We got married in September and had Live Audio and Events booked almost a year in advance. As advertised on theknot, it states that their pricing is affordable and inexpensive. We paid over $2200 to have him on our wedding night for 7 hours. Plus a last minute additional $50 to have an audio recording of our ceremony. I have to say, of all our vendors, this one was sadly the most underwhelming. We met with Justin a week before the wedding to make sure we had everything ironed out. His professionalism and knowledge and overall help are outstanding. During this meeting we expressed to him that we are HUGE music people and that having a certain playlist played throughout the night was of utmost importance. My husband and I spent months creating a playlist that was very meaningful and important to us and shared it with this vendor. Come wedding day, our “special” songs were played as expected. i.e. ceremony, first dances, cake cutting, etc. However, very few were played from our playlist that we had requested. This was truly a bummer as we were extremely excited to hear most of our favorite songs. He claims that most of the songs that got played were requests from guests. After speaking with many attendees, there were only a handful of songs requested to be played; I’m not sure what was playing in the meantime between special songs, requests, and the few somgs from our playlist that got played. Additionally, the last minute decision to have our ceremony/vows recorded was definitely accommodated, but not worth the extra $50 that we paid. With volume all the way up, it is hard to hear. Not a big deal, but the vendor expressed several times that to produce this recording would be quite simple and wouldn’t take any additional time out of his day as he prepared for the ceremony/reception. That all he had to do was “plug a usb into his laptop and press record.” So an additional $50 on top of the already high price we paid to have him for the night was a bit much. We also had a medical emergency happen during our reception. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, one of the dj’s approached my husband and said “you are starting to lose people.” A comment that we thought to be very rude and disheartening considering the emergency medical circumstances. All in all, I was not very impressed, which is a bummer because Justin is truly a kind and easy person to talk to. My recommendation, if you want specific songs played and a more affordable DJ, save your pennies and look elsewhere.
