Our lovely wedding planner, Liz Dougherty of Happy Together Events, managed to bring the dreams and the practical together with composure, efficiency, and humor. She listened to our bride and made confirming suggestions that would validate her choices and guarantee a smooth celebration. --- only happy tears! But they really shined on the wedding day as our own personal wedding superheros, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! We had weather issues that required us to move our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and cocktail hour with no notice. But they made it all happen seamlessly and prevented a total bride meltdown I'm sure. Throughout it all, they stayed calm and cool and helped make sure we enjoyed our big day. We could NOT have done it without them! Our only regret was not having them do full coordination. I wish they would have been along for the ride from day one! If you can fit full coordination in your budget, do it. Seriously, they are the BEST - hire them!

ife and I agree it was the best decision we made. Liz was amazing at coordinating with all the vendors and our wedding party. With a million DIY decorations my wife planned, we were so grateful we did not have to think about any of the setup or take down ourselves, or pass this burden onto guests. She made sure that from the beginning to the very end of our wedding day we were getting what we needed to enjoy ourselves. That includes making sure my wife and I had some private moments to reflect, eat our dinner, and take in just how amazing the wedding was. One of my favorite moments was Liz running and grabbing me a drink so I wouldn’t have to leave my wife on the dance floor. Seriously, we are so appreciative of everything Happy Together Events did to make our wedding exactly how we imagined!

From the first day we met with Shanese, she had every detail laid out and a thorough work back plan to ensure that nothing was missed and that we were as prepared as you can be for a wedding. A lot of the stress that can typically come from wedding planning was alleviated by the support that Shanese provided leading up to the wedding (her check lists will save you). Unfortunately, Matt and I faced a crisis on our wedding weekend that would be the worse fear of many couples – a wildfire was quickly approaching the resort and we were at risk of evacuation. Shanese and Liz were our saving grace, we truly believe that we would not have gotten through the weekend without their support and calm demeanor. Due to the wildfires, we ended up making a last minute call to move our wedding up by one day. Luckily, since it was a destination wedding, most of our guests were already at the resort and were able to still attend. We know that very few wedding coordinators could throw together a wedding in 7 hours, but Shanese, Liz and their team did it. They called every single one of our vendors (the florist, our photographer, baker, DJ, string quartet, the photo booth company, hair & make up stylists, etc.) and told them about the last minute change. For those vendors that weren’t available, Shanese and Liz found local vendors to provide services and did their best to negotiate refunds for any of our vendors that couldn’t come on short notice. They pulled together a ceremony rehearsal one hour before we needed it to start, and somehow got every person in our wedding party at our spur of the moment rehearsal on time (that's 28 people including ring bearers and our parents). Our bridal party, family and all of our guests have continually told us since the wedding how wonderful everything turned out. We are not exaggerating when we emphasize that the wedding ceremony and reception ended up even better than we ever could have imagined. We’d even go as far as saying that it turned out better than it would have without the last minute change. Even through the chaos of trying to ensure our wedding ran smoothly and that everything was set up correctly, Liz was able to contain some family drama and kept Matt and I as far away from that as she could. Additionally, by taking our phones away as the wedding ceremony approached, we were able to truly enjoy the most important moments of our day without being interrupted by text messages and phone calls. The fact that we were able to still get married and have the wedding of our dreams, even with the threat of evacuation due to a rapidly approaching wildfire, is all due to the hard work and expertise of Shanese and Liz. We cannot say it enough – we strongly recommend using Happy Together Events for your wedding. You can rest assured that they will take the stress off your shoulders, will manage any day of drama with a calm demeanor and will always be the rock you need on your big day. We had monthly phone meetings leading up to our wedding to make sure my man and I were on schedule to complete everything that needed done. It was incredibly helpful to have someone there to answer all of our questions. The rehearsal, the ceremony and reception went incredibly smooth thanks to these ladies. My head was spinning with all that was happening (Duh, it was my wedding day!). Because Liz and Shanese were there, I did not have to worry about the little details that could have become disasterous. Did the caterer bring ALL of the food? Did the DJ get our song request list? Did all of the vendors get paid when they arrived? There is no time to think about these things when you are a bride. Let them handle it!! They are fantastic and it was a blessing to have them at our wedding!

