His mastery of it carried him through three successful wedding photography companies in 16 years, all the way to Hollywood, where he also works as a publicity stills photographer for television and film. As an Atlanta-area wedding photographer and mentor, he's literally taught dozens of photographers, from multiple companies, in addition to shooting more than 700 events himself. ry so I have seen my share of photographers, none compare to the professionalism, quality, and personality of his team. It is one thing to watch couples have their pictures taken, but when we started getting our first look and portraits done, I realized I had no idea how to pose or what to do, Mike and Rachel saw my problem and told us exactly what to do and how to pose. And we couldn't be happier with how they turned out! Their knowledge, experience of lighting, and composition are absolutely out of this world. Our first look was 3 hours before sunset, and they made it look as if the sun was pouring through the windows behind us, inside a dark Mansion. Mike even put his tripod into a water fountain to get the light *just* where he needed it. We received our sneak peek the very next day, and the entire album so much faster than we thought too! They were very prompt on communication too, emails and texts all answered very quickly, we knew exactly the timeline we had and Mike and Rachel made sure to keep us all on track on day-of. They even got shots I didn't know I wanted. If you want world-class photographers for your wedding day, I wouldn't recommend anyone else except LitWed.

affordable based on his expertise! We also loved that he spent a lot of time upfront (such as the lighting) to make sure his photos turn out well, which is what I prefer rather than having too many edits. When working with Mike, you can tell that he loves what he does and cares about his work. He is very professional and easy to work with. I knew I could trust him to take our photos that blew the mind. We also had his assistant, Andrew to take photos during our wedding. Mike’s clear directions and enthusiasm has made us feel comfortable taking photos and look forward to them once available. I would 100% recommend LitWed for anyone who is looking for amazing photographer who can produce art and a great person to work with!

I am so grateful for). I am so glad we did an engagement shoot with him because it helped us not be so anxious or unfamiliar with how it felt to be the focus of pictures on the wedding day. I am also super grateful for the time he made for a few more bridal portraits. Being a COVID bride, I wasn’t sure how our photos would turn out- we ended up having a 50 person wedding in my parents’ front yard- but every photo looks like a dreamy venue from a fairytale!!! thought that she would not be able to get the outdoor photos she wanted at her beautiful venue. Between Mike, and his amazing assistant photographer, Rachael, they were able to manipulate umbrellas and drone flashes to keep my daughter and her groom dry AND create the illusion of sunlight coming into the photo behind them. Not only did she get her outdoor photographs, but they are also incredible works of art. Several folks have already told me that the photographer needs to send the photos to a magazine because they are so amazing. As the mother of the bride, Mike and Rachael were easy to work with and willing to take the photos that I wanted of family, etc as well. Call Mike Moon of Lit Weddings for your wedding. Owner
Mike Moon is a 30-year veteran photographer and a master of light. He started on film cameras as a combat photojournalist in the U.S. Marines. Aside from weddings, Mike works on movies and television sets for the Georgia film industry, including regular stints as a stills and gallery photographer for The Discovery Channel and major films. You can follow his movie work on IMDB at imdb.me/MikeMoon In his free time, Mike works out, swims, barefoot runs and spends time with his wife of 20+ years and and twin “Moonpies,” who are entering high school this year. His goldendoodle's name is Fergie.
