Disappointed indeed - It's business and NOT PERSONAL with this place!
When we reserved and made our request for our officiant, it was made clear to us that it was his day off and I made a point to remember this inconvenience on his part. I also made mention that we would only be interested in the video and no need for a photographer.
The above mentioned details are what I want you to keep in mind as I make my point: officiant's time disruption for his day off, and our initial decision to have little need for anything else but a video.
I will begin with the video. First of all, it was NOT a live stream. Second, it was filmed using only ONE camera angle. I was expecting the video to be multi-angle as seen in other videos. When it became obvious after our ceremony that our virtual guests were not able to share the moment with us, many friends tried to notify and discuss this with staff, but they insisted that it was streaming and the video was uploaded! Meanwhile as this argument on my behalf was taking place, my husband and I reviewed the photography. We then found ourselves deciding to get the FULL photographic package, in addition to the video which was our INITAIL PRIMARY INSISTENCE. At this point, I would like to convey our happiness with the photographer who went above and beyond at our request, obliging with a few additional pictures that were not able to be taken during our ceremony. Which leads me to my second point of dissatisfaction with the officiant and ceremony to include the exchange of rings. There was a disruption in our request to have an exchange of rings performed, after the staff overheard our wedding party discuss the groom's neglect to remember the bride's ring. I assume the staff made a decision based upon overhearing, but NOT by any means for us to ELIMINATE that part of the ceremony! I assume this upon the staff as unbeknownst to them, WE THE WEDDING PARTY had already made our own plans to make sure that we would still EXCHANGE RINGS! The bride still had the groom's ring to give, and the groom was going to use another ring as a replacement. That was our plan as well as sending one of our guests back to the hotel to retrieve the ring, and perhaps arrive back in time. The guest and bride's ring did arrive back in short time, in fact in time for the photographer to take lovely pictures of our "fake exchange" after the fact.
I realize that the officiant was inconvenienced for a short period of time on his day off, but there was absolutely no concession made for us. There was NO DISCUSSION about this revocation of exchange of rings! There was no conversation to be considered for a slight delay, or to make him aware of "our back up plans". Somehow this decision to eliminate the exchange of rings was made - BUT NOT BY US!
I am TERRIBLY disappointed with the ceremony and the video. It did NOT capture at all what I was expecting my special ceremony day to be. We paid a great deal for elevated services, to be sure we got exactly what we wanted, and even provided gratuity as we were made to feel it was required. However, that gratuity was undeserved and the customer service was appalling.
I am the type of person who will not allow myself to be upset about these unfortunate circumstances on the day of our vow exchange. Afterall, the vows are the most important as well as the years that follow. However, I will not recommend this chapel as a place to capture the special occasion.
My daughter and her husband tied the knot here last weekend and I walked away with nothing but accolades to every employee that works there. From the Director of Operations, Dan; our wedding consultant, Laura; photographer, James; assistant manager, Katie and the minister, Domonic ~ this wedding went without a hitch and ever so beautifully! The Bridal Suite, the chapel (and even the clean restrooms) were a cut above what I had expected! We booked the High Roller package and didn't have to worry about a single thing. Our pictures were done and ready 4 days after the wedding . . . I don't know a photographer who works THAT fast! Thank you to all the staff at Little Church of the West from the bride, groom and me! ❤️💙
The Little Church of the West was so easy to work with while planning my wedding from out of state. It seems crazy to call a place on the Las Vegas Strip rustic and romantic but the Little Church really feels that way. It is close enough to everything to make it convenient but away enough from the hustle and bustle to feel private and calm. I was a little nervous about the minister since he had never met my husband or I before but his service was so touching and sweet and felt very personal. The garden area was beautiful during our sunset ceremony and I love how the photos came out. When we went to go pick up our marriage license, I passed some of the other chapels we had considered and was so relieved in our choice. In person, I thought some of the other ones looked tacky, were not in a great location or had ceremony grounds right on a side street. The Little Church of the West was located in a MUCH nicer area of the strip than the others and even though it is directly on the strip, the landscaping makes it feel like it's own private oasis. It is the oldest free standing building on the strip and it feels whimsical and old school vegas without being corny. I also love that it feels like my wedding is part of Vegas history now. The Little Church of the West was the perfect venue for our perfect day!

What a romantic, gorgeous chapel! It's nestled on the strip on this little oasis garden. You would never know you were on the Vegas strip- until you have outdoor photos and everyone is honking at you! Absolutely the perfect venue! I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the photos were! Prepare your budget for the CD up sell at the end- you will want the pictures!
VIVA LAS VEGAS!
We always planned on a Vegas wedding, and being that we aren't religious, we knew that the King was just the man for the job. Once the question was popped, the planning began, and we looked at each and every Vegas chapel website, read each review, looked at thousands of photo galleries, emailed several venues, and without a whole lot of direction, and site definitely unseen, we chose the Little Church of the West. It looked cute in the pictures and seemed to be capable of pulling off the perfect balance of Vegas fun and romantic charm (not cheese).
