Our Story
Founded by Caroline Weingart, the bakery is a heartfelt tribute to two women: Caroline's daughter, Lizzie, who lives with severe nut allergies, and her late mother, Liz Emrick. What began as a dedicated home kitchen operation in 2021 has blossomed into a professional commercial hub, driven by the belief that "allergy-friendly" should never mean a compromise in flavor or texture.

- Caroline WeingartOwner and Head BakerCaroline Weingart is the founder of Lizzie’s Bakery Nut Free, the only dedicated nut-free bakery in Northeast Ohio. Driven by her daughter Lizzie’s severe allergies and inspired by the legacy of her mother, Liz Emrick, Caroline transformed a decade of home-baking passion into a professional mission. After refining her craft at Cuyahoga Community College, she transitioned from a cottage business to a commercial hub in Shaker Heights. Today, she is dedicated to proving that "safe" can also be "spectacular," providing families with the peace of mind to celebrate every milestone without compromise.

these allergies. But please do your own research of course. The baked goods are so tasty and the variety is great. They make cakes and cookies and offer cookie making classes and they can ship cookies anywhere. If you get the opportunity please visit this establishment.

was soooooo excited! When I walked to the door there was a flyer stating that they were extending their hours until 5pm! Yay! I walked in at 8:45ish said good morning bubbly and excited! No response. There was one lady from the bakery talking with another customer. Another lady from the bakery working with some type of sticker on the counter. I said good morning again and got a dry “hello”. I politely walked back to my car. This is a new local bakery I was excited to hear about their menu and check things out…but I will not do unwelcoming. I felt very unwelcome. Will not patronize.
