Lizzy did a beautiful job of capturing our wedding in a way that felt authentic and intentional. Her photos aligned with the documentary-style that we were looking for, and she did an absolutely gorgeous job finding perfect lighting for photos that all had to be taken inside due to rain that persisted throughout the entirety of our wedding day. We've gotten feedback from friends that you truly get a feel for who we are in the photos, and from our friends/family that weren't able to attend the wedding, they said the pictures truly made you feel like you were at the event. Behind her talent behind the camera, Lizzy was professional, communicative, and delivered our edited photos super quickly. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. When people say they haven’t looked at their wedding photos in forever, I think they’re crazy because I still look at mine at least 3 times a week!! Lizzy did an amazing job!! Not only is she talented, she made us feel so comfortable and special and gave us all the encouragement. Great experience with lizzy. She was patient and her calm energy helped us feel comfortable taking professional photos for the first time! My husband especially was nervous about the whole ordeal but she gave us pose suggestions and was patient with us and made us feel good about the whole thing (engagement shoot and wedding). And then we got our photos back we were stunned with how they turned out! Her editing style is so unique and just beautiful and fit our vibe and venue so perfectly! We are so happy we chose her and would recommend her to everyone!

She was incredibly prompt, responsive and helped my wife and I be as comfortable as possible taking pictures (not something we have ever felt top notch doing!). So happy we went with Lizzy for our wedding photography!! It was so easy working with her throughout the entire experience. We were planning our Nashville wedding from CA, but connecting with Lizzy was so smooth the entire time. She was so responsive to all our emails and answered any questions we had quickly. She also took the time to connect in person on one of our planning visits which helped give us good idea of what to expect for our big day. She also went out of her way to scope out good first look photo locations to ensure the lighting and surroundings would be just right. The wedding day experience was just as easy as everything leading up to it. Lizzy made everyone feel so comfortable as she captured all the behind the scenes moments and main events of the day. She kept us on schedule (even early!) while going through all the shots, which definitely kept the whole day really chill. After the big day, she turned around our wedding gallery so quickly! We were so surprised and so happy with the results! We were both amazed with all different perspectives she was able to capture of our ceremony and reception and how well it reflected the way we wanted to have our wedding day story told. So many fun, sweet, candid shots that made looking back on the memories really wonderful, and we can’t wait to be able to keep those sentiments for years to come. We ADORED having lizzy as our photographer. She did our engagement + wedding and absolutely love all the shots she got. I don’t know how many friends have commented on how stunning her pictures were & our planner loved her!! She was flexible when we had some mishaps and rolled with all the punches. The photos came out looking amazing and the shoots were fun. All of the best moments of our wedding day were captured and we even got to see a lot of things we missed. Even the staged photos never felt like work. Just fun! And yet, they came out looking better than we could have imagined. Lizzy was a great sport about trekking across Alaska with us to do photos in different places too!

Lizzy was so accommodating with all of our Covid wedding changes during our planning for our February wedding! From downsizing from 150 to just 25 guests, she made the day feel just as special. She braved freezing temperatures to get us some amazing outdoor shots and helped with the timeline planning to make sure we were set with photos of all of the most important moments. We couldn't be happier with the photos and album we received. One of the best investments we made for our wedding day!

Lizzy’s photography was absolutely beautiful and our experience with her was the really great. She did our engagement pictures on a 90+ degree day and somehow made us look beautiful and not at all covered in sweat. She worked with our planner to postpone when COVID-19 shut everything down. She made us feel beautiful and natural when we weren’t used to getting our photos taken. She captured gorgeous photos of our wedding decorations and guests as well as us. She really did a fantastic job and we cannot believe our luck that we found such a good photographer for our most important day!

First off, Lizzy is absolutely AMAZING at what she does. Her portfolio is what initially drew us to her, but she absolutely blew us away at how effortless she made taking photos and how perfect the photos turned out. We had two ceremonies thanks to COVID and we loved her at our first small ceremony so much that we changed our second date to be able to get her as our photographer again. After the first wedding, the best part was knowing she was going to get amazing photos no matter what. Multiple times we said to each other "Lizzy will make it look great regardless" and we were RIGHT! They turned out SO much better than we could have ever hoped. On top of that, she's always smiling, bubbly, and made us feel super comfortable all the time. We are going to continue to use her any time we need photos taken in the future!

She helped us out in a bind last minute. Super responsive and reached out to make sure she was ready! Such a fun Photographer. On time! Has a great eye for a photo! So much fun doing the photos. Highly recommend her. Got pictures back in a quick turn around. Let me tell you I had hundreds of favorites. She took so many amazing photos! I highly recommend her!!!!!

