Little River Flower Farm

Nancy is so talented! I had wanted to work with a local flower farm to supplement the abundant supply of hydrangeas from my parents house and was just astonished with the flowers that Nancy picked just off providing her with an idea of what my wedding colors were. We did ask LRFF to assist with the swag on the arbor and I was blown away with how beautiful it turned out. I’m so happy we were able to drive out to Buxton to see the farm as well. It was such a special thing to do with family and friends to have everyone feel a part of the celebration and see everyone’s creative eye for what to put together out of the buckets LRFF supplied for our big day. We ended up being able to line the aisle with buckets of flowers, I placed flowers in cabins where our guests stayed, we made our own bouquets, made the flower girl crowns, had bud vases on the tables for the reception, added flowers on to our wedding cake as well as creating basket arrangements that were scattered throughout the camp/ reception area. They were stunning! I wish I could plan more events in Maine just to work with LRFF again.

We were married on August 24, 2019, at an outdoor venue in Saco, Maine. Nancy’s flowers were absolutely beautiful. I emailed her some examples of what I liked and, while what she created wasn’t exactly what I had showed her, the flowers turned out even more beautiful than what I had hoped for. Nancy made for us table garlands, large floor pieces for the ceremony and reception entrances, bouquets from myself and my bridesmaids, hanging jars with flowers to line the aisle, boutonnieres, and corsages. They were all so full, with many different flowers that went together really well. They also drew from the bridesmaids’ dresses while having some drastic undertones that made the arrangements pop. Everyone commented on how beautiful the flowers were and the flowers looked amazing in our pictures. Nancy also had a lot of great ideas based on her experience, which was helpful for someone who hasn’t been to many weddings. Overall, I am really happy that Nancy did our flowers and I highly recommend her to other couples.

We had the most beautiful wedding. We had a flower vendor we were working with for quite a while through our planner, and just could not make the pricing work. After leaving that vendor due to budget, we called Nancy and LRFF - they saved the day! They were half the price of our other vendor, and the result was beyond perfect. We didn't even notice her swooping in to set up (partially thanks to our planner for helping as well), but we got EXACTLY what we were looking for. The one caveat here is that it was sometimes difficult to get a full vision for what it would look like (exchanging pictures via e-mail wasn't the smoothest); while we were not 100% confident with what we were going to get, we now say 'trust in Nancy' --> she'll get you what you want, and then some.

Nancy at Little River Flower Farm was amazing to work with, not only as a person but as an artist! She was so kind and accommodating from the moment we first spoke on the phone, and created the most beautiful flower arrangements I could have imagined. My bridal bouquet in particular was absolutely stunning. I’m so happy we got our flowers from Nancy, and really enjoyed visiting the farm the week before our wedding. Thanks Nancy!

Little River provided absolutely gorgeous flowers for our wedding ceremony & reception this summer! Not knowing much about what we wanted, we came in with color palettes for bouquets, boutonierres, and vases and Nancy really delivered; we were totally wowed by the bouquets and had a great time arranging our centerpieces from her pre-picked buckets. Nancy was helpful and friendly throughout and clear about our options & prices via email and on the phone, and very accommodating with her time when we were on-site.

I can't say enough amazing things about LIttle River Flower Farm and Nancy for my wedding flowers. I was an out of state, destination wedding bride and finding a florist was tricky. Add getting married on an island and needing 20+ table arrangements to come via ferry to the mix but LRFF was the answer! Nancy asked for photos of arrangements I liked, discussed budget and what would be in season. I gave Nancy a few ideas but overall gave her free range and the arrangements were the most gorgeous flowers I've ever seen. She exceeded all my expectations. I would have paid over double the amount had I gone with anyone else. Thank you Nancy and LRFF, so many people complimented how gorgeous all the arrangements were!

I was a pretty clueless bride but Nancy helped me nail down what I needed and wanted for the budget I set. After some Instagram photo swapping and a few emails later she had come up with beautiful bouquets and buckets of flowers and greenery to make my own centerpieces for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend!

Let me start by saying the flowers from Little River were beautiful. We ordered a few buckets to arrange our own flowers, and they were exactly what I'd envisioned, perfect color and height, and you get a lot in each bucket. Nancy, though, was tricky to work with. She never responded to my emails- I went into the week of my wedding with blind faith that she'd received my deposit and was set to have flowers for me. We finally had the briefest of calls at 9pm the night before I was supposed to drive 45 min to Buxton to confirm. I get that Nancy is busy growing and picking gorgeous flowers, but I'd talked to some super helpful and responsive people at slightly further away farms. If I ever need flowers for an event, I'd look elsewhere.

Nancy and Bruce are so amazing to work with. I gave Nancy a blank canvas with a few ideas for flowers for our wedding, and they were amazing!!! I received so many compliments on them. They smelled amazing and were beyond what I could have imagined! Her attention to detail speaks for itself!!! I recommend for any of your flower needs!!

Nancy at LRFF was recommended by our wedding planner, who immediately suggested her after we shared our vision for local wildflowers at an affordable price. We caught Nancy during an extremely busy time of year and she was unbelievably accommodating, and she made the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers, and a dozen or so boutonnieres with design specifications. Though we had some hesitation about driving 2 hours to pick flowers early in the morning, it was really fun and totally worth it. Between the gorgeous flowers and my mother's talent for flower arranging we were able to get a stunning display of table arrangements for a fraction of the price we would have paid to get a professional florist to do everything, and it was priceless that every flower came from Maine and was not shipped in from an anonymous supplier. We highly, highly recommend working with Nancy. Book early!!

Nancy is wonderful! She has the amazing ability to not only help you create a vision, but to turn that vision into a beautiful reality. The arrangements she put together managed to be both cheery and elegant. She also graciously invited folks out to Little River Flower Farm the day after our wedding so that we could tour the grounds. From start to finish she was a talented joy to work with!

