genuinely excited and confident in my choice. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite of what I had hoped for, and it caused me a great deal of stress and heartbreak leading up to my wedding. Over several months, communication became nearly nonexistent — there were times I went a month or even longer without any response or update. I tried to be patient and understanding, especially after being told that personal matters were going on, but I was still a paying client with an important day depending on their reliability. Even a short check-in would have gone a long way, but that never happened. Eventually, I lost all confidence that they would show up on my wedding day. I also asked for a shot list because there were certain photos and family moments that were deeply meaningful to me. Instead of collaborating, I was told it wasn’t necessary because of their experience. That response left me feeling unheard and dismissed. They didn’t know me or my family, and I didn’t want to risk losing once-in-a-lifetime moments. I later spoke with an organization (that I would like to keep private) and they acknowledged that communication had been a concern with them as well. That conversation gave me some peace of mind that I wasn’t overreacting. When I finally made the painful decision to cancel, the reaction I received was manipulative, unkind, and deeply hurtful. By that point, the stress had taken a real toll on me — I was physically sick, losing my hair, and felt completely defeated. What should have been an exciting, joyful season turned into constant anxiety and self-doubt. It truly breaks my heart to write this because their artistic ability is undeniable. But communication, professionalism, and empathy matter just as much as talent, especially when you’re dealing with something as emotional and personal as a wedding. I’m sharing this review not to harm them, but to help future couples avoid the pain and uncertainty I went through — and to hopefully encourage these photographers to handle clients with the respect and care their work deserves.
