she ordered mixers that were missing from our bar, and helped orchestrate all the decor that we had brought. I had worked with Grace over the course of our pandemic reschedule (booked them mid 2019, then pushed our Sept 2020 date to ultimately get married Aug 2021) and she was super responsive, provided helpful advice, answered countless questions, and just made us feel at ease the entire time. We felt like we were in good hands and that everything was taken care of throughout the planning experience. About a month before the wedding, Haylie introduced herself to us and she was literally what my wedding planner dreams were made of - she was so knowledgeable, smart, professional, easygoing, kind yet firm when needed. She was able to seamlessly corral all our vendors - some that we hadn't touched base with in a long time due to the pandemic reschedule - her memory is also impeccable. When we had a last minute snafu the day before, she not only convinced me that it would not affect the big day (spoiler: she was right) but she was kind and thoughtful about it as well beyond just what a planner is supposed to do to handle logistics. The day of, she coordinated everything beautifully and sent me a recap the next morning letting me know where everything landed. I truly could not recommend Grace and Haylie enough to anyone that is looking for a stress-free wedding planner experience.

race communicated with all of our vendors and made the rescheduling process so smooth on our end. We had our final walkthrough in March 2020 and the next day things started shutting down. In what felt like the blink of an eye, Grace rescheduled all of our vendors for 2021 (which she then had to do another time when we had to push back again) with ease - or at least on our end it seemed easy. She honored our original contract and gave us such great advice and support as we got back into the groove of wedding planning in October 2021. Day of, Grace had everything under control. Even when I felt like things were stressful because guests were being high maintenance or making messes (i.e. needing an entirely new tablecloth and place setting 5 minutes into dinner), Grace took it all in stride and had everything handled. When my husband and I didn't get to finish our dinner, Grace boxed it up so we could take it home. I don't know how Grace managed it all with so many postponements, cancellations, double/triple wedding weekends, etc. but she did. I know that if we didn't have Grace, our wedding would not have been the amazing day that it was. I highly recommend working with Grace!

phone call and in-person meeting, we hired Grace in December 2019. Since we had no interest/time to figure out all the best vendors in Chicago, we opted for partial planning which easily paid for itself due to Grace’s amazing recommendations and knowledge of the wedding industry. Knowing what we know now, we would have made two different choices: 1) hired Grace BEFORE you choose a venue (can’t stress that enough), 2) we should have opted for full planning since our experience was so great! Little did we know the Covid-19 pandemic was on the horizon when we started working with Grace. A common theme that we heard from other friends getting married around the same time as us is that all their vendors were doing one of the following: 1) going out of business and keeping their deposit, 2) demanding payment upfront, 3) raising their prices. Grace did none of those and the vendors she recommended (and we contracted) with were very flexible given the circumstances. When the chips were down, everyone’s true colors were shown and Grace was the incredible person we knew she was! The entire wedding planning process was as smooth as you could expect in the middle of a pandemic. Grace kept updating us with the most recent rule changes in Chicago while also letting us know what we needed to get done on a month by month basis. The day of our wedding was very relaxing - Grace handled everything from start to finish so we were able to enjoy the day. We can’t recommend Grace highly enough!!

ay perfect. We booked Grace for partial planning but I swear, it felt like she was with us every step of the way. She was incredibly quick in responding to our questions, always available to listen to my nervous rants, and willing to give her honest opinion about everything, which I so very much needed. My husband and I have very loud family members and friends who do not follow instructions, ever. Grace was able to wrangle all of us during the rehearsal and command attention the day of the wedding. I am naturally an anxious person so on my wedding day, I was an absolute wreck. Grace's relaxed energy radiated throughout the craziness and she found a way to get me to calm down in a matter of minutes. Needless to say, everything went off without a hitch and the day turned out to be even better than I dreamed it would be. Grace is a powerhouse planner with your budget in mind - there was not a decision made before she reminded me that we were to stick to our numbers but at the same time, she allowed us to make choices that we felt fit our vision. I cannot recommend Grace enough, I don't think my day would have been as perfect were it not for her! Stop searching, go ahead and book Lionhearted already!

It was like she could read my mind; every time we had a call and I said "Oh I need to email so and so" she'd say "I've done that already." coolest, most down to earth, and simply most amazing wedding planner there is. She worked with our budget, coming in slightly below in the end - even though we were told by other planners we talked to that we are on the lower end of budgets for Chicago weddings and it would be really difficult to stick to the budget. She handled my mother in law and her sisters like a pro when it came to their decoration ideas. And she dealt with all the last minute requested and changes like the wedding boss she is - we had an outdoor ceremony planned but then ended up with pouring rain on the day - no reason to panic as Grace turned it around to an indoor ceremony in no time and it looked like we had always planned it that way. All the service providers she recommended (hair, photographer, band) were amazing to work with too - she found us the rock cover band in Chicago - everyone is still talking about the amazing party we had. We really cannot recommend Grace enough. Thank you!