Nancy was very pleasant to work with- I chose to do pick my own flowers. It took about an hour for two people to pick two buckets in September. I was a little nervous that I was going to have to order flowers if a frost had happened, but they came out beautiful. There were two large fields to pick from and two greenhouses for special bouquet flowers.

We used Little River Flower Farm for our wedding flowers. We picked the flowers for the bouquets. There were a number of options to choose from so we could get just the look we were going for. Nancy made the corsages and bouts and they were absolutely gorgeous. We just gave her our colors and she took it from there.

I can't say enough good things about Nancy at Little River Flower Farm. She was an absolute joy to work with and made the flower buying process so easy. She dealt with our many changes and requests flawlessly and was always easy to get in touch with. The bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and arbor she created were breathtaking. We had so much fun picking our own flowers for the centerpieces that we made on our own too! I will be recommending LRFF to all of my friends getting married in Maine. Thank you!

Little River Flower Farm provided the flowers for our June wedding and they were absolutely stunning! In April, 2 months before my wedding, we still had not found a florist for the wedding, then we found Little River Flower Farm through a recommendation. Nancy and her husband are both very sweet and a joy to work with. They were able to get everything done within a short timeline, and the results were spectacular. They provided all of the flowers for the entire bridal party, table centerpieces, and even a beautiful garland for a fence at the ceremony site on Fort Preble. They even delivered and set up all of the flowers, so that we didn't have to worry about it.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Nancy and the rest of the staff at Little River Flower Farm. From our first meeting at the farm to the day of our wedding, Nancy was extremely helpful, responsive, and generous with her talent. She took our rather vague hope for "colorful wildflowers" and crafted gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres for our entire wedding party, even incorporating blueberries into the groom's boutonniere! Our flower girls stole the show with their beautiful flower crowns (truly the best ones I've seen). In addition, Nancy was more than accommodating when we expressed the desire to pick our own flowers to use for table displays. Two days before the wedding, my bridesmaids and I showed up at the farm with buckets and mimosas and had so much fun picking flowers. There was a huge range of vibrant, colorful flowers to choose from, and even with minimal flower arranging experience our decorations turned out wonderfully. Working with Little River Flower Farm was easily one of the most positive and stress-free parts of planning our wedding, and I could not recommend them more highly.

We used Little River Farm as our florist for our wedding and were very happy with all of the floral arrangements and for a reasonable price. All of the arrangements were truly spectacular.

Nancy was great to work with on the phone. I was two states away, so communication was important.

My husband and I got married in York, Maine, August 28th, 2015. We researched flower farms in Maine, as we knew wanted wild, in season flowers, and we wanted to support our local farmers. I worked with Nancy step-by-step, designing our flowers, bouquets, and boutonnieres, getting an estimate, and working a delivery plan to southern Maine. Nancy was very easy to communicate with, and made the entire process so simple. I received 14 centerpieces, 1 bridal bouquet, 2 smaller bouquets, 3 corsages, and 6 boutonnieres. The morning the delivery driver pulled up to the inn with our bouquets, I realized Nancy was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding!! They were exactly what we envisioned and asked for. I could not stop starring at how beautiful they were. All of our family and friends were amazed when I told them I got our flowers from a flower farm, and one wife and husband put everything together. I paid one-fourth of what a friend of mine paid for he flowers, and that was because I had to pay a well worth it delivery fee. Nancy and her husband are amazing. I would recommend them to any bride and groom looking for beautiful, in season flowers. I never could have imagined they would turn out as beautiful as they did. We also visited their farm a few weeks before our wedding and it is just breathtaking. I can not say enough about how amazing Little River Flower Farm is!

If you want the wild flower look, this is the place to get your flowers! Nancy and her team are wonderful to work with and are very passionate about what they do... I did research and talked to a number of local farms but went with LRFF because it was clear they take pride in what they do. I went the route of picking my own flowers for everything except the bouqetts, boutonniers, and corsages. I loved picking my own flowers, I had never done it before but love fresh flowers and work with them in my home. It took some work and planning but it was a great memory. The bouqetts etc, that LRFF created for me were exactly what I wanted. I had sent emails and talked with Nancy on the phone and she listened... really listened and they were perfect! I am so pleased I went with them!! Highly recommend!

Nancy Stedman and her team at the Little River Flower Farm were awesome! We had my bachelorette party at the Farm the day before my wedding (everyone was in town), we picked and arranged all of the mason jar centerpieces. We started out picking flowers and after we finished creating the centerpieces we played some fun games, drank champagne and had a delicious lunch. It was blissful. The next day Nancy delivered all of the centerpieces (as well as bouquets, garlands, and urns) to the Inn on Peaks and arranged everything beautifully. What a fun experience!!

Little River Flower Farm was amazing! When I saw the flowers lined up in the venue, I was overwhelmed with a feeling that everything had come together even more perfectly than I could have asked for. Nancy was AMAZING to work with - I had some very specific and some odd requests and she was so encouraging about them all-and she made each come to life! From building barn boxes for our placecards and centerpieces (yes, she built them) to finding the most gorgeous vibrant oranges for our flowers, she made the vision a reality. She also built my bouquet to specification-including creating and deconstructing it so that I could have a core bouquet that I built on as I picked up flowers from my besties on the way up to the aisle (I did not want 10 bridesmaids, but did want them all in the wedding!). It was amazing, everyone was so touched and while neither one of us quite knew how it was going to work, it was perfect. Her flowers are gorgeous, farm fresh and local; and her rates are very reasonable --I would highly recommend Little River Flower Farm for amazing flowers and a great, easy to work with vendor.
