When I got annoyed that my hair blew in front of my face, they made me laugh it off and relax. They were so patient and they made us feel so comfortable the whole time. They really put their heart and soul into their work by positioning us so precisely taking lighting, shadows, and the background scenery into consideration. We said that we loved a good sunset and boy did they capture every second of the sun setting in our pictures. Lisa sent us a sneak peek including 20 or so pictures the very next day and we were in love with them. When we received our full gallery, we knew that we HAD to book Lisa to photograph our wedding day too!! I had many phone calls and conversations with her prior to my wedding where she and I talked about minute details that I hadn’t even considered, and I know for a fact that if she hasn’t shot at a location before, she makes sure to go and scout it. My husband and I did an engagement shoot with Lisa, and that was so helpful for the day, since, as most people are not, we are not in the habit of posing for professional pictures. Lisa gently guided us through posing and it resulted in an incredible gallery of pictures, where I love each picture more than the last. Lisa also took the time with me to go over an itinerary for my day, to talk with me about any specific pictures I wanted, and the overall feel of the pictures I wanted. She is incredibly detail-oriented, talented, warm, and a true creative artist. Her pictures are absolutely gorgeous, and she is able to capture real emotion in her pictures, which is rare in the wedding photography world. I love every single picture taken of me on my wedding day, even at the end of the night after I was dancing for hours. Lisa somehow still made me look my best! She also got us a teaser album incredibly quickly, and retouches all her pictures by hand. Additionally, after the wedding, she is now working with us on creating album spreads, and has met with us regarding putting our albums together. I highly highly recommend Lisa for your wedding. You will have so much fun taking pictures and be so happy with them when you do!

She was very generous with her time before we signed with her and took the time to really listen and get to know us as a couple which is not what we experienced with others. She never tried to push things on us (we weren’t interested in an engagement shoot for example) and she was very transparent about what we would get and when. Her prices were extremely competitive. After we signed the contract, Lisa was very prompt to answer questions and was flexible and open to new ideas while also offering her professional opinion. That was important because we had ideas but obviously had never done this before and needed her expertise. Lisa also sent helpful reminders along the way and was by far our most organized vendor. On the day, Lisa was beyond amazing. My hair and make up crew was behind schedule and Lisa was calm and took control. She made up all the extra time and still got through everything we had planned in the abbreviated schedule. Lisa was great at coaching us (we weren’t used to all the romantic lovey posing) and made us feel comfortable. And the photos are amazing. What she was able to do with the background and lighting is truly magical. We have had countless compliments that go far beyond the expected pleasantries. Lisa promptly posted a blog post with many of our photos and then gave us access to several hundred in on online gallery and mailed us a flash drive. We now have the problem of too many great photos to pick from. We were fortunate to work with great vendors across the board but when we look back, Lisa really stands out even in that elite pack. If I had to do it all over again, Lisa would be our first hire. I highly recommend her for anyone in the market for a photographer!

What was important to me was someone who was local to the venue (I did not want to hire a vendor who had to travel far) and who took beautiful, honest memorable photos that captured moments and expressions. I came across Lisa on the North Fork Weddings website and checked out her website and blog. I loved her photojournalistic approach to wedding photography. She has an amazing eye and captures moments unlike most sterile wedding photographers. We didn't want a bunch of posed family portraits and specifically did not want to miss our cocktail hour. Lisa recommended we do a "first look" to get some of the formal shots out of the way before the madness of the wedding began. We are so glad that we did! It was such an incredible intimate moment that my husband and I got to share together before our guests arrived.
