The Retro Swing Band captures the classic elegance of the Golden Age of Music for your wedding ceremony, cocktail and dinner hours, and ballroom dancing. Let us provide wonderful musical ambiance tailored for your reception and also the Father-Daughter and other special dances. Your parents and grandparents will love the first half of the reception before the DJ takes over! We specialize in music from early 20th century and can play all your requests. We are a duo, trio, quartet, quintet, or octet depending on the needs of the event and venue. For example we can provide a piano/vocal duo for the ceremony, add a bass for the cocktail hour and then play with the 'little big band' octet for dancing. I hired Liz and the Retro Swing Band recently for my father's surprise 75th birthday party. Liz was incredibly easy to communicate with. She answered every question and responded to every email promptly and professionally. We were in constant contact in the days leading up to the gig, which helped ease the stress of setting up for the party. On the day of the event, the band arrived on time and were timely with setting up their instruments. Their set list was exactly what I had requested, 1920's - 1950's, and they played all the songs that I had requested. Retro Swing Band came with a 5-piece band and every musician was just incredible. They were even kind enough to let my father sing a song with them, as well as let a party guest play on the drums for a few songs. If you are looking to hire a band that is professional, authentic, and sounds amazing, do not hesitate to hire Retro Swing Band! They will be a wonderful addition to any party!

Retro Swing was so amazing! They were all very professional, accommodating, and their overall talent was exceptional. We will definitely hire them again and we strongly recommend them for parties and events. Everybody was blown away by how incredibly talented they were. Retro Swing Band recently played at our wedding and they were fantastic. Working with Liz was great! She was so organized and helpful. She worked with us to create a personal set list for the reception which included an original piece written for our grand entrance. We got so many compliments about the music! We were so happy to have them at our wedding.
