The communication was lacking on the day of the wedding, yes venue is beautiful but the way some staff started communicating was inappropriate the day of the wedding. They started...
adding charges the day of the wedding communicating last second about things they wanted but it was an added charge. They kicked us out rudely at 9:30 although they closed at 10:00pm. Threatened to keep the security deposit as well. I would keep away personally, and this is why I felt like leaving this bad review.
We loved getting married here!!! Of course the grounds and facilities are amazing and so beautiful, but the staff is great to work with too! Cat (venue manager) was always availabl...
e to answer questions during the planning process and has a great team of day of coordinators and bar staff! We loved the spacious bridal suite to get ready in and utilized the bbq area the night before our wedding for the rehearsal dinner, which was great! All of our guests raved about our venue, calling it perfect and beautiful!
We just had our wedding at Lions park and it was a beautiful day! We used the gazebo adorned with flowers for our ceremony and it was perfect for us, simple and classy. The recepti...
on area looked great inside with all of the wood and the beautiful light display on the wall.
I wish I could give 5 stars but some things need to be addressed.
Initially, the event manager was very helpful and quick to reply to emails and questions. But as time went on she was slower to reply or did not reply at all. Eventually my wedding coordinator had to get involved and event manager stated she had not seen my emails. Event manager was very apologetic and nice but it is stressful tying to plan a wedding from 3 hours away not to hear back promptly.
Also, we paid for day before wedding access to the park so we could set up our venue/reception. We had our catering staff delivering linens at a specific time but none of us could get in as the doors were not opened for us as promised. We were waiting around for a while hoping the staff would come but no one arrived. We contacted the bar manager who was able to give us the code to let us in the building and thank goodness because no staff ended up coming to let us in.
On the day of the wedding the bridal suite was cute and spacious but had no toilet paper in bathroom, hand towel in bathroom or paper towels in kitchen. I searched the premises and found some toilet paper in a storage closet but it would have nice to have been stocked. The white couch was very dirty/stained and we placed a sheet over it so we felt comfortable sitting on it.
The main thing was my wedding turned out great, the park was beautiful and the lodge area was rustic and charming. The groundskeeper came the morning of the wedding and made the park look wonderful. I would like to say the bar manager Dave is so helpful, friendly and quick to reply to all emails and calls. The bar staff was very friendly on the night of the wedding as well.
Overall I would recommend this beautiful park if the communication issues improved.
We had originally booked this for our entire wedding ceremony and reception venue and then changed to hold only our ceremony there. It was a good value for only $500 and we rented ...
chairs for an additional $400 and brought in our own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks for the appetizer portion of our meal. We had the reception at Arnoldi's in Santa Barbara and used Jump on the School bus for the transportation. Lion's Park has a beautiful tree we were married under.
This was such a pretty venue - especially inside the building with was all beautiful wood. Great bridal suite on-site, and plenty of parking.
went to santa barbara for a few days to walk downtown and go to the santa barbara brewery, and then headed to carpinteria for a while day to spend a beach day.. perfect weather

good mini honeymoon getaway right after the wedding bc we are on a budget since we are both in school
This was a beautiful venue and perfect for us, beyond that Aimee the coordinator and the volunteer staff for the Bar made our night such a success! Everyone was helpful and flexibl...
e to our request. It's a unique location and worth the value. The coordinator does not respond every day, but the days she does work she does get back to you. They have a beautiful space that could be used in so many ways. We especially loved their Bridal Suite! I am so glad we choose to get married here.
Beautiful location. We had our ceremony in the park outside and our reception in the lodge. Aimee, the event coordinator, in the park was very helpful in answering questions and ...
helping us figure out logistics. A great location! Close enough to be easily accessible (only a mile off the freeway) but secluded and private, too.
Lions Park is wonderful! The park is so beautiful, lots of trees, view of the hills, a gazebo and rustic park area and lodge. They also have a beautiful dressing room for the bride...
and bridal party. I highly recommend this park. It is a true gem.
My husband and I live in LA but my family is scattered along the Central Coast so we needed a central location. Lions park was perfect! Its private park boasts an indoor and outdoo...
r space, bar, commercial kitchen, and bridal suite. It was perfect for our Rustic theme and our LA guests felt like they were at a destination wedding. They have tables and chairs included in the price but we brought in rental chairs because theirs couldn't go outside. I would definitely recommend appointing one point of contact from your party to handle all communication with the events coordinator so as to avoid repeat inquiries and eliminate any confusion or frustration from them.
We loved having our wedding here. Don't let the lodge vibe fool you! The wood is beautiful and the lawn pristine. Additionally, it is clear how enthusiastic and prideful the Lions ...
Club members are of their facility. The bridal suite was an added bonus.