Needless to say we hit the JACKPOT! The staff was absolutely wonderful, they answered all of my questions on line and even called to ensure everything was fully communicated/understood. We had a few requests like wanting my dad to walk me down the isle, one person each for our wedding party, small group of guests, Elvis, and reading our own vows. They pulled this all off without a hitch! I never felt rushed, and I always felt that the staff really cared- and were even authentically happy for us despite the fact that we were all strangers! Another example of fine customer service presented when last minute I decided I didn't want my groom to see me prior to the main event, so they helped me hide in the car and got me into a waiting room with my matron of honor and my mom so we could relax while the paperwork was completed and we waited our turn. The choices of bouquet were also remarkable and were very nice quality- (it even made it in the car all the way home (to LA) and in a hotel for three days without wilting or discoloration! The staff did mention that they had more flower options that day than they did normally, but they had one that matched the flowers in my hair, and I guess it was our lucky day!! Elvis was delightful and had obviously been informed about our preferences. Having gone to a fair number of weddings, I have to say that his words were everything that I would have wanted to hear on my wedding day - no more no less. The content was thoughtful, articulate, and practical- and I know that those words will forever stick with us. I've noticed other reviewers have reviewed the "authenticity/quality" of Elvis. Our Elvis was EXTREMELY authentic, super entertaining and really looked and sounded like ELVIS! He sang three songs and got everyone involved- but not in a super awkward way- just a fun way. He could definitely hold a room, however he wasnt overpowering.
The photographer was amazing and she made us feel like movie stars and really knew what she was doing- our photos turned out great and we bought them all!
Overall our guests were very happy, and have all given us great feedback on their experience as well. If I had it all to do over again, I would do it the exact same way!
After we arrived in Las Vegas, we couldn't help but drive the strip and check out all of the other venues that we could have chosen. Words of wisdom to other brides booking site unseen: I promise - The Little Church of the West Wedding Chapel definitely looks the cleanest and well-maintained of all the wedding chapels, and though it doesn't have a drive through or crazy lights (which I totally get the importance of novelty), they have everything you need to plan a beautiful, entertaining, worry-free wedding, and they clearly have contracts with a very quality Elvis who will make you feel like you're not just getting married, but tying the most epic and classy knot in Las Vegas History!
The Little Chapel of the West was exactly what we wanted! Very cute and Vegas-y without being cheap or corny. The chapel and the grounds were great, everything went really smoothly though they were packed with weddings before and after us. The ceremony somehow seemed tailored to us, though we had never met the minister prior! It was also very quick but not overly rushed. My only complaint is them rushing us to the office after the ceremony was over to sell us a bigger picture package. Other than that, it was perfect!
Unlike most chapels, Little Church of the West has a quaint, southern, almost rustic charm about it. The building itself is adorable and the intimacy of the space makes for a perfect, meaningful, yet unique wedding venue. Everyone was so friendly and easy to deal with, and our photographer was excellent. The space was the perfect size for our group of 25 - intimate yet comfortable. The ceremony was short and sweet just as we wanted, but this didn’t take away from the sentiment behind the officiant’s beautiful words. I balled all the way through the ceremony! I was told that when the limo bus pulled up, all our friends were gasping at how lovely it is! Many have told us this was the best wedding they have ever attended. We wouldn’t change a single thing about our wedding day, and Little Church of the West will forever be a cherished part of our story.
The chapel was beautiful. The photos were great. The flowers were amazing. I loved everything about my wedding!
Everything was wonderful. For 1500 dollars (the premium package) we got beautiful roses for the whole wedding party, a photographer and a video of our wedding,. The pictures were ready the next day and were gorgeous! The church was small and quaint. Staff was totally professional.
I live out in Vegas but our families are from the East coast, so they just LOVED the chapel!! It was like no wedding they have been to. They loved looking at all the brides lined up to be married!!
I was very impressed how, although we were lined up to get married (not literally lined up. They come and get you) you are not rushed and treated like you are the only ones there. The minister was GREAT!! I thought it was going to be just "do you? do you?" but he had a very nice sermon. Everyone loved what he had to say!
The only complaint was that the girl who took us after the ceremony to look at our pictures was snotty and seemed bothered to be helping us. She didnt even let us know we could view and purchase the pictures online. Luckily there was a card shoved in with our marriage licence that had the website on it.
The Chapel was exactly what I wanted. The location is beautiful and the grounds are beautiful. I didn't want a "hotel" chapel and this was perfect. The photography was mediocre and they missed a few key photo's.
When my husband and I got engaged we had agreed to elope. When it finally came down to it I didn’t want to run off and hide from the world. I wanted everyone to see the love I felt for my best friend!
I searched and searched for the right place, I asked family and friends and everyone pointed me into the same direction, Little Church of the West. So many of my inner circle had shared that one special moment in that little cabin, and not to sound like a follower but I wanted to as well.