OU picture it. Our wedding was flawless and we owe it all to Happy Together Events. Even during set up, our vendors were begging for her information because everything looked so beautiful. If you're looking for someone who puts as much effort into your day as you do, this team has it down! From detailed timelines, to every decoration you imagine she will make sure it's where it needs to be and everything is scheduled just right. Let's not leave out the fact that this team does all the setup and clean up. I was nervous my deposit wouldn't be in full as we have a messy group of people, but they made sure everything was taken care of long after we were off to our honeymoon. ur wedding involved a bunch of different vendors, and was hosted at a very DIY venue. Shanese and Liz made sure we had everything sorted out before our big day, with great email and in person communication. I’m not even sure we know everything that they did on the day of our wedding to make sure the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and clean up went smoothly. And when our marriage certificate ended up with them after the reception, they mailed it to us before we’d even realized it was missing. :) To top it all off, when we discovered that the wedding that was being held at our venue the day before ours had purchased and hung string lights, Shanese and Liz arranged with their wedding coordinator to leave the lights up for our wedding, and facilitated taking them down afterwards. Liz and Shanese really went above and beyond to make our wedding a success!

On our wedding day, they worked extremely hard to ensure everything was running smoothly and I never had to worry about a thing! They helped us create an entire timeline for the day so there would be no stress about when we needed to be where. They handled all of our vendors and made sure they were there! the beginning, both Shanese and Liz were incredibly organized and helped my husband and I feel like we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They did an amazing job wrangling our (very large) wedding party, family, friends, décor, set-up, vendors and timing, and they did it all with such ease and professionalism. sband and I could spend as much time with our loved ones as possible -since we do not see them as often as we would like. I did not want to manage all the details that were piling up for the wedding day. If something went wrong, I did not want to know about it, much less fix it myself. By this standard alone, Liz and Shanese were amazing. I am sure not every detail was executed as I had planned it - but I had no idea, the guest were none the wiser, and the whole day turned out beautifully any way! Shanese and Liz were also a very calming force for us. They both went out out of their way to slow down an exciting and emotional (planning) process/(wedding) day so that my husband and I had the opportunity to stop and soak in the moments. They never seemed rushed or in a panic. They both spoke softly and slowly and created a calm and reflective atmosphere. I worked with Shanese during the planning process. She gently pointed me in the right direction and made sure my planning was moving along smoothy. She was informative - I had never planned a wedding before and felt like I was "winging it". She constantly assured me that everything was being taken care of - I lived in fear that I was forgetting something. She handled the majority of communications between my vendors. She was very responsive when I had questions or when the vendors had updates. I felt listened to and taken care of. I felt like I had someone was on my side and it felt like a million bucks! The morning of my wedding we were all in the "Get Ready" room. I was feeling "weird" - numbly answering questions and trying to get through basic conversation. After the room had cleared, Liz asked me "How are you doing?" That simple act of checking on me allowed me to feel free to process (in hindsight) my nervousness. Later, before our grand entrance, she pulled Dimitri and I aside to check in with each other. She was very protective of these moments that could easily be cut out or lost in all the activity of the day. I am so grateful to her for that. Liz and Shanese are on the top of my list for "Things I Did Right/ Totally Worth It/Would Definitely Recommend". Thank you both for making our day run so smoothly. Dimitri and I loved that we got to spend so much time with our family and friends and we owe so much of that to you two!

ll the drama from the bride (unfortunately, the florist passed away the night before the wedding - the bride didn't even know this until the day after the wedding) and even managed to get everyone to the church on time (some members of the wedding party were notorious for showing up late - Liz made sure this didn't happen at this event!). Their attention to detail really lessened last minute SNAFU's and their ability to handle whatever was thrown at them calmly and without drama was amazing!

There are so many aspects and planning details that will drive you absolutely insane the closer it gets to your wedding date so having a coordinator is an absolute must. You tell her how you picture your day going and she makes sure it happens. She's a buffer between you and family so you can save the drama for your mama because with Happy Together Events, there is none! Liz brings a sense of ease and calmness to the table and that was a tremendous gift to me. I was able to enjoy my day and the rehearsal without a care in the world. She ran our rehearsal, spoke to all vendors, coordinated venue set up, ceremony and reception timeline, linens, and caterer. My wedding would have never been the same without her. Please do yourself a favor and budget for them. Your day will run smoother and everyone will be happy that you did.

was profoundly helpful in organizing the ceremony and reception timelines, as well as set up of the ceremony and reception halls. We had several conversations where she got a feel for how we envisioned our wedding and ensured that our dream became a reality. She coordinated arrival, set-up, take-down, and communication among our vendors to ensure that the event happened like clockwork. In fact, both our venue and vendors thanked us repeatedly for hiring Liz, admiring how organized and pleasant she was to work with. I think the most important thing I can attest to is that having Liz as our coordinator allowed us to enjoy our friends and family without ANY stress over the details.
