We had our rehearsal dinner here for about 45 people and found it to be delightful! First, we did a cocktail hour on the canal boat, which was really fun--they gave us the option of a bar and hors d'oeuvres if we wanted (we got the bar, no hors d'oeuvres), which the guests loved, and we also had the historian on board to tell the guests about the canal and the history. The historian was great, but our guests did not seem overly interested in listening when they had family and friends to catch up with, so that may be helpful for others to know :). Dinner was good, but the pot roast was not what my in-laws tried at the tasting and were a little disappointed by that. I was most excited about their chocolate chip cookies for dessert, as they are really amazing, but it seemed that they had not made them fresh--they were packaged in plastic and were not the warm, moist cookies I usually have there, so I was not excited about that, though they still tasted good. They are also very firm about the end time of the event, so if you use them, be sure to plan ahead for clean up time and such. The staff overall was really nice to work with, and for the beautiful room, worth it!
