It felt like wedding planning with a friend. I always left our calls feeling energized that we were planning an event that was authentically us. I also appreciated Lissa’s top-tier organization skills. Every tool she utilized from Aisle Planner, to the logistics questionnaire, to the decor & inventory google sheet made everything run so seamlessly and made it simple for me to think through and communicate details we wanted for our day. I loved that Lissa met me exactly where I wanted to be regarding involvement in wedding planning. I wanted to be highly involved in vendor selection, design, etc., and she let me run full speed with that, but there was SO much happening behind the scenes that she handled seamlessly leading up to and on our big day. The day of was beyond enjoyable for my husband and I as a result - Lissa orchestrated everything to perfection! We could not be more pleased. Despite last minute switch-ups due to weather, every detail was flawlessly executed, every single vendor knew what they were doing with the new plan, and not a single guest would’ve ever guessed this wasn’t plan A. She somehow was simultaneously coordinating all vendors yet also by our side helping with whatever we needed - grabbing drinks, conducting bun CPR when my veil crushed it, getting lipstick out of my dress, she really covered it all! Wedding planning has a reputation for being stressful, but the planning process was such a joy with Lissa.

he complexity of our ceremony, this was a more demanding job than most. We could not be happier with the job Lissa did. She introduced us to the most talented vendors that we never would have known about otherwise. She helped us choose the perfect venue. And she choreographed a whole weekend's worth of events that all went off without a single hitch. Immediately on our first call, Lissa eased any and all concerns and worries about planning a wedding, and her expertise came through right away, which is especially needed when working with a historic venue like mine (DAR in DC) Even though I got the partial planning package, Lissa was always available via text or email, and we also had multiple phone/Zoom calls as well where she would help make an actionable plan for the following weeks/months ahead. On the actual wedding day, I ate, drank, relaxed, danced, laughed, had fun, and I didn't have to worry about a single thing! The whole day was truly perfect and executed FLAWLESSLY. In addition, Lissa's colleagues during the day of, Abby and Gio, went above and beyond, and they even took surprise candid polaroid pictures to put in my guestbook which was such a sweet surprise the next day! 10/10 recommend 🌟

Lissa's strength is that she made us feel that "she's got us," and that all will be smooth on the wedding day. Though we utilized her in-person starting at 3pm, Lissa coordinated our ENTIRE day ahead of time so that it all ran well. During the wedding, she checked in on us and our parents several times to make sure all were happy while also cueing each event on the timeline. In addition to all of the task oriented things we were thrilled with, Lissa has a beautiful personality and we felt like she was another best friend at the wedding. Whether you need a full blown wedding planner or a day-of coordinator, we highly recommend her!

wedding -- we were totally confident that she had everything under control. All of her vendor recs were also spot-on, and she was able to give us the wedding of our dreams (and better). We had sort of a complicated wedding with multiple ceremonies and moving people across the city, but it was a perfect and utterly hitch-free with Lissa in control! Many of our guests even told us afterward how smooth everything went. She even helped us after the wedding to follow-up on some items with vendors -- going above and beyond her contractual terms to help us out. We couldn't have done this without her, and are so grateful for her expertise, attitude, and professionalism.

we weren't sure if a wedding planner was necessary, as I LOVE party planning and am particularly detail oriented- but that ultimately is WHY Lissa was so helpful. Rather than worry about details day of, I could just relax and know it was all in great hands. She kept us on pace the whole time and gave us feedback on what was worth our mental energy and what wasn't. She responded to communications promptly, both to us and our vendors. Her associate planner Julianna is also amazing, she went to bat for me on our wedding day and the days leading up to it when somethings weren’t going as planned and fixed it in a blink of an eye, no hesitation. Our wedding was a dream come true and a large part of that was because of Lissa and Julianna. Even now that it’s all done I still chat with Lissa from time to time and I know exactly who I’m going to go to if I have an event to plan too. To start, we were one of the couples who got married in 2020 and needed to cancel the big wedding party multiple times because of COVID. Lissa was so understanding and we did not have a hard time communicating with her. That’s when I knew that she does not treat her job as mere business but she really cares for her clients!! Lissa and I exchanged emails a lot months prior the wedding and we had logistics meeting closer to the celebration date. She has given me a lot of advice through her responses, documents and references she shared. She also took care of coordinating all my hired vendors, creating an organized time plan and ensuring I did not forget any details during the process. On the day of the wedding reception, Lissa and her assistant Raquel helped set-up the wedding decors. That was a big lifesaver since when I was initially planning, I wasn’t sure if DOC in general does that and when she said that she’ll do it, I was very relieved. So for all DIY brides out there, please hire Lissa and she will help make your wedding vision into a reality! If there is one thing I will change, I will probably hire her Partial Planning service or if you have the budget, the Full Service planning. Lissa knows a lot of great vendors that she can suggest to the couple and they will be able to work together from the start and make your dream wedding possible. Again Lissa is so worth it. She is very responsive so I felt secure throughout the process! Thank you Lissa for making our day more special and you were truly a lifesaver!

Checked in on both of us so much, always made sure we had drinks in our hands, and made the whole night run so seamlessly. I also have to give a shout out to Lissa, she was literally on the floor putting my vans on for me…AND had spray deodorant literally on hand when I asked for it! We have a bridal party that loves to have a good time, and they kept us on schedule and in line! I can’t thank them both enough for their hard work to make our day so special. 10000% hire Lissa and her team to take care of you on your special day, you will have the best day EVER!!!

My bridal party was so grateful that she came around and handed everyone tissues during the ceremony. During pictures she was constantly making rounds handing my husband and I water which was SO necessary. Lissa made sure everything was packed up at the end of the night, taking the stress off the rest of our bridal party/family. Having someone on our side throughout the whole process was so worth it. 1000% recommend Lissa and her team!

She was emailing with myself and vendors weeks and months in advance, and she helped us postpone our May 2021 wedding to May 2022—making sure our vendors were available and on the same page. There were so many little things she did the day of our wedding without even being asked, like setting up our After the Tone Guestbook, moving decorations from ceremony to reception, herding family members for portraits, and so many other things that I’m probably unaware of! I can’t thank her enough for all of the time and effort she put into making our dream wedding come true! 12/10 would recommend her services to any bride-to-be!
