I specialize in both film and digital photography, my discovery of film changed the way I viewed my work by encouraging me to slow down and be more deliberate. This thoughtful approach is what encourages me to continue to be creative and not miss any “small” moments. My love of film also springs from the way it captures color, light, texture, and nostalgia. Lisa was AMAZING!!! We had such a great experience working with her, she is so good at making you feel comfortable around the camera and making it fun! We did a holiday photoshoot with Lisa before our wedding since we'd already had engagement photos done prior to looking for photographers, and it was a great way to meet her and get to know her a bit before the big day! Our wedding photos came out so incredibly beautiful and we could not be more grateful that Lisa captured the joy and fun of our wedding! I would not hesitate to book Lisa for a second :)
I have had the pleasure of knowing Lisa both professionally (I second shoot weddings with her), and as a wedding client of hers. Lisa is truly the best photographer for so many reasons. She takes so much time to prepare for a wedding by thinking through every detail. She has a special talent of making her wedding galleries tell a story of the wedding day- something that not all photographers can do. She is always on time, prepared, and so easy to be around. On such a stressful day for many couples, Lisa makes the entire wedding photography process feel effortless and enjoyable. She also is fantastic at helping clients with posing so that they look natural, joyful, and flattering. Then, in addition to her being so amazing and friendly and FUNNY, her WORK is stunning. Her photographs capture emotions, while making every image seem like a classic painting. I am so grateful that she was my wedding photographer and after years of being in the wedding photography industry, I can confidently say that anyone would be blessed to have her photograph their wedding.

Lisa Riley was an absolute DREAM to work with. We hired Lisa based on a recommendation from a friend. Lisa shot our engagement session and made sure that my husband and I were comfortable and coached. It was incredibly helpful to have someone with Lisa's experience to walk us through how to pose, etc. When it came to our wedding, Lisa was my rock! She helped me feel so calm and supported on our day and we relied on her day-of expertise. I appreciated her upmost professionalism and ability to manage PEOPLE because let's face it...weddings are stressful and the actual day is about managing people's emotions. I wanted a photographer who wasn't shy to direct my wedding crew. Lisa's photography is next level and we are so happy to have these beautiful photos to share with our family for decades to come.

Lisa almost puts me at a loss for words when I see the photos she produces. She is many things beyond talented. When working with Lisa, she is fun, disarming, honest, hard working and makes it all so easy being the subjects of her photos. She gives direction clearly and makes you laugh and enjoy your time with her. She also takes her time to cultivate a harmonious picture while capturing the smallest of moments between my husband and I in a photo. It's incredible! You never feel rushed or like we are checking portraits off of a list. She's present in the moment seeing what works the best. Our engagement shoot was a fantastic opportunity to get to know her before the big day and see how she operates in her role. It also made seeing her again all that much more exciting! We feel so lucky to have these memories to hold onto forever. She truly captures the tangible version of the dreamy memories that I have of these days. (Both engagement and wedding day images are just WOW!)
Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning!!! Lisa is so talented and we are so happy we hired her to capture our wedding day. She delivered so many photos and they are all beautiful! I don't always love pictures of myself but Lisa listened to my concerns and made sure to get my best angles. I felt like a beautiful bride and the pictures captured that.
While we LOVE our wedding photos, we also appreciated her work style. She is kind, detail oriented, organized, and she knows how to be discreet. I didn't see her at all when I was walking down the aisle but of course she got those very important special shots. She was also very understanding when we had to postpone our wedding a year due to COVID, which made that whole ordeal so much less stressful.

Lisa was flexible with scheduling our engagement session (with COVID and us living out of town, we scheduled our session week-of). She was responsive to our emails, as we planned out our day-of schedule and thought about our (long) list of family portraits. Lisa gave us a decent amount of photos as a preview right after our wedding. Some photos were missing and we had some other personal requests; Lisa was super helpful and responsive with all of those inquiries.
Lisa is a top notch photographer. Her photos speak for themselves, but if that's not enough then I am telling you go with Lisa! She was incredible from the beginning. She was able to really capture my husband and myself perfectly. Our engagement pictures were amazing and our wedding photos even better. She was professional, kind and patient. We really loved having Lisa shoot our wedding and will be definitely using her services again.

Not only is her work incredible she is also such a kind person who truly cares about the couples she is working with. From the second I contacted Lisa, to the big thank you hug I gave her at the end of my husband’s and my big day, Lisa was Incredible every step of the way! She was professional, communicated extremely well, flexible, made sure to understand what I wanted, made me feel comfortable when my nerves were at their highest before walking down the aisle and captured the most beautiful moments of the day for us to remember for the rest of our lives.
I also really loved and appreciated the sneak peak of photos shortly after the big day and how punctual she was in delivering our full gallery.

Where do I even start! Choosing Lisa as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. If you're looking for a natural and romantic vibe, look no further! Besides capturing our day perfectly, she also helped to keep us organized and on track the whole day to make sure we could squeeze in every picture we wanted to before the ceremony or after. As a bride, this meant so much to me to just be able to be in the moment, and not worry about forgetting to capture certain pictures. We are completely obsessed with how our photos turned out, and can't thank Lisa enough for all of her hard work!
After researching photographers for a couple months I came across Lisa's photography. I fell in love! I loved the way she uses light and how comfortable everyone looked in her photos. Lisa was truly the best wedding photographer we could have hoped to hire for our wedding, and I can't recommend her enough to anyone looking in the San Diego area. Being from out of state, I Skyped with Lisa prior to our wedding where she was already organized with a list of questions on schedule that ended up making the entire wedding run extremely smoothly. Everyone part of the wedding party and families commented specifically on how quick and organized Lisa and her assistant were in taking portraits between the ceremony and reception.
I fell in love with the photos afterwards. Lisa had an amazing eye for turning the venue's backdrop into something that looked like a fairytale in photos. She made both of us feel very comfortable during photos and was quick to crack a joke, or make a suggestion if we were ever unsure of timing or order of events.
She was always quick to respond through email or texts and I found her rates extremely reasonable. I could not recommend her highly enough!

With a very short lead time, she was able to put together a plan to ensure we captured images from everything we wanted. Lisa came through for us on so many fronts - incredible photos, a creative plan for the rain - which was unexpected in early May, and we felt so supported in the process.