My fiancé and I stopped in and I have to say it was a breeze!! Within minutes our wedding, photo and flower package was booked. They even changed our date for a last minute emergency with no problems.
Our Minister was AWESOME and had the best personality! And our vows, even thou they were not the original “Till death do us part” they were so special and meant the world! My flowers were beautiful and my photos are PERFECT!
I highly recommend this Church!
This was the cutes place in Vegas to get married. It was great because it had packages that where all inclusive and had everything you would need for that day. Also the pictures where wonderful and the staff was great.
We got married June 4th, 2011 at 7 p.m. Fairly busy, etc. and we were a few minutes late. No matter, everything was ready! Even though the minister spoke to us for a few minutes, it was like he'd known us forever. The ceremony was short and sweet, the pictures gorgeous, and the pics and DVD ready to go the next morning! The church and ceremony were beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful - plus, they let us have our own music. We chose "'Til There Was You" by the Beatles for the processional and "Love You Madly" by Cake for the recessional. They had it ready!
When researching venues for our wedding ( I was planning completely online from the east coast!) I fell in love with the Little Church of the West!(we needed seating for at least 60...which precluded many chapels from being an option!) Everything was super simple to plan. We chose the forever true package. I had four bridesmaids and my husband had three groomsmen. We had 60 guests attend our wedding from the East Coast and everyone raved about the chapel, the ceremony, and the staff afterward. Our wedding was wonderful, the flowers were gorgeous and the photography was great too! We added on the vegas sign package and are so happy that we did because every one of our guests joined us and we have great shots of the entire group in front of the sign. The photographers were hysterical and so much fun to work with. The ceremony was beautiful, the Limo was a great luxury to have and the Champagne was Delish! I was so affraid that i would be one of the brides that after the wedding day said "I would have done this differently" or "that was not worth the money or the trouble!" I AM NOT! It was absolutely PERFECT and I'm so happy that we chose Little Church of the West! If you want a classy adorable chapel to get married in, in Las Vegas...this is totally it!
I loved my ceremony, the flowers, and the photography that was provided. Everybody was wonderful. My only comment would be that initially and afterward, we felt very "assembly-line-ish". However during the ceremony it was beautiful, peaceful, and lovingly delivered. They are very efficient, they know what they are doing and I loved the officiant. The chapel is quaint and beautifully decorated and the photographers specifically looked for special, memorable moments to capture, which I truly appreciated.
Loved the chapel, felt rushed but that comes with the place. Don't expect AMAZING pictures, pictures turned out OK!
Little Church of the West is definitely as the name claims - very little. Yet it had a very nice feeling there and overall we were pretty happy with our ceremony. Do not plan your wedding here if you hoping for a more traditional ceremony - it is definitely a wedding mill. We were in and out of the chapel is about 6 minutes. I hardly remember our ceremony as it was so short. There is no long aisle to walk down so only the first couple of lines of the song I had chosen were played. We haven't received our photos yet and sort of felt the poses were a little cheesy but haven't seen the results yet so can't fully comment on that. And things were very organized. The flowers were just as I had asked for and I loved my bouquet. All staff at the Chapel were very helpful.
Overall: We have a bit of buyers remorse about the package we chose (the most expensive one) as it probably wasn't worth it but we were were able to choose whatever flowers we wanted and however many bouquets and bouts we needed. We also had a 12 person Escalade Limo pick us up at our hotel and take us back afterwards (after a bit of a strip tour). Free champagne in the limo as well. If you are looking for a wedding with a "Vegas" feel, this is a great choice.
Chapel was so cute, ceremony was very short, photographer was great.
we were married on 10.10.10, busy day for sure. i was very happy with my wedding planner Stella and would recommed her hands down to anyone who is planning a wedding there. she was amazing.
there were a few mishaps that should not have happened with the package we paid for but overall when balanced with Stella's performace, care and concern I would recommend the chapel for a small family wedding but I would definitley review ALL DETAILS b4 ceremony to insure 100 % satisfaction.
It was intimate and romantic. Especially at night. The chapel was beuatiful.
We wanted a small quick and sweet ceremony. This is exactly what we got at Little Church of the West. Everyone at the chapel was lovely to work with.
From the flowers to the limo ride back to the hotel, it was perfect!
The chapel is a historical landmark on the world famous Las Vegas strip, but still has maintained it's classic beauty. Our 60 guests fit comfortably inside the chapel. We chose the organ player as opposed to the recorded music that was included in the initial price, and we were very happy that we did. She was great and really added a special touch to our ceremony. The officiant was also very good, enunciating well and speaking at a good volume for all to hear without sounding like yelling. My only complaint was that my photographer and guests were prohibited for taking pictures inside the chapel, which they told me when I booked the ceremony. That was because they had their own photography packages for sale, which I understand, but when you spend thousands on your wedding photography, you want it at all times. They were allowed to take photos during the ceremony, but after, everyone was ushered out while their photographer took pictures of the bridal party. The photos were included in the package I purchased, so either way, I got my photos. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone.
