Located in New Orleans, LA, Livaudais Hall is an event venue that caters to wedding ceremonies and receptions. Immaculately restored in 2017 the former church offers a truly stunning location for engaged couples to celebrate their nuptials. Boasting a sanctuary with a 40-foot domed ceiling and a range of indoor and outdoor spaces, this venue is sure to enchant couples and guests alike. Established in 1875, the property was originally constructed to house the St Francis De Sales Catholic Church. It provided a place of solace and peace for the local neighborhoods for over 140 years before being sold. Remaining a key part of the community, the rectory and surrounding compartments were turned into accommodation, while the main chapel was renovated to include modern amenities. It is now used as an event space to celebrate special occasions, boasting both indoor and outdoor areas. The sanctuary offers a truly magnificent room for receptions, with a domed ceiling that can be illuminated in different shades to match your choice of color palettes, with huge windows that allow light to flood the space. Polished wooden floors and carved pillars add to the elegant and airy feel that the room evokes, while also offering an incredible backdrop for pictures. A 1,200-square-foot balcony overlooks the sanctuary floor, allowing guests to gaze down at the festivities while enjoying a quiet moment. It can also be used as an additional seating area. For couples who love to be outside, they can opt to exchange their vows in a garden ceremony or celebrate their cocktail hour on the 1,000-square-foot-patio. Livaudais Hall caters to all ceremony types, including religious and non-religious events. While the sanctuary area can accommodate up to 300 guests, couples may combine indoor and outdoor spaces to host up to 500 of their nearest and dearest. For a smooth and stress-free experience, tables and chairs for 100 people are included in the site rental package, as well as the use of a food preparation kitchen.
