Local Embers made our day so special. They were professional but so easy at the same time! They didn't make us feel awkward & knocked out all the "posed" photos super quick so we could continue to enjoy our favorite day! We are so glad we hired them!

Local Embers & Co. were amazing! They made me feel beautiful, helped us loosen up and have fun, and remember that the day was about us and not about fulfilling the expectations of our parents (LOL). Although a team member was extremely sick the day of our wedding, they got a replacement photographer who did an incredible job! Very innovative and professional!

Matt and Lindsey were incredible to work with. The two of them together have a way of making you feel so comfortable in front of the camera (genuine belly laughs captured) these photos and the whole experience is one we will cherish for a lifetime. Lindsey pulled me aside several times to be sure if i wanted more solo shots with my groom and timed everything perfectly so we could sneak away during the reception and get some special moments. Even though we had some covid wedding struggles these two were there to support us through all of it and all of the last minute changes. I cannot recommend them enough!

Matt and Lindsey have a magical power of getting the best angle of everyone! The pictures look like they are out of a bridal magazine! They made everyone feel so comfortable because taking picture can feel very awkward.

Matt and Lindsey were so amazing and our photos turned out SPECTACULAR! Our wedding plans were constantly changing because of coronavirus and they were always so flexible and understanding. On our wedding day their fun personalities helped calm nerves and they were such a joy to work with. My husband and I are normally not photogenic people but Matt and Lindsey really helped us in those *what do I do with my hands* moments. Since our wedding turned into an elopement with only six people present, these photos became everything to us. Working with Local Embers was nothing short of an amazing experience. Not only did Matt capture all the traditional moments you want to remember from your wedding day, he took so many candids of special moments that I will treasure forever. Everyone was giving us compliments on how lovely our photos were though no one at the wedding could recall seeing him in the middle of the action; he made the day feel natural and special while being there for every moment. In addition to beautiful wedding photos, Matt was so flexible with us. We had bridal portraits as part of our package, but we were planning our wedding from a different state and never made it in to take them. So, he offered to take an anniversary shoot for us instead a year later—it was such a fun, relaxed shoot, especially for my husband and me since we don’t love having our pictures taken. He’s great at keeping a flow of easy conversation and getting a wide variety of different poses. On top of all that, I never had to wait more than a few hours for a response from him, which was the best communication we had out of any of our wedding vendors. I cannot recommend using Local Embers enough!

Matt & Lindsay are the best! Having a destination wedding, I had to compromise on a lot of things but the one thing I had to have was good photography. They ended up being amazing! They make you feel totally comfortable and natural when you’re in front of the camera. I wanted natural feeling, candid photos that looked awesome and they delivered. We worked with Matt for our engagement photos, my bridal photos and our wedding photos! We cannot say enough good things. Matt photographed my daughter for a bridal shoot in early February; then Matt and Lindsey photographed the wedding in late February. They make an incredible team! They are organized, creative, unobtrusive, positive and want only the best for the couple. The turn around time for receiving the wedding photos was about 2 weeks and the editing was outstanding. I've always had an obsession with everything wedding. I knew when it finally became my turn I was going to do my very best to meet my budget needs while not compromising on my dreams. Matt & Lindsey met both of those needs for my husband and I. I was so nervous to see our pictures, because I've never felt super confident in any pictures taken of myself. My wedding pictures were everything I ever wanted plus more. I felt confident, beautiful, and like a bride. The moment I received our pictures I literally stopped in the parking lot of Wal-Mart to scroll and was in tears. THE MOST beautiful moments were captured. All the pictures show raw, true, in the moment shots. I was so excited to see shots of others that captured so much love. We could not be any happier with our pictures and will cherish them forever!

Where do we even start? Warning: I am about to rave and use a lot of exclamation points. Matt and Lindsey of Local Embers are not only talented photographers, but flat out amazing humans. We were given their name by a friend and what a valued recommendation that turned out to be. Firstly, when they initially Skyped with us to answer our preliminary questions before we decided to book, we chatted for over an hour and mostly because they were so darn easy to get along with and fun! Their own marriage appears so genuine, goofy, loving, and balanced that it makes one feel more secure in booking them as you yourself are headed toward marriage. We saw qualities in them that we could admire, look up to, and trust. Communication through the wedding planning process was so easy and clear. We never had any issues, I am not exaggerating. Quick responders and always thorough. The day of the wedding I can still not believe how wonderful they both were. It was a HOT Texas Fall day and our wedding was entirely outdoors. Oh, and Lindsey was very pregnant. Yet, we never heard one complaint and our pictures were absolutely stunning. Matt was so wonderful and genuine and fun that he made the difficult parts way smoother and took care of sweet pregnant Lindsey in such a precious way behind the scenes. And Lindsey was definitely no slouch; she was positive, upbeat, and sweet and endearing. My now husband and I HATE posed photos and Local Embers captured the most beautiful candid moments without us even noticing. When we did have to be posey they never forced it and allowed for natural moments to happen even within a pose. They were always calm, never appeared stressed, and so fun. Many of our guests and wedding party commented on how terrific they were and we could not agree more. We had a few surprises and hiccups throughout the day on our end, but Matt and Lindsey rode them out like champs and you would have never known if they were stressed. If it is not apparent yet, we loved having these two as a part of our day and are so thrilled we decided to hire them. We loved our day and we love how they captured the day through their lens. I used Local Embers to photograph my entire wedding journey including my engagements, bridals, rehearsal dinner, and the wedding day. Matt was my photographer and he was very professional. It only took about 6 weeks for us to get our photos back, which I feel is extremely quick for the number of photos delivered and their quality of edit Matt and Lindsey were a pleasure to work with before, during, and after our wedding.