Lizzy was so amazing during the whole process! We had to cancel our original wedding plans due to COVID and Lizzy worked with us to book a new date a whole year later. We had so many compliments from guests about her! Our photos are so beautiful and she got them to us super fast! She made the whole experience fun!! We only had her booked for a short amount of time because it was an intimate wedding, but she was able to capture so many gorgeous images! Her unique style is apparent in our photos. We still have trouble picking our favorite photo because all of them are exquisite. Lizzy's endearing personality was a key factor for why our photos and the day was spectacular. She was great at making us both feel comfortable in front of the camera which could have easily been an awkward situation for us because we've never had a photo shoot before. She has a calm presence that made us immediately relax and have fun. Since we were both confident in her previous work, this also too made us feel relaxed and beautiful. I can't wait to use Lizzy again for our future family photos. I would highly recommend Lizzy to anyone for weddings, engagements, and family photos. She is a dream photographer and I can't wait to cross paths with her again!

I feel like all couples say “We loved our wedding photographer! They’re great!” But for real Lizzy is a cut above the rest. She could have chopped my arm off and I’d still be amazed. She’s that good. Hands down best move we made with the wedding was booking with her! I hate getting my picture taken but somehow she made it feel fun, nature, and normal. She’s very chill and laid back and overall a genuinely great person. We actually felt valued as people and not just another cookie cutter wedding day gig to crank photos out for. My fiance and I had the best experience with Lizzy as our wedding photographer. She has a great talent and eye for photography. Her work is beautiful and unique and exactly what I was looking for and was an incredible turnout. On top of that, not only did my fiance and I have a great experience with her, but also the whole wedding party. As someone who read tons of reviews while looking for vendors (we live in KC and are getting married in Nashville so a lot of our wedding planning has been done from a distance) I wanted to share our experience with Lizzy. Choosing Lizzy as our photographer was one of the best decisions my fiancé and I made in wedding planning! Pictures are a high priority for us, but as someone who doesn’t love getting my picture taken, I was a little worried about finding a photographer that wouldn’t make me feel nervous or worried in the moment. We just got our engagement photos done a few weeks ago and Lizzy made us feel so at ease and able to actually enjoy the moment of being together. My fiancé and I were glowing the entire day after getting our photos done-the whole process was so much fun! She is more focused on capturing the authentic connection between two people rather than trying to recreate some “perfect” shot that is popular on Pinterest at the moment. And that results in photos that are unique, artful, and really capture us as a couple. There are a lot of talented photographers in Nashville, but I feel confident we made the best choice! Lizzy is extremely creative and just fun to be around. Also her pricing is unbelievable for the packages she offers. And that’s not even mentioning the pictures-they turned out BEAUTIFUL. I can’t wait to get our pictures taken on our wedding day! We can not recommend her enough!

Lizzy is amazing!! I wasn't even sure I wanted to do engagement photos because so many come out looking cheesy, but after I saw the photos she did for my sister and her fiance, I immediately booked Lizzy to do a session for me and my fiance. And I LOVE the photos that we got...very natural, very pretty and will look amazing framed and hung up in our new house :) Lizzy is also doing my sister's wedding this weekend and I can't wait to see how the photos come out. She's also just super fun and easy to work with. Photos can be stressful, but the session we did with her was anything but! Definitely hire Lizzy....you won't regret it!

Engagement shoot: My fiance and I hired Lizzy to be our wedding and engagement photographer (6 hours wedding photography coverage + engagement session). We're planning our wedding long-distance and only had one weekend to fit in our engagement photos AND wedding appointments. Lizzy was so flexible and made it work. The weather was iffy, so she was also flexible with the location. We are not very comfortable in front of a camera, and Lizzy made us laugh and feel at ease. Our engagement photos turned out gorgeous and reflected our true selves, not awkward poses that don't actually look like us. We are having a multi-cultural Hindu wedding, and we wanted a photographer who could make everyone feel comfortable but also be efficient. I have no doubt that Lizzy will be able to do that and take phenomenal photos of a really important day for us. Wedding update: We had a traditional Sri Lankan Hindu wedding ceremony outside, so I was a little nervous about Lizzy never having photographed a Hindu wedding before. But I honestly had no reason to worry! She was incredible, and the shots are stunning. She made sure to do her research and have an understanding of what was going on in the ceremony beforehand because she captured the details and both big and small moments. She also managed to catch fleeting glances and moments of laughter that were certainly not planned at all. It was also VERY HOT on the day, and Lizzy was a superstar. She never complained and was completely professional. She also worked really well with our families and guests who had travelled from all over the globe. We spoke with many photographers before we chose Lizzy, and I am so grateful we chose her. The value is incredible, and more importantly, Lizzy will make you feel comfortable and completely at ease amidst the chaos.

One of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding was hiring Lizzy Oakley for our photographer! I am SO grateful that we found her!! Her talent blows me away.
