Let me start off by saying that "Little Black Dress Paperie" came highly recommended by my own family who utilized them the year prior. Though I viewed their work online and was extremely impressed with what I viewed on social media, my experie...nce during my appointment left a bitter taste and I had to give this vendor a review.
Having never planned a wedding before, I did not know much about all of the intricate details that go into creating an invitation. I arrived at my appointment on time and there was a delay in beginning the appointment as both Patty, the owner, and another worker assisted other brides. When our appointment began 15 minutes later than scheduled. Not knowing much about the stationary process or the details that go into creating an invitation, I had an idea of a budget which could have been easily modified with some kindness, patience, and education on different aspects such as card stock, foil, thermography, etc. I would have gladly revised my preliminary budget and would have spent the money for the quality of service and product. When I see something I want, I hear the options, but I normally get what I want or close enough. Unfortunately, once I told Patty the range of my budget, her next statement was "you will not get an invitation here for that price" and she then was no longer interested in continuing our appointment. At that point, I realized, I was not going to give this business a dime. I cannot in anyway support a vendor who spoke to me in a manner that I believe was rude and condescending and overall not customer friendly. and I went elsewhere.
After this appointment, I was dissappointed and anxious because of how I was treated. I didn't want to be unprepared for another round so I better prepared myself given how I was made to feel for not knowing much.
I took a chance and visited two other vendors and had a vastly different experience. Thank God. The process of planning a wedding is stressful enough without having someone make you feel worse about your lack of knowlege during it. Trust and believe, I would have paid for something I wanted at "Little Black Dress Paperie" had I received better service. It is vital that people learn how to treat ALL their customers.
